Jul 13, 2015Have issues with the compass not pointing in the right direction using Google Maps and any compass app? I went to the AT&T store and tried the LG G4 here in NYC and it was off by 90deg. I tried using the iPhone 6 which was pointing correctly. I am a LG G2 owner and its been frustrating having a compass that doesn't work properly.

Jan 23, 2010I was very disappointed with the new version of ovi maps (with free voice guided navigation) due to the fact than the new version did not turn the map in the direction of travel. It turns while a route search is made, but not otherwise. Its was a cool feature which was available in ovi maps 3.0. In 3D mode this was really cool. I wonder why nokia scrapped this useful feature. Anyone had similar issues ?I own Nokia 5800XM, v40.0.005.

Jun 5, 2014If I add a calendar entry on iCloud or on my laptop (Win 7, Outlook 2010) the event shows up on all my devices (iPhone, iPad, laptop, and iCloud). However, if I enter an event on my iPhone 5 (iOS 6.1.4) calendar it will not show up anywhere else. My iCloud login is set up with my ID login on all my devices. Also, my iPhone is set to sync Calendars and under "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" my "Account" is correct, "Calendars" is switched "ON", and I have tried setting "Fetch New Data" to both Push and Pull. Still, whenever I enter an event on my iPhone Calendar it will not show up anywhere else.

May 2, 2010Generally on Sat Nav devices, they can be set up so that north is always up, or so that the direction of travel is up.I only seem to be able to set up Nokia Maps so that north is up. How do i get it to rotate the map as I travel so that my direction of travel is up? For info, I am using Nokia Maps on a 5800.

May 23, 2012since I updated the software I have the following issue. when I use maps I select the destination and then switch off the phone's display (lock key) and use spoken directions only. saves massively on batery power. but now after each direction it unlocks the phone (switches the display back on). previous version worked just fine. as a result on longer journeys it has become useless for me.
please let it keep switched off again. or make it optional. or a system option to not let any application unlock the phone.

The update was a success, however, now whenever he wants to type in his native Arabic it types from left to right not from right to left. The Arabic font shows correctly so it is supported but it seems there is this typing direction issue. Both of us live in Dubal and use Etisalat as our provider.

Feb 24, 2011I have bought a Nokia E71 from a friend and when trying to download something from the Ovi store it asks for my user name and password, but says my user name and password are wrong and won't connect. I am using the same ones I use to connect to Ovi on my computer and it accepts them OK. Could this be because the previous owner's user name and password have been stored somewhere on the phone and as a security measure it won't let me in with my user name and password?
Does anyone know what I can do to be able to log in to Ovi on my phone so that I can download an application? The one I want at the moment is Sports Tracker so that I can check how many miles I do when going for a walk. I could perhaps find it online and download straight from their website, but I do really need to be able to download things through Ovi if required.

Mar 30, 2011I've had my Curve 8330 since August 2009. The mouse ball stopped working when I move it in the down direction. It works fine going up, left or right, just not down. It did this a few months ago, then miraculously started working again. This time, it started working again for about 20 minutes, and stopped again. I have pulled out the battery and put it back in to do a complete reboot, but to no avail.
