View 4 RepliesI bought the Droid Turbo at the end of November. I've used the camera some, but when I opened the photos in Photoshop, they're only 72 dpi and I'd like them to be 200 dpi.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI can't find an option to change the resolution to a smaller size on the camera. The only option is widescren or 4:3. What if I want to use less space on my SD card when taking pictures? Is this something we can expect to see in the next software update?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe camera resolution setting resets to Widescreen every once in a while. This didn't happen with 2.4.330.I had it set to 5MP yesterday, and today it's set to Widescreen again.

2. How do I set a custom folder for the pictures to be taken? I tried renaming the default foler 100ANDRO but when I take a photo it recreates that folder!
Where do I go to change the image quality for the camera on the htc one? I need to lower it and for the life of me I can't see where. Seems like a pretty basic feature, would be shocking if it didn't exist.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI want to set my iPhone 4s to take smaller pictures. Currently they are about 3 to 3.5 mega bytes each and take up too much room. This is un-necessary.
Can the next update to the OS allow us to set the camera to a lower resolution.

On my original Droid, I absolutely needed the option to disable ringtone notifications for email (Gmail).I want to do this for the Bionic, but I do not see any Ringtone setting anywhere in the Gmail app.. The closest I can find is this:Gmail -> Menu -> More -> Settings -> (my gmail address). Then there is a checkbox for Email notifications to enable/disable a notification to the Status Bar upon new email arrival. But this appears to be status bar icon notifications only, not a ringtone / sound.

View 8 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to change the black background that is loaded post-ICS update to white? I HATE IT! It's hard to read and shouldn't there be a way for users to change the background to a color they want?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI see that ICS will allow you to take photos while recording video simultaneously. Might there be a future update that would allow you to take photos after the video is finished recording? Just in case you forgot to hit the snapshot button while you are holding your breath to steady your shot.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had a perfectly functioning Bionic camera before ICS.During the ICS update (which was supposed to take 10 minutes!) the phone showed updating media database for over an hour and I did a battery pull to restart the phone since I needed it later that night. After a few reboots I could play music and see my camera gallery.Since ICS the camera app will stop working -- the screen goes dark but the camera won't load. It happens to FXCamera app and it happens if I call the camera via online banking to take a picture of a check. I can always access the gallery of pictures. If I clear the 8KB of data and the cache in the camera app and reboot I can then use the camera again. If I do a "fast reboot" or just clear data is still won't open. Only if data and cache are cleared then phone is rebooted. The camera will work fine, but hours or days later it will fail to open.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am liking my Bionic less each day... the BSODs and Data Connectivity are getting worse. But I digress...Finally got around to trying the camera on my Bionic. Wow. An intolerably long shutter lag. So long that I have yet to be able to take a descent picture of any living thing. No living thing will remain still long enough for the camera to actually take a picture. Every picture has a blurred object.
View 12 Replies View Relatedwell, i was using the bionic's camera today, switching from front to back to take pics, and saw all these crazy red colored lines on the screen. it froze up the phone and got stuck that way a couple times and caused the phone to reboot.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI talked to Verizon they sent me 2 refurb phones that both did it. We got Motorola on the call and they wanted to ship my phone back for repair but I'd have no phone so that wasn't an option. The local manager at the corp. store near me let me get a brand new one. He had never heard of it but it took us 3 brand new phones before we got one that didn't rattle. Even the floor model rattled as well.Yes I know the phone works and camera.
View 9 Replies View Relatedpoor quality of the pictures and video that come off the Bionic? This came up in a review at PhoneScoop.com as well. I have comparred the photos and videos taken off of the Bionic to my wife's HTC Rezound and the Rezound pictures are far superior? The Bionic produces pictures with very little contrast and performs badly in low light conditions. The Bionic also produces a white haze around the borders of pictures in some photos. See photo below. I am wondering if this is a defective camera or a problem on all bionics?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI know from what I read on the forums that the camera and video have some issues. I wish I would have read this before getting rid of my revolution but I needed actual use of my phone and not constant rebooting and a nice camera. This is something I noticed last night when recording a clip of our new puppies. While recording at default setting the screen would keep flickering black approx every minute or so. I thought maybe it was due to a low battery and never thought that is was actually being transferred into the video itself. When I played the video back on my computer though, I noticed that it was recording that way and it was not just a simple timeout of the screen as I once thought.
I tried the next day with both camera and video on a FULL battery and got the same results. It seems like this may be linked to the autofocus problem/bug I have been reading about. I checked and cleaned the lens too just to make sure that nothing was causing the cam to focus in and out all the time.Wondering if anyone else is having these problems or is it just me. If so has anyone found a correction or app that can fix these issues while waiting for an / if any / for motorola. The cam and video can take decent photos if the subject is sitting still with no problem, however try taking a baby or puppy running around and no luck at all.Any internal settings that anyone has found that can control the auto focus time or an app that can change it?
Ok yet ANOTHER problem with the BIONIC and moto software.
The camera is not writing all the EFIX data to the pictures. Most importantly Date Taken. The stock google app did this!!! Everyday I find something that annoys me more and more about this phone.
So I haven't had any trouble until now with my boinic. I took pictures saturday and I just tried to take one and this is what I got. "Camera is unable to initialize". I have pulled the battery and cleared the data on the camera app and still nothing. I really dont feel like starting over with it but I can if I have to later.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI 've downloaded PurpleVRS to my new Driod Bionic and it worked okay. I've tried to call VP (video phone for the deaf) to my friend. It's worked.Purple VRS is relay service for the deaf. Then next couple days, one of my hearing kids told to downloaded Tango Video app and it worked okay.So I can talk to my hearing kids using the Tango Video. BUT the problem is that I noticed when I tried Purple VRS calls, I can see vrs person but she or he can't see me at all. I noticed that my face camera is not shown on the Droid Bionic.
I've decided to remove the Tango Video app and tried again with PurpleVRS still same problem. Is there an option to tell Droid Bionic to settle the face video camera mode to turn on whenever using the Purple VRS?I've tried with PurpleVRS Support and they forward my problem to Mirial company ( appl software company). He doesn't know how long will they response. That's why I came here to see if you know where the video mode turn on/off.
I took one picture with the phone and a day later the phones front and rear facing camera are not working. i called motorola and did a battery pull as well as factory reset and still not working.my next step is to go back to verizon wireless and see what they can do. did anyone have this problem?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I switch the Bionic's camera scene to "Steady Shot" the screen gets extremely dark, to the point where it is basically unusable indoors. The photos are also extremely dark unless the flash is used, even in reasonable lighting. It seems to me that Steady Shot would imply some form of faster camera shutter or stabilization or something? So I guess I'm wondering if other people have the same issue with the Steady Shot scene, and if so what is this camera mode supposed to be used for?

View 10 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know of any surefire way to transfer files to and from the Bionic to a windows 7 PC?
I have been using Zumocast, but that's only a one way deal. You can stream and download files from PC onto the Bionic, but not vice versa. Also, I tried to download a 1.4 gig mp4 file but it doesn't fully download, and makes my notification area on my Bionic force close and the whole phone just wigs out and requires a reboot. So Zumocast needs to do some updates in order to support large file transfer.
Anyway, I am looking for a way to transfer files from my phone to my computer(s) wirelessly. I don't always have my USB cable around.
Im having the same issue as a lot of other people (so i read). Mine has progressively gotten worse. My data connection shows active (sometimes it doesnt) but I cannot transfer data. After multiple restarts/battery pulls, i have data connection but NO app will transfer data except the web browser and dolphin. Even Gmail will not sync. So i can surf the web, but cant check my gmail app, pageonce, etc, etc. Wifi/bluetooth work fine. MOST of the time I can still text / make calls but not always.
I am hesitant to do a factory reset as the last time i did this, it did not change the problem and i was stuck with nothing because i had no data connection to connect to my google account with (nor wifi, i was on vacation).
I can get a 4G signal rarely in home. At work and mobile I am usually 4G.I expect to be on 4G for a few years (5G anytime soon?) and was thinking of spending $$$ on a Wilson repeater to pick up 4G with a directional antenna and amplifier for home: url...I am a licensed Amateur Radio operator and the principals involved seemed sound to me.Also, does anyone know how to put the Bionic into Field Test Mode?
View 5 Replies View RelatedHas anyone had a lot of luck with Zumocast on the Bionic playing differenct CODECS? I seems to work awesome but has some CODEC limitations, is there any way to use another video player other then the default Android one (which it appears to be utilizing)?
View 8 Replies View RelatedAny one have any luck getting the FIOS Remote app working on their Bionic? I got it downloaded and followed all the directions but it wouldn't sync up. Home net is a std Verizon issued router (only thing custom is the net name, channel, and crypto key) and the Bionic is able to get on the wifi no problem.
