Motorola Razr :: How To Add SMTP Wireless Setting
Mar 4, 2012I've happily purchased a Motorola RAZR XT910 and have setup my POP email account, which sends and receives happily when on 3G (connected to optus).
At work and home I have wireless access which allows me to browse and to receive emails. But I have errors when trying to send when connected wirelessly.
Problem is when trying to send emails when connected via wireless. Quite correctly it has smtp errors as the smtp setting is for the 3g carrier (mail.optusnet.com.au). So question is "How do you configure the Motorola RAZR XT910 Droid to allow a secondary SMTP setting when in an allowed and configured wireless zone?"
I should not have to turn off my wireless and should not have to manually change the smtp setting each time I want to send from inside the wireless connection.
I tried setting up a second account with just the smtp being different [URL] but was unable to setup the account as it said the account was already setup. Of course the iPhone does allow multiple SMTP addresses.

Motorola Motoactv :: Can't Connect Wireless Headphones
May 23, 2012I alternate between wireless (bluetooth) and wired headphones. Today when I tried to connect my wireless headphones, a pop-up message appeared telling me to first disconnect my wired headphones. The problem is that I had no wired headphones connected. I tried connecting/removing the wired headphones, rebooting, etc., but I am still unable to connect the wireless headphones.
As a FYI, this started to occur at the same time I received a message telling me to connect my device to receive an update, but when I connect to my computer I get a message that I am up to date.
Motorola Motoactv :: Possible To Have Multiple Intervals In One Stage?
Oct 29, 2012I am trying to set up interval training based on my custom heart rate zones. For example, 2 minutes in zone 1, 2 minutes in zone 2, 1 minute in zone 3 (all repeated 12 times). However, when I choose single intervals, I do not get the interval training tab. I do get the interval training tab for interval sets, but the second interval options in the set are limited. Is it possible to have multiple intervals in one stage (3 in this case)? If so, how do I go about doing this?

Mar 18, 2012I have recorded short work outs by mistake several times. I then reset the device and carry out my workout as usual. Unfortunately the motoactv then syncs with my wifi and uploads both workouts.I know that I can delete workouts by hovering over the workout in the bar charts view however this is not the case if you've got a short workout recorded on the same day (as in the above situation). In fact I don't see the dud workout in the bar chart view but when I switch to the table view there it is. Annoyingly I can't delete the workout from within the table view.
Also, are there any known issues of only occasional syncing with a wifi network once it's been set up? Sometimes I return from a run and the workout syncs straight away. Sometimes the workout never syncs and I have to plug in the cable in order to do this. Tonight I actually lost a workout as it didn't sync and then disappeared off the device!

Mar 14, 2012I have seen people having several problems with sync'ing. My problem is probably a variation of the basic underlying problem.I got my Motoactv a couple of days ago. I did a workout, and then tried to sync it wirelessly. I tried several times, but each time it gave me a network error. So then I connected the device to the computer via USB and the sync was successful.The next day, I did a couple of workouts. This time both the wireless and USB syncs failed numerous times. After reading several other posts, I did a factory reset.I then did a workout, and tried the wireless sync, and that failed. I didn't try the USB sync at that time. I went to bed, and when I got up this morning, Motoacdtv said that the sync was successful. So sometime during the night, the wireless sync occurred. I then did another workout today, and then did a USB sync which was successful. Another workout, and then the wireless sync (without intervention) worked.

I then went to set up wizard/email set up but there is only the option to: - 'I want to use a work email account....' but nothing to set up a personal email address. I logged onto [URL] to try and register for an account, however I continually get the message 'Cannot create account This Blackberry device is not registered with your wireless service provider...' even though I received a message saying I was registered. I contacted Vodafone who confirmed that Blackberry Internet Service is set up on my monthly contract, they checked the PIN and IMEI number, but nothing worked?

Aug 7, 2012I've owned the MotoActv for two month, I got the mysterious "moisture issues" that everyone seems to be getting even though I've never used it in the rain. But the thing that is driving me nuts is the music. When I hit random shuffle of all my songs, I hear songs I don't want to hear... song that I do not own on my computer. Where are these songs coming from? Today I heard "Boot Scoot Boogie!" I abhore country music as does my wife. Doing a computer wide search shows no evidence that the song exists on my computer. Yet there it is playing in mile four. Other mystery songs have showed up too. The performance music playlist seems to be filled with songs I never heard of, yet evidently I perform well to them.

Mar 20, 2012I just picked up a MiFi 4G device and I carry it at all times. However since it has a cap on data per month I want it to be secondary to several other unlimited WiFi networks such as my office WiFi, home WiFi, free WiFi hotspots, etc. Is there any work around to make the MiFi wireless (or any permanent wireless network) 2nd to all other recognized networks? This is the ideal set-up for my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 WiFi. I don't want to have to turn the MiFi on and off constantly, I want it on in the background as a seamless secondary option. I appreciate any insight and find it odd that you cannot prioritize networks. Meaning if I "forgot this network" and start over will the 1st joined or most recent joined become primary when there are multiple networks available?

BB Curve 8300 :: Multiple Problems On Multiple New 8330
Jan 19, 2010In september I bought an 8330 curve. It worked great, and other than a few small things (not comfirming bbm contacts) it worked awesome, solid, never unstable. The screen started to have bubbles on the inside of it, so I took it in on warranty, and was given a new one AFTER I was sent home to make a backup. I get the new phone, came directly home and reloaded the backup. The next day, it started randomly rebooting. Even if it was just sitting there.
Sunday it shut off and when it tried to restart it just went to JVM error 102. If you reset it or did a hard reset it would always go to JVM error 102 when it tried to boot. I was out of town, and use my phone for work, so I was tickled pink, since its supposedly brand new.
Monday night they give me a new one AGAIN because nobody at the store can seem to fix it or figure it out. I go home, reload my data, wich is now a week old, and within a few hours it randomly starts rebooting agian. Then it wouldnt start, just flash the red LED, wich it did regardless of how many times I tried a hard restart. Eventualy this morning after 8 hours of flashing the red LED, I did a hard restart and it work.
I don't download apps. I use the phone, text, email, and I email pictures to my boss. Its the main reason i have a BB, so I dont get killed on MMS message charges, I just have unlimited email and I send the pics on email. The odd time I browse. And I don't do any of the things ppl talk about on crackberry where they are farting around doing things they arent supposed to and thier phone crashes. Any idea why my "new" curves keep doing this? 3rd one in 5 months, and 2 of them in the last week.
Apps? The ones that come on the phone from the factory. I live in terror that any thing else will brick my curve. I even talk nice to it.

IPhone :: Multiple Contacts With Multiple Phone Numbers?
May 11, 2012I have contact list with records for a lot of people (300+), each with several phone numbers each, home, mobile & work, etc, .I can't seem to find a way to have the iPhone announce the name & number or name & type (home,mobile,work) of the caller from the contact list, my old cell phone could do that easily.
At the moment what I've been doing as a work around for a few (important) people is to create a custom ringtone for that caller & that phone number. Since it also seems there's no way to attach a different ringtones to each number in a single contact record I've had to create multiple contact records for each person, each with a different name/number combination such as "John Doe Work", "John Doe Home" or John Doe Mobile" then assign to it the custom ringtone I created for that name/number.
I need to this so that if I receive a call while I'm driving (or whatever) that I can't answer right then for some reason (often happens), the ringtone I created for that name & number helpfully lets me know who & where their calling from. It's very important to know where someone is calling from, if someone's calling from home then I know I've got some time, but if their calling from work then I need to get back to them quickly.
having to make multiple contacts & ringtones for a every person with multiple numbers is a extraordinary waste of time. My old cell phone could do this with no problem but there doesn't seem to be any way to do this with my new iphone.

I can sign into mymotocast.com just fine, but cannot sign into motoactv.com. It gives me the message "Invalid credentials. Please try again."

Sep 9, 2011Perplexing problem I am having. My co-worker can get our hidden wireless signal in our room but I can't. I can see an open AP but can't see the one I want. It is WPA encrypted with the SSID xmit turned off. That shouldnt make any difference, especially since the other guy added the AP to his Droid with no issues at all. Is there a wireless card test to see if my wireless is working fine? I should also mention that I have to manually create the AP in my wireless list. When I am in the direct vicinity of this AP, it shows up in the list as WPA protected - Not in Range.
I have downloaded the WiFi Analyzer app and it does not show the AP I created, but does show an open one in the area...ot sure what is going on here. I can connect to my WPA wireless at home...Update: I just checked to see if my home wireless network will connect to the Droid yet and it does not. The 2 similarities between work and home are that both are B&G wireless units with both xmitting both B & G signals. I am able to pick up the wireless from the city water tower which is encrypted so I am not sure what exactly is going on. DOes anyone know if version 2.2 of android doesnt like a B/G router with both signals on?
