LG :: Have AX265 Banter From Alltel / Reprogram For Verizon?
May 29, 2010Is it is possible to use my old Alltel LG AX265 (Banter) phone on the Verizon network by doing some software hocus pocus. I'm not very cell phone savvy, but I can follow simple directions as well as any 11 year-old.The Justin Timberlake look-alike at the Verizon store said I'd need to get a new phone from Verizon, and proceeded to push the Motorola Droid into my face. I'm sure it's a great phone, but I just want my almost-teenager to be reachable. I'm pretty sure he's gonna lose the phone within the year, so I'm not inclined to spend much money.

Jun 3, 2010I have an LG AX265 on the Alltel network.What I am curious is to why my inbox is filling up at ~103 texts and not 300 as it says in the phone memory area.Another thing I was wondering is that when I type a text it max's out at like 160 some odd characters.Why wont it continue typing and send multiple texts at once?

It turns while a route search is made, but not otherwise. Its was a cool feature which was available in ovi maps 3.0. In 3D mode this was really cool. I wonder why nokia scrapped this useful feature. Jun 5, 2014If I add a calendar entry on iCloud or on my laptop (Win 7, Outlook 2010) the event shows up on all my devices (iPhone, iPad, laptop, and iCloud). However, if I enter an event on my iPhone 5 (iOS 6.1.4) calendar it will not show up anywhere else. My iCloud login is set up with my ID login on all my devices. Also, my iPhone is set to sync Calendars and under "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" my "Account" is correct, "Calendars" is switched "ON", and I have tried setting "Fetch New Data" to both Push and Pull. Still, whenever I enter an event on my iPhone Calendar it will not show up anywhere else.

May 2, 2010Generally on Sat Nav devices, they can be set up so that north is always up, or so that the direction of travel is up.I only seem to be able to set up Nokia Maps so that north is up. How do i get it to rotate the map as I travel so that my direction of travel is up? For info, I am using Nokia Maps on a 5800.

May 23, 2012since I updated the software I have the following issue. when I use maps I select the destination and then switch off the phone's display (lock key) and use spoken directions only. saves massively on batery power. but now after each direction it unlocks the phone (switches the display back on). previous version worked just fine. as a result on longer journeys it has become useless for me.
please let it keep switched off again. or make it optional. or a system option to not let any application unlock the phone.

The update was a success, however, now whenever he wants to type in his native Arabic it types from left to right not from right to left. The Arabic font shows correctly so it is supported but it seems there is this typing direction issue. Both of us live in Dubal and use Etisalat as our provider.

I am wanting to leave ATT for their poor service, and go with a compnay that has no contracts.
