Just got my motoactv, and want to do the PC setup but when I plug it in it doesn't seem to be recognized at all by the PC. Is there anything I can do to get it to connect?
I've tried 2 different pc's and get the same thing on both..
Just purchased a MotoActv and installed latest MotoCast software (v1.2.9) on three computers. One is XP-Home SP3, another is W7-HomePremium 32bit, another is W7-HomePremium 64bit.I am having the same issue with all three computers. The MotoCast software installs all four steps without errors. But right clicking MotoCast icon/Wireless settings shows only "Content, General, Account, Network" tabs. I suspect this is because MotoCast is not recognizing my MotoActv device. My MotoActv device does not show up in Windows Explorer, so I can not install any software from it, or load content into it.When I connect the MotoActv device, all of my computers do recognize the USB connection, and Device Manager shows "Mot Composite ADB Interface", "Motorola USB Networking Driver", and "USB Composite Device" as working properly. My MotoCast web account works fine, and loads(indexes) my computer content fine. But without connection to my MotoActv device, it is almost useless for me. I also can not sign into MotoActv.com (it keeps telling me "Invalid credentials, please try again.") I suspect this is because the MotoActv device is not connected/recognized by MotoCast.
My issue is that the red headset that came with the MOTOACTV unit doesn't get recognized. When I try to play music with them plugged in, it just doesn't do anything (play button doesn't turn to pause), and if I try to use the FM radio, it tells me that I need to insert a headset. I have tried to rotate the plug around, to pull it out slightly, or to push it in and make sure that it is 100% snug. None of the above actions have changed the result.
I tried using the MOTOACTV with another pair of headphones that I had, and had no issues playing music or the radio through them. So the unit seemed okay.
This lead me to believe that the headphones were defective, but when I plug them into both my ipad and also droid RAZR directly, not only do they work as headphones, but the microphone seems to work as well. So that kind of rules out the headphones too.
I've owned the MotoActv for two month, I got the mysterious "moisture issues" that everyone seems to be getting even though I've never used it in the rain. But the thing that is driving me nuts is the music. When I hit random shuffle of all my songs, I hear songs I don't want to hear... song that I do not own on my computer. Where are these songs coming from? Today I heard "Boot Scoot Boogie!" I abhore country music as does my wife. Doing a computer wide search shows no evidence that the song exists on my computer. Yet there it is playing in mile four. Other mystery songs have showed up too. The performance music playlist seems to be filled with songs I never heard of, yet evidently I perform well to them.
Let the developers know what new innovations you would like to see in Motoactive. Let them know what Apps, websites, hardware features that are out there that you love and would like to see incorporated into Motoactv.
I follow all the steps to make my iPhone recognized on iTunes. But it is not recognized on Windows 7. It don't appears on My Computer, and it does not ask for install driver when I plug it in.
My Droid4 many times will not recognize my cardock and enter Vehicle Mode. it also seems that when working fine upon a "charge complete" that it will drop the dock requiring me to remove and re-insert the phone.
Is anyone else having issues with the phone not seeting the cardock?
I have transferred a ton of music onto a SD card however the phone is only recognizing a tiny fraction of it. Does anyone know of any reason that the Triumph isn't seeing the songs?I installed Winamp, but it must be drawing the songs the same way since it's listing the exact same songs. If I browse the files using a program like Adao File Manager, it sees them fine.
If this is a repeat, I apologize, but I searched the forums and couldn't find this problem specifically for the Razr. For the first time today, I connected my phone via USB to my Win 7 64 bit laptop, and kept getting the error message that the USB device was not recognized. When I clicked for more detail, I was helpfully told to replace my unrecognized device (sometimes you just GOTTA love Microsoft). The cable I'm using isn't the one that came in the box (which is very short), but I did buy it directly from Verizon. I plan to try the one that came in the box this weekend, but, in the meantime, does anyone have any ideas about what might be wrong?
We have two stock 32GB WiFi/LTE Xooms. We both started receiving SIM card error dialog boxes when we try to access the internet. The box states that the SIM card is unauthorized and recommends that we contact our wireless provider's customer service for assistance. This started happening after we accepted the new build number (HLK75F).
Why is it that the SD card on my Atrix is often not seen, and is there anything that can be done about it? Here are some examples of things that have not seemed to work with and/or recognize my SD card:
1. When my phone is hooked up to my car stereo via USB, the stereo finds audio files on the phones internal storage only, not on the SD card. 2. I have the app "Widgetsoid" which has a toggle switch to mount/dismount the SD card. Instead the widget mounts/dismounts my phone's internal storage. 3. I was using DoubleTwist for a while, but it was hit or miss as far as it seeing my SD card. Sometimes it would find my internal memory, other times it would find my SD card. 4. I had a BT system installed in my car temporarily, and it could only find audio files on the internal storage, not on the SD card.
The SD card seems to function fine with respect to file management when using my laptop and USB or Wifi. The music I have on the SD card functions fine with the stock music player and with ProAmp.
I have a droid x and my imac won't recognize it. No icons either on the desktop or in the itunes folders. I have used doubletwist with it before, but as of last night, no recognition. The sd card says it is mounted, but once again, no recognition.
I'm having a problem that others seem to have had in various forms...The problem: After successfully installing the Motocast software, I go into my MyMotocast account, and it tells me I have not installed the software. The same thing happens when I try to access Motocast through my Droid Razr.I spent the better part of two hours on the phone with Motorola Level 1 and Level 2 Support. In the end, the Level 2 Support Tech acknowledged that I had done everything correctly, but he could not solve the problem. Very frustrating....During the troubleshooting process, we uninstalled and reinstalled the software on my machine a couple of times, both from the phone via USB and directly from the web site. The software has since updated to version 1.1.58, but with not positive effect.
I purchased a Motorola Triumph from the virgin mobile promotion the other day and it arrived this morning. Unfortunately, I'm enrolled in a contract with tmobile that'll last another year before I can switch over so I'l have to wait before switching over to virgin mobile's plan. So the plan is to use my prior phone for 'phone stuff' and the triumph as a temporary ipod touch. So I spent a few hours experimenting with the wi-fi and it worked fine. But it was when I plugged it into my laptop with the usb provided, that problems started to arise
Originally my Atrix would be recognized by my pc as a flash or CD drive and would automatically install drivers but I think I may have removed the files that allow this. If I manualy install drivers I downloaded from Motorola it will work fine...
I didn't mean that your reply is toward me. I just show you an example that customers here know how to help each other, even when someone like me made a mistake, drlmiles can kindly stop me.
So, we customers know how to control the environment. We all have same goal to have a good mobile experience around Motorola.com as you wished.
This has been frustrating me for the past 3 hours. I just opened my MotoActv today. I plugged it into my computer, installed Motocast, and set up my Motocast ID. I can sign into mymotocast.com just fine, but cannot sign into motoactv.com. It gives me the message "Invalid credentials. Please try again."
Recently when I plugged my Bionic into the USB port to download some photos, I received a device not recognized popup. From day one I have been able to plug this in, and Windows 7 would automatically assign a drive letter and I had access to my SD card. I have downloaded the Motorola Device Manager. From what I can tell, it should appear in the system tray. It does not. I have uninstalled, then reinstalled this program to no avail. Opening the case to remove the SD card to stick it into the card reader on my computer is a major pain.
After last update to Android 2.3.4 HD dock not fully recognised:
1Problem Phone not charged once i connect your phone , only if i FIRST connect it directly to charger and after diconnect and connect to dock
2Problem After connecting to dock i have only 2 menus :entertainment center and another one, but no webtop application in phone screen and in entertainment ceneter on TV screen
Gorilla Gadgets informed me that Motorola installed software into their phones to not recognize any battery not approved or sold be them. Motorola refuses to answer my questions regarding this. Does anyone know how to remove this software or how to get the Droid X to recognixe an extended life battery not made by motorola.
I just got the droid turbo yesterday. I am trying to download my pics from my old phone with a Transcend RDP9 card reader but it is not being recognized. Nothing happens when I plug it in. The light on the reader comes on but nothing on the phone.
On my Razr M most of my music was Windows Media format on an sd card and Google Play Music played it with no problems. Well today I put my music on my Turbo but now Google Play won't even recognize any music that's not mp3. Why did it play fine on the old phone? And is there any way to get it to play on the Turbo or do I have to reformat all my music or get another music player?
Everytime i try to access the openwave browser, it says security error, key not recognized. how can i fix this? Boost tech support was no help. i have no problem browsing with bolt or opera just the built in openwave browser.
I see that people say they use the MA as a watch. Perhaps it's a problem with my unit, but if I wear the MA as a watch, no Bluetooth, no music etc. I have it timed out at 15 secs (makes a boring watch) and the brightness guite low... it never lasts the whole day before I have to recharge it. Seems a bit pointless having a "watch" that runs out of power before the day is through. If you use the MA simply as a watch (ignoring the silly steps counter which can't be turned off!) how long do you get?
