Motorola Motoactv :: Portal Error - Incorrect Latest Workout Info
Feb 26, 2012
I was checking the portal today and noticed that the schedule section at the top of the page displays incorrect workout info - see screenshot attached.
I am sure that I have not exercised today (it is Sunday, duh) ... yet the schedule shows that I had an exercise today (see red dot on the schedule). So I checked the device and verified that there was no exercise today on the device. And when I clicked to check details on the portal, I saw last week's exercise data.
Back in January there was an issue with portal - sometime workouts were not shown on summary bar.Today I noticed that the issue has re-appeared - please see screenshot below. On Sunday I had 3 workouts (elliptical, outside walk and weight) - the main chart on the page has three items in stacked column view, but summary bar at the top shows only two.
Unless I am missing something, I think the homepage of the MA Portal should show a summary of all of your workouts (split by workout type). So it should show a summary of total miles and calories for bikes rides, total miles and calories for runs, etc.ight now it just shows the summary of your last workout. Is there even a way to get this summary information? When I go to the Workouts tab and go to Recent Workouts, it looks like you can only see 3-4 weeks at a time.
I noticed today an error on the portal when viewing Intervals. I was follwing a Carmichael run and so I tap the screen to start my first interval after I have warmend up.The portal is correctly showing my 4 High, and 4 Low intervals, and the duration is correct. What isn't correct is when I click on the first interval, it's starting from the time I started the run. Not from the time the interval started. Therefore, when viewing the graph info for that intevarl, it's looking at the wrong section of the graph.Basically, the portal needs to know what time into your workout the first interval started and use that as the offset for displaying the interval data on the graph.
I did a Bike "workout" 6 weeks ago and after syncing, it had the route information on the MotoActv App. However, my latest two workouts show "Route Information Is Not Available for this Workout". I'm pretty sure I can see the routes on the website, but it's not loading any of my workouts at the moment. It would also be awesome if you could sync the golf "workouts" and show them on the MotoActv App as well; I imagine that has been in the works though.
I'm trying to enter a simple ladder (0,8km speed + 3min jog + 1 km speed + 3km jog + 1,2 km speed + 3 min jog, going down to 0.8). Simple enough, 5 activities, each an interval workout, one set, High based on distance, low based on time.
When using the metric menu to change visible metrics on the "latest workout" tab, I am constantly fighting the list disappearing on me.I'll elaborate. I am on the "latest workout" tab. I want to view my heart rate, so I click on the second metric. I move the mouse pointer to the right to select Heart Rate. Before I can click on it, it's gone.I've figured out that if I move my mouse pointer directly to the right, instead of down or diagonal and to the right, the list will stay up. However, I find it's more natural for me to not move directly to the righ
My devise is ocurring the error during multi-stage workout. The error is: The application NotifierApp (process com.motorola.g2) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
Wow, what a disappointing first experience. First, have huge issues connecting to Wifi network for the first time. Then, go for a 6 mile run and sync. I go to https://motoactv.com/workout/show and get an engineering-guy-wrote-the-nonuserfriendly-copy popover that says "Workout does not contain any raw data".Then, I come here to ask a question and I'm asked to fill out 5 separate, non-sequential forms before I get to access the Post Question link. Someone on your Support Forum UI team REALLY needs to sit down and look at these steps and try to unify them in one flow. Quite possibly the most ridiculous support form sign up process I've seen of any OEM, ever.
Matt or other Motorola moderator - Can we get a status on the portal? I can get logged in...sometimes and I was able to upload this morning's run...but I can't consistently get to the details at this point. I know it is being worked on, and I understand how that goes - I work in IT myself. All I am asking for is a status and an ETA for full functionality.
Bu I really can't find where to sign UP to use the Motoactv.com Training Portal. At the top of motoactv.com it only says Sign IN..Got my MotoActv today and really, I have seen all the videos, seen all the how-to-do's and I basically know everything there is to know about the MotoActv and I am just OVEREXCITED that I got it today (along with 7 of the featured things such as the Wireless HD Headphones, bikemount, wristband, HR..))
I've been trying to access support from Motorola about my device's inability to connect to the internet and create a Motocast ID. It is now not even giving me error messages, and Motocast isn't starting up anymore when I plug it into my computer. I don't have wi-fi as that would involve having to buy a TV and various other unneeded things to get a wi-fi package, so I use a dongle for my internet. I am really unhappy about the service from Motorola and the fact that they've released a great idea before it's actually ready to be used.
I already tried several times to change my time zone, my height and set the metric system as default. But every time I go back to the portal, it's back to the default from the site! Is it just me?
I synced up my run wirelessly and on the watch it says it successfully completed. I sign on to the website, and I notice the new splash screen (portal update?) and my run is not on it. I can't even view the runs at all. Anytime I click on past runs, it just has those new screens telling me all the cool things portal can do.
Is this because of the updating? I'm on 1.7.3 N8, and new motocast software too.
I like my MOTOACTV, just want some type of clarity on problems. I'd rather see a "site down for a scheduled maintenance" than not being able to do anything on the site.
I got the new update on my motoactv. However I also understand that the portal was updated with a new cometition tab. For some reason I dont have that tab. is it possible that the portal was not updated for everyone?
Has anyone investigated/reverse engineered what protocol the watch uses to communicate home, e.g. is a HTTP connection used, is it encrypted/protected with certificates, etc. If it was straight plaintext, we could at least have a backup solution if Motorola stops supporting the device and drops the portal... Must say I'm getting nervous about lack of Motorola feedback
I would like to know if someone is having the same problem, my workouts from middle of Nov backwards is not showing in the portal. A week ago everything was there in the portal. So the problem is not the sync.
Just completed a run this morning and went to see the data. The route map does not appear at all. I went back to previous workouts and the maps are all not appearing.
Yesterday (4/10), I did a two mile walk, plus a few other short walks. When I got home, I went to the workout screen, and selected "sync workouts". When I looked at the motoactv later, it stated "sync complete!". The problem is: None of the workouts show up on the web portal for yesterday. I don't see a way to re-sync them on the device either. These were just simple "quick start" walks. I'm not doing anything complicated.
I saw there is another post about missing workouts, but it seems to relate to interval training, and I didn't immediately see a solution for my specific issue.
Since the update I have not been able to login to my MotoACTV account. I tried to reset my password, but when I click the button nothing happens. I have tried doing this in Chrome, Safari and IE just in case.
I already purchased the product and any accessories that that I deem necessary.Seeing the ad for accessories so prominently on the main portal page is at best tacky, and at worst insulting.Create a link at the bottom of the page for "MotoACTV Store" or something, but don't waste such useful screen real estate on trying to push more stuff on us.
The elevation data/graph does not show on the portal. It seems that the Y axis is showing the elevation in KM. This is obviously not an appropriate scale...
These images show that the summary just above the graph doesn't match the information shown or the map. This happens with every multi-activity workout.
