View 13 RepliesI just did a run and, looking at it on the portal, the map location displayed when inspecting a particular section of the run is incorrect.
Motoactv is at 1.7.2 N16, normal sampling rate.
The pause in the run at 10min30 should be at the intersection of kerney and filbert which is the highest point of the run. The map displays it at Filbert and Medau Pl
The elevation data/graph does not show on the portal. It seems that the Y axis is showing the elevation in KM. This is obviously not an appropriate scale...
View 1 Replies View Relatedis anyone else unable to view their elevation data since moving to the new MA portal? I am experiencing this issue even when viewing older workout data.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI ran the same route uphill and downhill in the same time. In both cases, I got the same number of burned calories.I am very disappointed that MotoACTV has this poor level of calculations/algorithms for such an expensive device.BTW, the built-in GPS shows elevation changes, so it is possible to include slope/elevation in calories calculation.
View 13 Replies View RelatedMy MotoActv shows the correct elevation on the unit during a workout but when that information is sync'd the elevation is corrupted and shows about 10,000' too high. And, the "elevation" metric does not show up on the chart even though I've selected it. Speed, distance, calories burned, etc. all show up - but not elevation. On my last workout the maximum elevation shows 15,123' and the low elevation shows 13,382'.I live in Moab, Utah at an elevation of about 4,600'. I did about 600' of climbing on the workout. We don't even have any peaks around here that are over 15,000
View 3 Replies View Related In my training plan for the marathon, I usually have one long run per week, between 24 and 32 Km.
Although all my other (short) runs export correctly to csv file in the portal, for importing into SportTracks or Runkeeper (via a link provided buy an user), when my run is > 25 Km the imported file does not convert well - although the route is okay, there is no useable data regarding speed/pace..
I've tried logging in with Chrome and I.E. and get an internal error with a stack trace I've included.

View 6 Replies View RelatedAfter several weeks of very consistent mileage tracks with my MotoActv (8g model), today my mileage was off by .15 for each of the three miles i ran. My run today occurred up in Winter Park (elevation of 8,600 ft) and the temperature outside was 20 degrees. I have the following settings: Marathon mode, ant + for HR, screen timeout enabled and i have the latest update. Does temperature have an impact? Not sure why but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedToday is my rest day. However, when I sat down to organize my training schedule for the coming week, the schedule was showing a weight training workout completed today. It appears that last Sunday's workout is displaying as completed today. This kind of thing was happening shortly after the big software update in March. This is not the only problem I am currently having and I am bouncing around multiple threads at this time. I reiterate, I am happy with the new features included in the recent update, but I am not so happy with the basic functions that seem to have gone awry in its wake.
View 8 Replies View Relatedhow to Delete a incorrect weight value from MotoActv.com, 2) Lock in default metrics (i.e. MPH + Heart Rate as opposed to Pace & always show "non-active days"), 3) Identify how many "real world" laps I've performed in a specific run (aka passing the same point in a 0.65 mile circle around the block), 4) Is there a way to log a "heart rate only" workout (i.e. if I lift weight, play tennis, go boxing, use a row machine or any other non-standard workout ... ideally I'd like to be able to name said workouts as well but, 5) Is there a way to quickly see what song is currently playing on a run (technically I can always go to MotoActv.com after a run to see what songs I didn't like / skipped past and will ultimately remove from my playlist. but it's always nice to see what's playing at that time
View 9 Replies View RelatedFor the past couple of weeks, I have had some problems with the HR display. The device will show my HR shifting rapidly from up to 209 BPM down to 0BPM and occasionally to no reading at all. This usually happens at the beginning of a workout and goes to normal after several minutes. I keep my chest strap very clean so I know that it isn't dirt and sweat disrupting transmission. When it first started I assumed that it was a sign of a dying battery but changing it didn't make a difference. This only happens during running and aerobic activities. With weight training and yoga there doesn't seem to be a problem.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm regularly seeing the incorrect time displayed when I wake the device to check the time. I completely understand not rendering an updated clock when the screen is disabled, but this needs to occur instantly when the display is awakened. Currently the lag can be around 10/15 seconds (I've not measured precisely, but I can wake the screen by shaking at least 3 times and let it blank again before an update).
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was checking the portal today and noticed that the schedule section at the top of the page displays incorrect workout info - see screenshot attached.
I am sure that I have not exercised today (it is Sunday, duh) ... yet the schedule shows that I had an exercise today (see red dot on the schedule). So I checked the device and verified that there was no exercise today on the device. And when I clicked to check details on the portal, I saw last week's exercise data.
Am I missing something here? Should the MotoACTV bike speed/cadence sensor be tracking power/watts itself of is there another accessory that I need to get? It's recording all other info without difficulty. I've only used it about 3 times but always get a 0/0 when it comes to the power/watts reading.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've experienced my TN765 shutting itself down because of lower battery power, even when it's plugged in via USB to a car charger.I realise that the battery will only charge if the device is turned off, that is fine, but it seems that it loses battery power even if it's powered. It's a very slow loss of charge, but on a long trip it can lose it all and shut down unexpectedly. And it isn't the charger working loose because the 'external power' icon is always displayed. It's a Motorola cigarette lighter plug charger. Is that normal and does it do this with the official mount or just on the USB?
View 8 Replies View RelatedSo I went camping this weekend, and every picture I took is distorted when I'm lookin at them. Even some of my older photos are now being distorted. When using quick pic or the stock gallery, the picture looks great as a small thumbnail, but when i open the picture, a grey bar runs across the picture and the picture will be grey from the head up or the waist down. It's not the whole picture, just half of it. Was thinking about going to Verizon to show them, but I hate waiting in line for an hour only to have them say there's nothing they can do. BTW..no water on/in phone and camera lens looks in tact.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI've owned the MotoActv for two month, I got the mysterious "moisture issues" that everyone seems to be getting even though I've never used it in the rain. But the thing that is driving me nuts is the music. When I hit random shuffle of all my songs, I hear songs I don't want to hear... song that I do not own on my computer. Where are these songs coming from? Today I heard "Boot Scoot Boogie!" I abhore country music as does my wife. Doing a computer wide search shows no evidence that the song exists on my computer. Yet there it is playing in mile four. Other mystery songs have showed up too. The performance music playlist seems to be filled with songs I never heard of, yet evidently I perform well to them.

Has anyone else had this happen, and is there a way to prevent it from occurring? Finally, I am very...let's say obsessive lol...about album art in my mp3 tags, so I am certain that they are all correct; however, album art does not show up in Motocast (either via web or on my phone) for some albums (after allowing adequate time to sync) even though the art is included in the mp3 tags and shows up when I play the mp3's in Media Player and MediaMonkey. Immediately upon installation received a low storage message even thougth I had 29.97 MB available on my Droid 1. I have run with no problems at this memory amount before. But more importantly, I am unable to receive any text messages. Text messages are "rejected due to full message memory'. I do not have any text messages on my phone. Have deleted all of them before installing MotoSpeak.
This appears to be a problem with MotoSpeak and not my Moto Droid 1. Has anyone been able to get MotoSpeak to work successfully with their phones?
My phones serial # is listed incorrectly under my profile. I have tried to correct it several times but every time I do and save it, when I log back onto the forum it keeps putting a 7 at the end of my number.
View 3 Replies View RelatedTHE STRING "fastboot oem get_unlock_data" DOES NOT RETURN ANY DEVICE ID. WHY?The bootloader on Motorola devices released before August 2012 is not unlockable. This fastboot command will not return a device ID or unlock data for these Motorola devices. At this point, only the devices on our Supported Devices list are eligible for the unlockable bootloader program.HOW DO I TELL IF MY DEVICE HAS AN UNLOCKABLE/RE-LOCKABLE BOOTLOADER?This depends on a few factors. First is whether the device ships with a bootloader that is capable of being unlocked or re-locked. Second is whether the wireless carrier that sells the device allows the bootloader to be unlocked, as each of our operator partners has their own policy. As new devices are released, please check the bootloader introduction page. You will be able to check whether your device shipped with an unlockable bootloader. We will be adding devices to this list regularly. As of August 2012, the only Motorola devices which can be unlocked are:
Photon Q 4G LTE (Sprint)
RAZR Developer Edition (Europe Only)
XOOM
Now above what I have bolded are my areas of concern. In particular, the second quote:First is whether the device ships with a bootloader that is capable of being unlocked or re-locked.The Motorola Atrix HD has indeed shipped with a bootloader that is capable of being unlocked or re-locked. It supports the exact same commands as the Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE does, the commands of:
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot oem get_unlock_data
fastboot oem lock
This device fits that exact definition. Running a strings.exe runthrough of the bootloader from the Atrix HD shows that it indeed supports these commands, and anyone with this device and the android-sdk can run these commands themselves. The part where the unlocking process is stuck is the Motorola "Unlock My Device" webkit, where the results of "fastboot oem get_unlock_data" were pasted into the box to get the emailed UNIQUE_KEY to put into "fastboot oem unlock [ unlock code ] " as the same process is the Photon Q 4G LTE. The site comes up with this error:As you can see, we can assume the second half of the "few factors" as the faq pointed out:Second is whether the wireless carrier that sells the device allows the bootloader to be unlocked, as each of our operator partners has their own policy.Assuming this, it is then AT&T's decision that the Motorola Atrix HD has a locked bootloader, but the device DOES support unlocking and re-locking, contrary to the first quote in this post from their faq about devices before August 2012 NOT supporting these functions. The bootloader on Motorola devices released before August 2012 is not unlockable. So my question is, will this information be able to get corrected, or is Motorola planning to make an announcement that the Motorola Atrix HD will not be unlocked because of AT&T, but that the hardware and software actually support unlocking and re-locking?
In the past week, my D4 has been putting incorrect time stamps on incoming text messages when using certain non-stock text messaging apps. All received texts (regardless of sender) are stamped 4 hours earlier than when they were actually sent. Makes threaded messaging a real pain.
Stock text message app is fine, as is Handcent. The problem seems to be isolated to GO SMS Pro (my preferred SMS app) and ICS Messaging (stock ICS-like). I have uninstalled both and reinstalled with no change.
I have my Yahoo e-mail account tied into the universal inbox. Certain received messages show up with no subject and with the timestamp as 0 UTC (1/1/1970) but adjusted for timezone. The problem e-mails look perfectly fine when viewed on a computer. The same problem was reported some time ago in thisthread:https://supportforums.motorola.com/message/100304Incidentally enough, all the e-mail notifcations generated when there is a response to a thread I've created (in this forum) show the same behavior, so it should be easy enough for Motorola to duplicate (hint hint).
