I had problems in playing MKV videos and also I have seen in the android market that many of our Moto users have said that our stock players doesnt give audio for HD MKV files. Give a try to the latest MX Player, its plays everything people!
View 2 RepliesIt seems I am unable to play a .wav file on my DroidX -- I've tried multiple applications including:,doubleTwist, MixZing, Google ,Music, Win-amp and all of them report a .wav file as an unknown file type. The same file plays back fine on my PC with various apps. Is this an Android problem, a Droid X problem or a problem peculiar to my phone?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have Jelly Bean on my Maxx HD. I am trying to copy and paste, or even move files from one location to another. It makes no difference if it's from internal to external SD card or vice-versa. Or even from internal to internal storage but the copy paste does NOT work.
What am I doing wrong? When I choose the files to copy or move, then I choose the new location, the process appears to start but the counter stays on 0% and never moves. All I can do is cancel the operation and try again only to do the same thing. What is going on here?
I have tried the same thing using OI FIle Manager and I get the same results.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had two Razr's behave the same, whenever audio plays, especially using the headphone jack and external speakers, one can hear an audiable click or pop just before and after the audio plays. This happens with Pandora, Rhapsody, and Google Navigator. I haven't tested other audio based apps yet.Verizon and Motorola say they've not heard of this issue, so I'm wondering how many other Razr owners have noticed this pop? Hearing such noises as the audio turns on and off is not acceptable quality for a Motorola branded phone.I don't know enough about how the Android OS works, but I'm thinking there are two possible causes. First, as different apps access the audio hardware the internal electronics of the phone produce an audible pop as the circuits power up and down. Alternatively, the Android OS may be probing the headpone jack trying to determine if it's connected to external speakers. I've noticed that the pop gets louder as the phone approaches 100% charge.
With a 90% charge or better I've even had the audio output go quiet if the headset cable is moved, even though the audio application shows audio is playing. I know that removing the headset cable will pause the player, but in this case hitting play starts the player and it shows progress, but no audio is heard.
I find that some AC3 formatted files can be played while others give me an error about needing an AC3 filter. I find this generally on the higher bitrate videos. For example one is ac3 @ 192k and it plays just fine while another is 640k and says i need an ac3 filter. to play any obviously ffdshow is installed and working to play any ac3. I am confused, I have mainly avi and mkv files.

She said "it looks like we have enough phones in stock for everyone in line now" or something like that. I'm wondering, for those who have waited in Apple Store lines, do they do the same thing? I'm sure there will be many more than 20 people in line, but I would hate to be #93, only to find out hours later that they only had 90 phones in stock for walk-ins.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe stock camera app on my Droid Razr Maxx will no longer open. I have had ICS for several weeks without issue. It was yesterday that the camera stopped working.
I select the camera icon and the screen blanks like it is going to open, but it does not. I come back to the original screen where the camera icon is located.
I have cleared the cache. I have performed a full factory reset. Still no camera. I also tried downloading a third party camera app, and it will not open, due to a camera error. Don't remember the exact words in the error message.
Bottom line, the camera no longer works. I still have my photos, and I can view them using my gallery.
I can no longer save a website to my bookmarks. I get a message that the browser has stopped. Cleared browser cache and history. Still no good. Its with any website too,not just certain ones.
View 9 Replies View RelatedThis problem involves my stock ringtones, more than one though. I get a call and say Big Easy is the tone. It will play for 1 sec, then restart and play the whole tune. Same with Digital Phone sound...rings 1 time, but does not continue ringing. All sounds are on the internal card. I have tried safe recovery mode and still same thing.have also wiped cache of phone at recovery and of the apps. If I keep the tone on a full length selection, no problem, its just that the restarting of the full length and the single ring of the shorter single tones are disconcerting.

It's as if the WiFi is going to sleep when I power the screen off, but it doesn't wake up again. Turning WiFi off and on makes it reconnect.It seems to happen mostly when I'm at home, where I also use the Motorola flip stand with "ESP" smart charger, and a NetGear dual-band wireless router/access point.

I looked at some other audio files in my inbox and saw that some of them did have "Save as Ringtone" and "Set as Caller ID." Is this because of the file type? The only file that seems to work is an mp3. The file I sent was an mp3, but my phone is telling me it's an aac. Are there any other file types I can send it as? I attached the ringtone.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIn an effort to "squeeze" as much life out of my battery as possible I decided to take a Moto Rep's video/recommendation and use the stock Task Manager to turn off selected apps 2 minutes after screen off. This strategy worked pretty good on my Pro, but it doesn't do so well on the Razr. After monitoring the stock Task Manager now for a week, it appears that it does not turn off selected apps after 2 minutes of screen off. We all realize the battery demand on the Razr and there is a lot of experimentation going on (that is a good thing) to develop settings (Smart Actions etc) that prolong time between charges. It would be nice if we could have an effective Task Manager (stock and Moto approved) that would be another "tool in the tool box".

Disabling the stock messaging app enabled me to access the GO SMS app from the lock screen as well as from the Circle widget.

View 5 Replies View RelatedHey, my battery meter (the stock ICS one) is stuck at 90%.Did a 7 hour trip yestereday with several phone calls and when I went to system, battery it showed 90% after like 12 hours off the charger, including a hour of phone calls and I know that's not right. The phone calls do not show up as taking any power. This morning after several reboots still shows 90%.

My stock Email app used to be linked to my office Outlook email. From further research, I have found that it is the cause for warning such as "Unfortunately, process.com.motorola.services has been force closed" or something like that to pop up. My attemp to fix this was to download other developer's apps, but soon to find out nearly all of them only supports POP3 and IMAP. Needless to say I feel nauseating just thinking about spending $20 for apps like ActiveSync and TouchDown for the stupid Outlook email!

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phone doesn't consistently sync, even though I have push email enabled. Happens when I'm both connected to wifi and on 4G/3G. When it's not syncing, mail doesn't even sync when I open the app; I have to manually do it. Completely unacceptable, never had this problem on any other smartphone I've owned (which have all been HTCs). Maybe this is helpful, but the gmail widget and the email widget also do not consistently sync on my device. Maybe there's a trend here that points to a larger problem or solution. But I' m not worried about the widgets; I just want to be able to get my email onto my device, which should be happening with no issues.

View 5 Replies View Related1. My phone is lagging. I notice that that this starts occuring when my internal ram gets to about 100MB or less. I never had this issue with gingerbread because I used the auto kill feature in the phones preloaded task manager. Now, ICS does not have a auto task killer and my ram is running extremely low and causeing the phone to lag, especially when going from app to app and returning to the home screen.
2. My audio has been spotty. It works one second then when you load a app that has audio it won't work. If you close the app and load it again then the audio works fine. I have gone into the system recovery and wiped the cache partion on the phone. I also use Cache Cleaner + and have reset the phone and still get the same issues as above. If the suggestions don't work then I call verizon and tell them thank you for screwing up my phone. Worked perfectly fine before with GB.
Are there any changes to or improvements in the hardware to avoid the high-pitched whine that plagued the Bionic?

I was on a plane a few weeks ago, put my headphones in and couldn't figure out why I had no sound... turns out all my neighbors heard it cause it was coming out of the speaker... Then when I got back to the US last week, I put it in my car dock and it doesn't send audio to the cable and plays only thru the speaker as well.
