Contact loads bit slow, when i type any name in contact search it is taking more than 10 seconds to list the name.i have sycned my contacts from gmail, but duplicate (multiple times) contacts are generated under Motorola Services Contact.whenever i listen radio it gets switch off automatically.

I have 6 and a half pages of apps) and go to the second page of apps and hit the "Search" button at the bottom right hand side of your Atrix 2, it will result in a Force Close of the (process com.motorola.home). I have restarted my phone multiple time and have also taken out the battery. I have 3.7GB of free space on my Internal storage.

View 5 Replies View RelatedFor the last few days, I've had a hard time waking up my Atrix. I push the power button and it doesn't react. I push it a few more times, and eventually it wakes up and works normally. My first thought was that the power/wake button was becoming defective, but I can press it many times in a row and it will sleep, wake, sleep wake, etc. No problems.
Then today I noticed my phone was shut off completely after I returned home from being out.
I booted it back up and the battery was showing 50%, so it clearly wasn't a low battery shutdown. I have apps that can monitor the system, and I've not found any that are using a lot of CPU or battery, so I'm not sure what the issue could be.
Is there any sort of a log I can look at, to try to determine the cause of the phone shutting off?
Seems like ever since I updated to GB, every morning when I wake up and grab my phone and swipe the fingerprint reader, it doesn't respond at all for the first 5, 6, or 7 swipes, or about 10 seconds.Then it will suddenly respond and unlock my phone. Just wanted to find out if anyone else is having a similar problem before I call tech support, and if you were able to fix it somehow.

Why can't I search my contacts by company, like BB? Is this in the next update? I have 4000 corporate sync contacts and I can't always remember who I need from a particular company. Improper handling of Outlook 2010 contacts is a deal killer. Some of the contacts in my phone are a complete mess. There is random historical addresses and numbers that don't appear in outlook anymore but are evidently stored somewhere for the phone to access. The DC contact duplicate entry is annoying but it works. I have been putting this phone through it's paces for about 2 weeks and I am satisfied otherwise.

How can this be? A business centric phone can't search contacts by organization/business name! View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having a strange issue which I have not found on any forums.Up until yesterday I had a Droid X, which was working fine until the speaker had an issue. So, I did a factory reset. First one ever since going to Gingerbread. Since then, if I use the hard button to search for contacts the results always send me to the same contact.For example: Lets say I have contacts John Smith, Larry Jones, and Susan Doe.Search for Doe, shows me Susan Doe's name, click on her name...and John Smith opens up.Search for Jones, shows me Larry Jones' name, click on his name...and John Smith opens up.No pattern as to why it's John Smith. Not first in the contact list or anything. And, if I delete John Smith, then another contact becomes the 'go-to' contact. Again, no pattern as to why.
So, why is this in the Droid X2 forum? Because I didn't worry too much about this issue since I was getting a new phone, a Droid X2. Got the new phone, set it up...and the same issue is in this one. I did not import any contacts directly from the one phone to the other using VZW or Gmail. All contacts are loaded via DejaOffice/Companionlink. Very frustrating, since the hard button was how I would bring up my contacts.
Using Voice Search on my RAZR MAXX, using it for the automatic commands, I'm getting odd results. Here's a specific example...
speaking ... "Call Mom mobile" - This comes up w/ the display that's about to call a number, but it has the wrong number. The screenshot has the number blocked out and I aded "Wrong Number" on top of it, but so people could see what stage I'm at.This also occurs using the autocomplete when sending a text message. I type in "mom" and the WRONG contact shows up in the drop down below (wrong name, wrong number). *** It is important to note here that the WRONG contact that shows up in this case MATCHES the wrong contact that shows up w/ Voice Search.This used to work just fine, I've used it for months. But it's recently stopped working.
So, using "People" (which is listed as "Contacts" in manage apps?! - so, under Apps, only "People" is listed, no "Contacts" ... under manage apps, no "People" entry is listed, only "Contacts") on my phone - entry for "Mom" is NOT present. But, an entry using her first / last is there. The number is present, the wrong number is not.Getting online to check my contacts directly with google - there IS an entry for "Mom", with the correct number, the wrong number is not there. If I do a search for the wrong number, it takes me to the correct contact (not Mom), if I search for Mom's number, it pulls up the correct contact (Mom).
Right now I have multipule contacts on my atrix that are "linked." Is there anyway to permanently consolidate all the linked contacts into one and export all my contacts as a csv file for outlook and gmail?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm going to Europe soon and wanted to use my N97 OVI Maps as a navigation aid, so I've been testing it today in offline mode as data charges abroad are horrendous. My problem is that when trying to search for POI's i.e. Cash Machines, Restaurants, Train Stations etc. the offline search takes a very, very long time (perhaps over 5 minutes), if it completes at all. The phone locks up before it eventually shows me the results and then after 10-15 mins of waiting, I have to remove the battery to restart the phone for it to become usable again.

2. I would like to be alble to search all my emails that are in inbox so I selected downloda emails: all(my translation may be not accurate) is sync settings. That coused the phone to download all my emails from my google account that is approx. 10000 messages. Now the search function in mail app is super slow (like 30 seconds to display anything). I changed the sync options to sync only emails from last month but it didnt change anything.

I am trying to find out how I can go about hiding those factory installed contacts (like the AT&T ones). I've attempted to delete them, but it says unable to delete read only contacts/files, but that they can be hidden. I've looked under options/edit, and don't see a hide option/setting.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSomething happened to my contact database yesterday and now whenever I access any contacts, look at texts, etc. my phone is very slow to either start the SMS program (the force close/wait dialog continually comes up) or the contact takes a while for the data to appear.Is there a way to erase all the contacts out of the database and resync them all? If so, will erasing the contacts also erase call history, etc? If it does is there a way to not lose this information?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an ATRIX 4G upgraded to Gingerbread. Today, out of the blue, all my contacts suddenly got deleted. I syned my contacts with my gmail account but all the contacts with phone numbers are gone. I only have email ids. I did not have a SD card till some days back so I am assuming my contacts were stored on the phone's internal memory/SIM card. I tried to import contacts from my SIM card but it did not have any contacts stored.
Is there any way I can recover those contacts? I tried changing the display setting in contacts but to no avail. I hope someone can help. I had some important numbers in the list which will be difficult to reaquire.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am facing a very frustrating problem. Sometimes when I create/edit a contact and hit save, then search for that contact in my contacts I can't find it!! Or sometimes I can find it but with all the contact information deleted.I am using Verizon Backup assitant to manage my contacts. I wonder if anyone else have the same problem. That problem is not only frustrating, but also embarassing, especially when you are entering a new friend's contact while showing off your phone

It synced with my new phone and made lots of multiple entries, etc. what a mess! Now I'm reading that I can synch a number of other ways including using Windows Mobile Device Center to sync with my Outlook contacts. Now how do I stop Motoblur from synching/updating contacts and clear the phone contacts so I can sync another way?

It used to last over a day easily. Then today got a text saying that i have almost reached my 2gb data limit. View 4 Replies View RelatedI've just got myself a new Atrix on Orange UK and when setting up the email/calendar/contacts via the corporate sync app I found that contact were not making it through.
I administer the mail server so I watched the logs and the server does try to push the contacts, but they never appear on the Atrix.
I then googled a bit and came across this forum, and I came across a thread over in the Droid area back in aug 2010 that they had exactly the same issue. There were rather weak work arounds, including buying Touchdown, but that then doesn't play nicely with the motoblur widgets.
The notice of the new update 4.5.141 said to back up contacts before installing.
I have searched for a way to back up contacts to the computer but all I've found is how to back them up to an SD card.
(I understand that if they are in google contacts, I'm safe, and my phone has that, but the other Atrix in our home has many of the contacts saved as a Motorola contact.) That Atrix also does not have an SD card!
I had to do a master reset, but before I did, I exported all contacts to my SD card. However, when I try to import them, it shows that there are only three on there and they don't export. I plugged the phone in and looked on the computer, still nothing.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo i download an update for about 4 hours, it crashes at least twice in the process, and then when everything is finally working, I notice my contacts are completely gone. The ones that sync from facebook are fine, but I don't care about those. Lots of them are gone though. I have no idea what they were saved in before. What account... etc. This happened last time i updated the system, but i had my old phone so i just went to at&t and had them add them all. i didn't think it would happen again, but IT DID!
