Motorola Droid 4 :: Pairing With A Newer Kenwood Car Stereo?
Jul 15, 2012
I have a brand new Ken-wood Excelon DNX6990HD head-unit in my truck. The pairing with the Droid 4 was smooth and easy...until I try to use the phone the next time I'm in the truck. The phone features (placing/receiving calls via Bluetooth) are only available to me on that first pairing instance. After that the only thing I can do is use the Pandora streaming controls?(I'm posting this on a Kenwood forum too just to cover all the bases!)I'm also get some audio skipping through Bluetooth but I see that is another thread?
I just had installed a new Kenwood car stereo with built in Bluetooth. The BT is paired but the phonebook has not downloaded to the stereo. It has a list of calls in & out. How do I download the phonebook to the stereo or is the Droid 3 even capable of this?
My car's bluetooth (2011 Honda Odyssey) was working perfectly with my Droid X (which had "FroYo" 2.2 software). Due to problems with my phone, Verizon had me update to the newest software (2.3, called "Gingerbread"). I now cannot pair the Droid with the car. I have called Verizon and Motorola both, who both stated that the most likely culprit was the car. Honda states that it is compatible with "Gingerbread" on newer phones, but not certain if it is on the original Droid, and Motorola has not sent a sample for Honda to test for the original Droid. What do I do? Is there a fix available here? Should I ask Verizon or Motorola to put the previous version, 2.2 or "FroYo" back on my phone?
I was pushed the new upgrade for the Droid Bionic (4.0.4). With the old OS, I unable to pair a Mac Book Pro and an iPad withe the phone and connecto the internet via Bluetooh.
I have a stereo with no bluetooth, but would like to stream Pandora or other music from my phone to the stereo. Now, I use an aux. cable from the headphone jack to the aux on the stereo, but I hate having the cable running from the phone to the stereo. Anybody know of a bluetooth adapter that plugs into a stereo to do this?
I got the D3 yesterday and paired it with my preinstalled 07 MB GL bluetooth system. I can make calls fine, but the only data that transfers to the MB display is the phone numbers, no names or information. I have previously paired a Palm Pre, Droid X, iPhone 3G, HTC Thunderbolt(couldn't stand it, way too many problems/issues) and all of them paired fine and the data transferred showing name, place (work/cell/home) and the phone number in either numerical or alphabetical order.
Droid X was 2.2 (Froyo) - paired beautifully with my car's bluetooth - Address Book - display names and phone numbers perfectly. On Friday , August 5, 2011, I selected to upgrade to 2.3 (Gingerbread).Everything seemed perfect.New bells, new whistles.I received error message trying to text. I received unexplained promblems seeking access to the internet. I tried calling home and the error message surprised me. I was no longer active. I needed to contact Verizon to reactivate my phone. I asked why my phone was deactivated. I was assured my phone was not deactivated and was walked thru a "re-activation process". I have now done this twice in the past 5 days.My car's bluetooth has alos allowed me to viewed the phone address book by "name' of my telephone number, including the telephone number.First name, last name and telephone number. So, while driving, bluetooth enabled, select the name of the person I want to call, push the button and viola!... hands free calling via my car's bluetooth. Now that I have upgraded... No "name' is listed, only the telephone numbers. I met with my local Verizon sales support person. He was stumped. We deleted the pairing, reinstalled the pairing 3 times. Still no address book by "name"... Stumped.
I have noticed that my speaker volume is very low after I disconnect from my Bluetooth stereo. It has become a problem because I have missed my alarm the next morning because I don't hear it. I have narrowed it down to the Bluetooth being the issue but I don't know how to fix it. Do I not disconnect correctly?
I just got the Razr HD on Thursday when it became available and I love it so far. I connected my Sony Bluetooth stereo headset (url...). So, not the typical one ear peice just for answering calls. I got them because I listen to music on phone while at the gym and the wire from my old headset kept getting in the way. So, these worked great with the Droid X, never had a problem. I connected them to my Razr HD and the volume instantly goes the the max and cannot be turn down. I use the volume rocker and the volume stays at the max volume until I turn the volume all the way down at which point there is no sound. I can't find a bluetooth volume slider in the sound volume settings and the "Music, Video, Games, & other media" volume control isn't doing anything to adjust the volume for my headset. The headset does not have a volume control of its own and right now I can't use it becuase it is way too loud. I know there ways to be able to adjust the volume for each device independently on custom roms and rooted devices why can't these simple things be added to "stock" roms? Anyone know how to get the volumes to work without having to go to a custom ROM?
I tried to clear data and cache in Apps under Blue tooth share after I removed all bluetooth profiles but this did not work. I even went to verizon and got a new sim card. I also did a factory reset and still have problems.
I have an iPhone 4 pushing bluetooth to a Kenwood KDC-X994. The calls work fine but music only plays on the front speakers. I have checked all settings on the Kenwood and its all setup. If I plug the iPhone in via USB stereo no problem. So how do I get it to play in stereo over bluetooth?
I have an iPhone 4 and want to use it to hook up to an aftermarket Pioneer stereo via USB. I was wondering if anyone has already done this and if anyone has had any issues. I don't have the stereo yet because I am a little wary of incompatibility because I have heard that iOS 4 has some issues with car stereos. Let me know if you have done this or if you have gotten it to work.
My 2006 BMW X5 comes with a bluetooth handsfree feature. It used to pair and work with my iPhone very well. Now, I am off the iPhone and much happier with my Atrix. However, the bluetooth doesn't work too well. I can pair the phone with the car fine. However, the phone keeps constantly disconecting and connecting (like every minuto or so), which makes it unusable with the car's handsfree. I know it is not a problem with the car (it still pairs fine with the iPhone) nor with the phone (it pairs well with my bluetooth headset). It's just the combination that is bad. I've read somewhere else that BMW's are tricky and several android users are having trouble. It seems that android lacks a handsfree profile required by BMW. Anyway, is anyone having the same problem? Any ideas of what can be done? (I've already unpaired all phone from the car, repaired, removed the battery from my phone, etc, etc, etc).
My iphone 4s is not pairing with my new bluetooth headset. I turn on the bluetooth on phone- make sure all other devises are off - turn on the headset - it says it is pairing - but my phone only shows it is now discoverable - shows the headset name - but never makes the connection.
After updating to the new JB, my ATRIX will not stay paired with the bluetooth radio in my truck. Before JB, I had no problems.Anyone else have any pairing issues after the update?
When entering the six digits pass code displayed by SYNC, the keyboard on the phone suddenly quits after I enter only 2 to 5 digits. The phone displays a message that there was a problem with pairing this phone. Is some setting on the phone wrong or is the phone hardware having a problem.
I purchased a pair of S10-HD (allegedly) stereo headphones yesterday. I paired them with my iMac/OS10.6.8, but they only play in mono. My other bluetooth headphones from Creative play stereo just fine, so why does my S10-HD only play in mono?
Is anyone aware of any BLE(bluetooth low energy)/low power consumption stereo headsets? I am currently using a Jabra Clipper but I'm certain it does not support BLE. As after an hour and 40 minute indoor run with Moto's chest strapped HRM, display always on, backlight all the way down, sampling set to two seconds, my MA only has 50% battery remaining after starting fully charged.8GB running .78
I've got my Droid and my Xoom both loaded up with my music but sometimes I want to stream it to my stereo. know of something I can hook up to my receiver which can receive bluetooth audio?
I know this is an old phone, but I like it and plan to keep it a while longer. It works well; however, I just purchased a 2.5mm to 3.5mm stereo audio adapter for it.I can not get the adapter to work with standard stereo headphones. When I attach them there is no sound in the headphones and music is still playing from the phone's internal speaker. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong so any pointers would be helpful.
My Photon must be having Apple envy and has decided to refuse to cooperate. Unlocking can still be an occasional two minute ordeal with many whispered metaphorical condemnations of it's heritage and habits. However, my main complaint is the bluetooth audio stutter I hear on a stereo headset.
I have no problems pairing and listinening to audio on a set of bluetooth stereo headphones via my MacBookPro (or my friend's iPhone), but the Photon makes me want to kick something very hard and repeatedly. The audio stutter-pop every 1/3 second (approximatly) is beyond frustrating.
The only thing that reduces the stuttering is if I hold the phone within 3 inches (yes, 3"!) of the headset. Oddly, my mono canal-style headset has a range of about 36 feet. Both of the headsets are less than two months old, and I know that the stereo headset is up to version 3.x of the bluetooth spec. (the Photon is using bluetooth v. 2.1).
I have a replacement 860 that won't pair with my car phone. The other one did. This one won't ask for the PIN, and then says it can't pair because the PIN is incorrect. How typical is that. It's the same car phone, and the same model phone.
I've read the owners manual and followed the instructions. My wife and colleagues have done so, too (as they have the same headset). And, yes, we've tried re-setting the device as well. I've also called Motorola tech support -- and even got through to Level 2 Support. They couldn't figure it out either. The manual's instructions clearly do not match the functionality of the H730 hardware. How to stop the rather annoying voice prompts.
I was wondering if there is a newer version of software for the banter bc i looked at a friends banter and has a different version of sms. Which lets him have over 200 texts in his inbox. i was wondering if anyone knows where to get this firmware somehow. it would be really great!
I just added BBM onto my blackberry which i have had for a while. The format of the BBM is very different from the other format I have seen. How can I get the newer format for BBM?
i just got my iphone and i want to get apps but they all day i need version 4.0? I went to itunes and to updates and it said I have the newest version?
