Motorola Motoactv :: Its Not Syncing At All?
Jan 10, 2012MotoCAST is really starting to be a problem. I cannot sync wirelessly at home (yesterday's question). Now I cannot sync at work via USB. I get a "Fitness Sync: Timeout" message. Is there an issue with MotoCAST or the website or is the issue with my MOTOACTV device.I've had this thing a week and I'm seriously considering returning it.

Nov 14, 2011Anyone having issues syncing their device with the website. I went for a run yesterday, shows up on the device says it is synced and it is still not available on the website. This is very frustrating. I attempted wireless and wired sync and both say they have completed successfully. The weird thing is when you go to the music tab it actually uploaded correctly with songs/distance but the run doesnt exist.

Dec 6, 2011When can we expect more maps for the rest of the world? E.g. Asia? Australia/NZ?On Motocast USB, I only see a way to sync entire iTunes playlists to the device. How can I select individual songs? And what if I don't use iTunes to manage my music? There's a post titled "How do I load music on my MOTOACTV", which states that there should be an "(NO NAME)" drive on my desktop when the device is connected, and I'm supposed to be able to just drop songs into its "Music" folder, but there is no such device appearing on my desktop/finder. I only see a device called MOTOACTV, but I don't see an obvious "Music" folder there.

Mar 9, 2012I've just synched my device with a second install of itunes having just bought some new tracks on the laptop. I now have duplicates of all the tracks that were on there previously. Both itunes are authorized against the same apple ID and have the same track list/playlists excepting the recently purchased tracks.
I was unable to find an option in motocast to clear music off the device and with multiple versions of each track on there I suspect the performance/fit track algorithms are going to be diluted in effectiveness so I've performed a factory reset.
Motorola Motoactv :: Planned Workouts Not Syncing To Device?
Feb 9, 2012This used to work, so not sure if something changed, but a few days ago I added a bunch of running workouts to the calendar on the Planning tab at Motoactv.com and after syncing the device several times, still no workouts show when I go to Running->Outdoor->Planned. This screen shows "No Planned Workouts Available. Plan your workouts on MOTOACTV.com" These are non-interval workouts that were added.

Feb 26, 2012After using the coached interval feature a couple of times, I have noticed a problem. Once my other workouts are synced, the table in the heart rate zones tab shows the total number of minutes spent in each individual heart rate zone. This is not happening with the programmed interval workouts. I know my zones are being recorded because of the feedback I get during the workout and the color coded graph portion seems to be accurate. The table on my recent 25 minute interval workout reads 1:55 in Z2, 2:32 in Z3, 0:36 in Z4, and 0:00 in both Z1 and Z5. Clearly these durations do not add up.

Mar 2, 2012Whenever I try to sync my playlists onto my MotoACTV from Itunes only half of the songs make it. I received a message stating that "662 files are protected" so they did copy over. How do I unprotect those songs? I have looked in Itunes and cannot find out how.

Aug 7, 2012I've owned the MotoActv for two month, I got the mysterious "moisture issues" that everyone seems to be getting even though I've never used it in the rain. But the thing that is driving me nuts is the music. When I hit random shuffle of all my songs, I hear songs I don't want to hear... song that I do not own on my computer. Where are these songs coming from? Today I heard "Boot Scoot Boogie!" I abhore country music as does my wife. Doing a computer wide search shows no evidence that the song exists on my computer. Yet there it is playing in mile four. Other mystery songs have showed up too. The performance music playlist seems to be filled with songs I never heard of, yet evidently I perform well to them.

Perhaps it's a problem with my unit, but if I wear the MA as a watch, no Bluetooth, no music etc. I have it timed out at 15 secs (makes a boring watch) and the brightness guite low... it never lasts the whole day before I have to recharge it. Seems a bit pointless having a "watch" that runs out of power before the day is through.If you use the MA simply as a watch (ignoring the silly steps counter which can't be turned off!) how long do you get?

Oct 17, 2012The unit worked normally for my workout yesterday. This morning I tried to turn it on for my workout, and nothing happens. I plugged it into the computer to see if I had inadvertently killed the battery. The white charging light comes on, but the display doesn't show the battery percentage graphic, and nothing happens when I push the power button. The Motorola charger is at home, so I can't try that until after work.

Motorola Motoactv :: Can't Log Into Android App
Jun 1, 2012After having a ton of syncing problems that never got resolved I now get "Please wait, syncronization in progress..." screen for a long period of time. It will eventually time out.
I have tried uninstall, reinstall, and even a factory reset erasing everything. Nothing works. I have had this issue with the last couple versions of the MOTOACTV app but I am currently on 2.0.52. I emailed support a logcat a while back but never heard anything from it. I love the MOTOACTV, but without the app.
Oh and I am using a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus with Android 4.0.4.

Jun 12, 2012So before this last update I think my wifi was always on. When I got back from a run by the time I could get to my laptop the data was already synced. After this update it seems the wifi is off and when I click on wifi settings it says "enabling wifi". How do I turn this off or on so either it always connect to my wifi when in range or stays off until i tell it?
