Motorola Droid X2 :: How To Change Email Notification Sound
Aug 2, 2011I'm a relatively new X2 and Android user (2 weeks). When I receive emails on my X2 they are accompanied by a certain sound. I'd like to change this sound, but when I go to Settings > Sound > Notification Ringtone, the sound that is checked under this option is the sound that I receive for text messages. Where would I change the ringtone for email?

Nov 4, 2011When I go to change wallpapers (using the stock ones, not the gallery or live) only the Stock X one shows up, when I scroll through the default ones it doesn't change to the one selected. The stock X one always displays in the preview, even if I scroll to another. If I select one other than the other and click "set" it won't show until I reboot the phone

Mar 13, 2012On my Droid Razr Maxx using Corporate Sync with the built-in email client attached to an Exchange 2010 server, when i receive an email that is digitally signed (but not encrypted) any and all attachments do not come with the email. (no paperclip symbol). I receive all other attachments fine when the email is not digitally signed.Using Verizon Wireless as carrier.if the signed email was sent to my Gmail account all attachments appear as normal.

Since it appears to have been a mistake Verizon has not put anything on their site. It is making it difficult for those of us that got it to know what we are supposed to have and exactly what may have been removed. It does not appear to be the same as what the M and HDs got.

Jul 26, 2012I have two minor issues with the car dock/ vehicle navigation app. 1. Can I turn off the autolaunch when the phone is placed in the vehicle dock? When I put the phone into the dock, the app immediately opens, and I don't want it to. If I already have Pandora or Navigation running , I want that app to stay up and running instead of the phone opening the car dock homescreen. 2. Can I have the home button go to the car dock home screen when the home button is pressed while the phone is in the dock? Currently,if my phone is in the car dock and I press the home button, it takes me to my regular home screen. To get to the vehicle home screen, I have to pull down the notification bar and select the notification. I am currently using GO Launcher, but I think the issue still occurs with the stock launcher.

It takes me 3-4 times as long to compose a text or e-mail because it is almost impossible to hit the right key or not hit two at the same time. there any way to get my old keyboard back? May 25, 2011When I got the Droid 2.2, last November, I read over the setup instructions and was able to personalize the greeting on the opening screen. Now that I have changed a few things in my life, I would like to revise the opening greeting. I'm talking about the greeting that is on the unlock screen when you power up the droid. I have read extensively the setup instructions, the forums and such and cannot find the option I used to set it up originally. I thought it was in "settings/display" but the only settings there now are Brightness, Autorotate Screen, Animation, Screen Timeout, Wallpaper Settings and Roaming Banner.
Did an update wipeout my ability to change this greeting?

Sep 12, 2011On my original Droid, I absolutely needed the option to disable ringtone notifications for email (Gmail).I want to do this for the Bionic, but I do not see any Ringtone setting anywhere in the Gmail app.. The closest I can find is this:Gmail -> Menu -> More -> Settings -> (my gmail address). Then there is a checkbox for Email notifications to enable/disable a notification to the Status Bar upon new email arrival. But this appears to be status bar icon notifications only, not a ringtone / sound.
