Mar 15, 2012I do not seem to be able to logon to the training portal - it keeps trying to search for a logon file. Anyone else haveing these issues?

Dec 31, 2011Under Planning > Routing, the description mentions "hit 'Search routes' and see where other members of the MOTOACTV community in your area like to go". I cannot see the Search Routes option, and using the search box under the My Routes tab does not bring back any results, even my own routes I have saved.

Apr 15, 2012I just got this last week in the hopes of replacing my ageing Garmins (Edge 705 for the bike and Forerunner 405 for runs) and have just put in 2 short rides over the weekend. I manage a couple of online training sites (don't ask me why) including the awesome Sportracks and these typically can either import .CSV or .TCX files.So I got the CSV exported from the MotoACTV website and basically imported it wholesale into Sportracks. Also I used an online tool to convert the CSV to TCX where I upload to Garminconnect and Strava (online). What I observed is that the speed shows 'spikes and dips' I guess overall the average speed will be the same over distance and I've checked this to be true but what with the 'spikes and dips'? This has basically sent the power estimation algorithm in Strava and Sportracks to overestimate the power due the the sudden deceleration 'dips' and sudden acceleration 'recovery from dips'. I don't see the same issue on the speed curve on the motoactv site itself.

Apr 20, 2012My MOTOACTV has been acting funky lately. It's done a couple of weird things (including appearing to "brick" last night before dying), but the most frustrating is that audio files that used to be playable on it are now listed by the device as unplayable.I specifically converted protected audio files in iTunes to unprotected MPEG files (using TuneClone) and made sure to use just these files when creating the playlists for my MOTOACTV. For several weeks (I've had the product for a little over 2 months), all was well. The songs played just fine, the playlists worked as expected, etc... Lately, though, not so much.
The songs in question are still listed in my "Songs" list as well as under their respective playlists, but rather than being black text, they are a medium gray. When tapping on these songs (and it appears to be about 30% of the songs), I get the following message:Unplayable FileThis file appears to be an unsupported type and cannot be played.I was wondering whether the file(s) might have been corrupted somehow, so I completely unsynced all of my playlists, (theorhetically) deleting all music from the device. MotoCast USB reported all files being removed from the device. Then, I resynced all files, but the problem remains.Then, I thought that perhaps the ORIGINAL files were corrupted, so I tested the files on the device through Finder, and found that they played just fine in iTunes.
Another issue that is perplexing me is the fact that I have FAR more songs listed in my "Songs" list than should be present on the device. Currently, I've synced just 2 playlists, with a total of 46 songs, though there is a good bit of crossover, so I should have something like 30 songs on my device. I have many, many more than this liste

Dec 15, 2012Using the stock File Manager app I can see audio files on my Maxx HD's internal storage and also on the SD card. I happen to be looking at ringtone files. If I tap on the filename to play the ringtone, Amazon Cloudplayer pops up and shows all the music files on my SD card. No ringtones can be found. If I back out of Amazon Cloudplayer and use the file manager to try finding and playing ANY audio file on EITHER my SD card or the internal storage I get sent to Amazon Cloudplayer. I then have to use the back button to get back to the file manager icon in the App drawer. Same thing happens if I try to play audio files on my SD card. Amazon Cloud Player pops up. I don't want to use Amazon Cloud Player to play an audio file in SD storage.
If I connect my phone to my PC and navigate to the ringtones on internal storage and click on them they play as per usual (Windows media player). If I use my PC to play audio files on the SD card they play as usual.Why does my phone default to Amazon Cloud Player when I tap on an audio file in File Manager? What is the stock audio file player on the Maxx HD? Why can't I browse to an audio file with the file manager and tap on it and have it play? How do I fix this?
Motorola Motoactv :: Motoactv Playing Unknown Songs
Aug 7, 2012I've owned the MotoActv for two month, I got the mysterious "moisture issues" that everyone seems to be getting even though I've never used it in the rain. But the thing that is driving me nuts is the music. When I hit random shuffle of all my songs, I hear songs I don't want to hear... song that I do not own on my computer. Where are these songs coming from? Today I heard "Boot Scoot Boogie!" I abhore country music as does my wife. Doing a computer wide search shows no evidence that the song exists on my computer. Yet there it is playing in mile four. Other mystery songs have showed up too. The performance music playlist seems to be filled with songs I never heard of, yet evidently I perform well to them.

Mar 11, 2012Why can't I search my contacts by company, like BB? Is this in the next update? I have 4000 corporate sync contacts and I can't always remember who I need from a particular company. Improper handling of Outlook 2010 contacts is a deal killer. Some of the contacts in my phone are a complete mess. There is random historical addresses and numbers that don't appear in outlook anymore but are evidently stored somewhere for the phone to access. The DC contact duplicate entry is annoying but it works. I have been putting this phone through it's paces for about 2 weeks and I am satisfied otherwise.

Apr 28, 2011My search app (the one you get to by pressing the search button while on the home screen) would often freeze for 5-15 seconds after I had typed a few letters. This is fixed by disabling apps as something it searches for. Open the search app, press the menu button, select search settings, then searchable items, and uncheck the box next to Apps. Whatever causes apps to take forever to load when looking in the Apps section of the phone's settings also causes them to take an unreasonable time to load in Google's search app.
