Are others experiencing clipping of the first couple of words of each Navigation turn direction when sending the audio to a bluetooth headset? I don't experience this problem when using the DX's speaker.

View 2 Replies View Relatedsince I updated the software I have the following issue. when I use maps I select the destination and then switch off the phone's display (lock key) and use spoken directions only. saves massively on batery power. but now after each direction it unlocks the phone (switches the display back on). previous version worked just fine. as a result on longer journeys it has become useless for me.
please let it keep switched off again. or make it optional. or a system option to not let any application unlock the phone.
I purchased a new Droid X2 around 2 weeks ago and I have found a couple of very annoying audio issues. At the begining and ending of any audio operations there is a very noticable and annoying "pop" sound. It doesnt matter what kind of operation you are doing and it is very noticable. I have added a few recordings of the pop for anyone who is interested. Also I have noticed even when there is no audio operation going on there is a noticable electronic multi pitched hum/squeel which seems to match the workload of the phone at that time. I have done a factor reset, swapped speakers, cords, etc but the problem persists.

2) after the latest OS update, some aps disappear from the home screens. I reset them to the home screen but they keep being deleted.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhenever I try to use voice input for navigation I receive the message "unfortunatelky maps has stopped. This only started after the Jelly Bean update. I have done an FDR and cache wipe. I have disabled and reenabled maps. Nothing helps. After several days with Jelly Bean I am becoming more and more convinced that ICS was a better OS. I am tired of every time we get an update that something breaks or is removed and yet more and more bloat is forced upon us.

When you select Contacts in Navigation you get "You don't have any contacts with addresses". This was all over the threads, you would think this would have been fixed with this update. Grrr...

I used to send myself an email with an address and could just touch the address on the screen and directions / navigation would pop up, now that doesn't seem to work anymore for me. The other two times it has happened the buttons return within a few seconds. I'm hoping this is software related. Will try to grab screen shot next time it happens.

However, when I select the Google Maps button, it brings up a web based Google Map application instead of the DroidX's Map application as described in the instructions I've read.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI am very interested in the DroidX, but the virtual keyboard does not have any means to move the cursor- so if you mis-type a character, you have to either perfectly position your finger & delete the wrong letter & re-type, or delete the whole word & re-type. Why is there seemingly no way to move the cursor position on the DroidX keyboard & is there any software that does implement this?Also, will the Droid X be able to upgrade to AndroidOS v3?

Some music or other audio files are quiet, so I have to turn up my radio to hear it well. This causes a problem when I'm using navigation at the same time, because when it tells me to turn it's super loud. View 4 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone has started decreasing the volume of songs right at the beginning of the song. Within the first second or two of the song, the volume will decrease. Not completely muted, but enough so that you have to turn up the volume on the phone or the speakers if you want to maintain your regular listening volume. It's not every song, so when I encounter a song that gets slightly muted, and I increase the volume to compensate, the next song might come blaring out at regular volume. I have noticed this in my car via bluetooth, in my headphones, through the phone speakers, and through the external speakers I connect to (iHome alarm clock, etc). I have had the phone for about a year and the issue just started in the last few weeks. I have not been able to establish any kind of pattern (i.e. certain artists or albums or purchase methods) for the songs that get decreased.

Every app I am in, whenever I get an interruption like the alarm going on, when i turn it off, the app refreshes and goes back to the beginning. So if I am using the browser to post something over the internet and the alarm turns on, when i turn it off, my page will refresh and i will loose everything i wrote.
It is the same when using the menu. If i go to a specific tab, and then to a sub-tab, whenever i press the back button, i return to the beginnig of the menu, to the quick settings tab.
Another example, if im using any app, i get a message from whatsapp, if i read it and go to whatsapp to reply, when i get back to the app, it refreshes and goes back to the beginning It's really bugging and i don't think it is normal.

I got my new X6 on Thursday and so far Im more or less happy, I'm just getting a bit frustrated with the texting as quite often I can be in the middle of a text when the cursor just takes me back to the beginning of the message and I can't stop it or even worse it just starts deleting my message letter by letter?
View 17 Replies View RelatedSince the last update (August 2015), whenever I type some letters letters (one, sometimes 2) from the beginning of the word disappear before I can finish typing the word. This causes autocomplete to think I'm typing a completely different word.
E.g., I tried to type "think" - the "t" disappeared by the time I had gotten to the "i"(despite it initially appearing initially), making the phone think that the word is starting with "h", and leading to issues when I press space (despite typing think perfectly, the phone autocorrected to the nearest matching word starting with H as "h" was now the beginning letter)
This has only been an issue since updating my phone this week. I thought it might have been the swipe function messing up, but turning that off, it's still causing me issues when I type normally.
