Motorola Motoactv :: Creating A Customized Workout On It
Jun 13, 2012Have you noticed that sometimes when you log into [URL] and try to create a customized workout that you are given different options? Sometimes I'm allowed to create and label an interval segment as a "warmup" and sometimes I can't. Sometimes I can create a single interval segment and sometimes I can only create interval segments in "sets". I'm wondering if Motorola is making updates to the site based on this new functionality? Also, I would like to request to be able to repeat more than 2 intervals at a time. I have many cardio clients that I will have them perform a set of 3-5 different intervals and then repeat. I don't believe I can create a workout on [URL] that will allow me to do that, can I?

I created a new subdirectory - (I used "local" but I dont thing the name matters"3. Using a playlist created in the Itunes subdirectory as a template, I created a playlist (which is just plain ascii text) and put the list in my "local" subdirectory. The name of the playlist file is what will be used as a playlist name. I called mine - "libtest.pls". May 2, 2012Can I select a specific playlist to play when I select the autoplay music when I start a workout? When I went into the music screen and set the playlist that way, I couldn't get any coach feedback, but when I set the auto-play function it played all the music, not just the playlist I wanted.

Feb 10, 2012I've only had my MOTOACTV for a few weeks, and its been slowly developing my fitness music playlist. I thought this was a really cool concept when I got the device. Now the issue is, I have a lot of music on my device that I just like to listen to on a regular basis, but not so much during a workout. When I was working out and those songs that kill my buzz play I skip them, but even with a second of playtime, it logged the music with my average heart rate and activity during the song... which then placed the song into my fitness playlist.

Sep 27, 2011My cliq was a 2.0. something and i wanted to upgrade to the 2.1 (Eclair). But you can't upgrade to the 2.1 from the 2.0. So i downgraded to the 1.5 and now when i turn on the phone and it says create new account or use existing account. I choose existing and when i type in my motoblur id and password it keeps saying error creating account.

Jun 18, 2012I currently have a Motorola Admiral synced with our work's Microsoft Exchange server. In our Outlook email account we have certain emails redirected into subfolders in our incoming email. For example we have an inbox and under the inbox is a subfolder where all 'delivery ticket' emails are redirected into. On the Admirals there is an icon alert and also an audio alert every time there is an incoming message in our email account. However the only time we get the subfolder emails is by going into the email folder, clicking on the inbox then the subfolder and letting it refresh that way. I looked through EVERYWHERE trying to see if I could set it to automatically refresh. Also is there a reason I don't get any type of alert when an emails comes into that subfolder? I even tried adding a shortcut directly onto one of the main screens only for this subfolder but I can't do it. I can only add a shortcut for the main inbox.

Jun 15, 2011I created email accounts that use POP3 to receiv and SMTP to send and find I can receive mail but my sent emails get an authentication error. I originally thought they were not being sent at all but then I decided to let them remain in the out folder. After 6 hours they were finally sent. Some take 1 1/2 hours. So it seems that to send email out with a SMTP (roadrunner account) it can take from 1 1/2 hours to 6 hours. The gmail accounts work just fine, but I don't use gmail except for people I am not sure of and do not want their emails in my roadrunner account. Yes, I have my POP3 and SMTP set up correctly. If I didn't I wouldn't be able to send or receive at all. I have removed them and put them back, turned my phone off and let it rest and turned it back on many times.
I have talked to Motorola and the person I talked to yesterday has referred the problem to a tech person further up the ladder. I have read about other problems of this kind on sites on the web when I googled a question about it, but I am not always trusting of the unknown sites. This is a Motorola help site so I am hoping the information here will be more accurate and trustworthy.
FYI, I just read something from a site that said to use gmail as the outgoing smtp. Well, I switched the smtp for one of the roadrunner accounts to use .gmail.com as the smtp. It seems to have the same problem.

Aug 7, 2012I've owned the MotoActv for two month, I got the mysterious "moisture issues" that everyone seems to be getting even though I've never used it in the rain. But the thing that is driving me nuts is the music. When I hit random shuffle of all my songs, I hear songs I don't want to hear... song that I do not own on my computer. Where are these songs coming from? Today I heard "Boot Scoot Boogie!" I abhore country music as does my wife. Doing a computer wide search shows no evidence that the song exists on my computer. Yet there it is playing in mile four. Other mystery songs have showed up too. The performance music playlist seems to be filled with songs I never heard of, yet evidently I perform well to them.

Aug 10, 2011Ok, after fooling with my phone and checking out all the cool new things it can do after the GB update, I have finally found a flaw, at least on my phone. In the past when listening to music, either with the car dock or headphones or hooked to my speakers at work, whenever I paused the stock music player, it would always keep the playlist current and I could pick up where I left off. Even if I just shuffled all songs. Now when I shuffle all and come back to it later or the next day, it either doesn't show any music as queued or will show the song, but when I hit play, it just takes me to the music player home screen. I also have winamp installed and it does not have a problem keeping my songs in the list. I like to use the stock music player because I can pause or FF a song without having to unlock the phone. Nifty feature being able to see the song playing and having those options on the lock screen. Why is my music player losing the song list? On a side note, winamp remembers what I was playing even after a reboot, but it does not show up on the lock screen.

Jul 16, 2011I was always using on other phones with Android 2.2 FroYo that 3G mobile hotspot feature, which was included right in the Android system under Wireless Networks settings.Now in Defy there is no option like that under settings in FroYo. Defy includes own app called 3G Mobile Hotspot, which should work like that option for creating mobile WiFi hotspots in other Android phones. But here is the problem.On my older phone with Android 2.2 I could create 3G WiFi hotspot wherever I needed and it worked. But now, with Defy, when I use that application 3G Mobile Hotspot, it writes me error when creating WiFi hotspot "Cannot set up data link, please contact your service provider" I suppose it is something with my carrier (Vodafone_CZ), but when I used 3G WiFi hotspots on older phones (which had that feature included right in Android settings menu) it worked without problems and I a used mobile phone for 3G internet sharing with my laptop.Now I remember, that I have deleted some DUN profile under APN Internet profiles, could it be that problem, that 3G Mobile Hotspot app is not working?how to create WiFi hotspot on my Defy for example with some other app?Or if not, how can I use Internet Tethering in Defy Mobile Networks menu via Bluetooth (my laptot has BT). I dont know, what should I set in my laptot to use Defy like BT 3G Internet provider and I dont know, if Internet Tetherig via BT is not charged at my carrier (I know, that the 3G WiFi hotspot feature was not extra charged..) so for that reason I would like to make it working on my Defy.

I can sign into mymotocast.com just fine, but cannot sign into motoactv.com. It gives me the message "Invalid credentials. Please try again."
