I have a replacement 860 that won't pair with my car phone. The other one did. This one won't ask for the PIN, and then says it can't pair because the PIN is incorrect. How typical is that. It's the same car phone, and the same model phone.
View 1 RepliesMy 2006 BMW X5 comes with a bluetooth handsfree feature. It used to pair and work with my iPhone very well. Now, I am off the iPhone and much happier with my Atrix.However, the bluetooth doesn't work too well. I can pair the phone with the car fine. However, the phone keeps constantly disconecting and connecting (like every minuto or so), which makes it unusable with the car's handsfree. I know it is not a problem with the car (it still pairs fine with the iPhone) nor with the phone (it pairs well with my bluetooth headset). It's just the combination that is bad. I've read somewhere else that BMW's are tricky and several android users are having trouble. It seems that android lacks a handsfree profile required by BMW. Anyway, is anyone having the same problem? Any ideas of what can be done? (I've already unpaired all phone from the car, repaired, removed the battery from my phone, etc, etc, etc).

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an Atrix that is working very well for me (i used blackberries, samsung window 7, other android phones and the Atrix is the best of the bunch). I have one annoying issue that I couldn't find at various forums and the moto customer support couln't help with. I have an audi s8 2007. The phone connects fine to the audi bluetooth but once the Atrix screen sleeps, the number of the signal bars displayed on the car's screen freezes. If I wake the Atrix screen the car screen immediately displays the correct signal bars but freezes again once the Atrix screen sleeps. I have tested that extensively and it is related to the Atrix screen sleeping. The car screen displays signal bars in areas where there is no signal and it will show one bar in areas where there is 5 bars. Any ideas on what setting on the phone may be affecting this.

I turn on the bluetooth on phone- make sure all other devises are off - turn on the headset - it says it is pairing - but my phone only shows it is now discoverable - shows the headset name - but never makes the connection.

My car's bluetooth (2011 Honda Odyssey) was working perfectly with my Droid X (which had "FroYo" 2.2 software). Due to problems with my phone, Verizon had me update to the newest software (2.3, called "Gingerbread"). I now cannot pair the Droid with the car. I have called Verizon and Motorola both, who both stated that the most likely culprit was the car. Honda states that it is compatible with "Gingerbread" on newer phones, but not certain if it is on the original Droid, and Motorola has not sent a sample for Honda to test for the original Droid. What do I do? Is there a fix available here? Should I ask Verizon or Motorola to put the previous version, 2.2 or "FroYo" back on my phone?

I can make calls fine, but the only data that transfers to the MB display is the phone numbers, no names or information. I have previously paired a Palm Pre, Droid X, iPhone 3G, HTC Thunderbolt(couldn't stand it, way too many problems/issues) and all of them paired fine and the data transferred showing name, place (work/cell/home) and the phone number in either numerical or alphabetical order.

I have a bluetooth device which used to be paired to my phone. However the device will no longer pair. When I try to connect the device via the App for it, I get the following error:
Couldn't pair with xxxx Because of an incorrect PIN or Passkey. The problem with this is THE DEVICE Does not have a method to input a passkey or pin
And it has NEVER asked for one in the past. I have already tried restarting the phone.
Uninstalling and installing the app for the device and nothing works'.
In fact to make things worse when I try to view the device via Bluetooth devices on the phone it does not show up on the list of devices. However If I use an iPHONE, I can see the device in the list of bluetooth devices. Which is suggesting that this is an ISSUE with the Bluetooth for the Sony Z3 on Android 5.0.2 ....
Droid X was 2.2 (Froyo) - paired beautifully with my car's bluetooth - Address Book - display names and phone numbers perfectly.On Friday , August 5, 2011, I selected to upgrade to 2.3 (Gingerbread).Everything seemed perfect.New bells, new whistles.I received error message trying to text. I received unexplained promblems seeking access to the internet. I tried calling home and the error message surprised me. I was no longer active. I needed to contact Verizon to reactivate my phone. I asked why my phone was deactivated. I was assured my phone was not deactivated and was walked thru a "re-activation process". I have now done this twice in the past 5 days.My car's bluetooth has alos allowed me to viewed the phone address book by "name' of my telephone number, including the telephone number.First name, last name and telephone number. So, while driving, bluetooth enabled, select the name of the person I want to call, push the button and viola!... hands free calling via my car's bluetooth.Now that I have upgraded... No "name' is listed, only the telephone numbers. I met with my local Verizon sales support person. He was stumped.We deleted the pairing, reinstalled the pairing 3 times. Still no address book by "name"... Stumped.

I have both a CommandOne bluetooth, and a Jabra Stone....both of which pair with my Droid X, but don't communicate....they both did at one time (the CommandOne stopped communicating during a conversation)....the Jabra who knows when it quit. Now I have two BT's neither of which I can use. I keep thinking I must be doing something wrong, but damned if I can figure it out. This should be pretty straight forward. I've turned off BT, and the restarted the phone, done multiple Discoveries, multiple retrys at connecting.

Now above what I have bolded are my areas of concern. In particular, the second quote:First is whether the device ships with a bootloader that is capable of being unlocked or re-locked.The Motorola Atrix HD has indeed shipped with a bootloader that is capable of being unlocked or re-locked. It supports the exact same commands as the Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE does, the commands of:
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot oem get_unlock_data
fastboot oem lock
This device fits that exact definition. Running a strings.exe runthrough of the bootloader from the Atrix HD shows that it indeed supports these commands, and anyone with this device and the android-sdk can run these commands themselves. The part where the unlocking process is stuck is the Motorola "Unlock My Device" webkit, where the results of "fastboot oem get_unlock_data" were pasted into the box to get the emailed UNIQUE_KEY to put into "fastboot oem unlock [ unlock code ] " as the same process is the Photon Q 4G LTE. I had an incorrect password attempt(10 times) i guess. This lead to factory reset to my phone. While logging back in, the motoblur account retrieved all my previous accounts but all my phone and memory card data is completely gone. Not sure, if it was a factory reset or the andriod upgrade which did that. Is there a way to find out ? And i really need my important data back. I assume the data is not literally deleted from the phone or card memory, but is there a way to retrieve it. I had a backup activated but not sure where to restore it from and how long was that backup updated.

My new phone is correctly paired with the blurtooth in my 2011 Subaru Forester and connected and worked, but does NOT auto-connect when I restart the car, I have to go into bluetooth settings on my phone, and tap the device "Car_Media" to make a connection. My previous phone worked correctly and auto-connected when I started the car.. I've fully deleted all devices and pairings from the car and the phone and re-paired the new phone several times. NG. Have an iPhone 5 with IOS 7.1.2 and MBA with IOS 10.9.4I can not pair them via BTWhen the MBA finds the iPhone it sends the numeric code which is received OK by the iPhone.When I accept it the iPhone is listed as Connected in the BT menu of the MBA. For a couple a seconds.It then shows as not connected. In the phone the MBA is listed as NOT CONNECTED, of course.When I touch the MBA in the list of devices of the Bluetooth screen in the iPhone a pop-up tells me the MBA is not compatible. I have tried with airplane mode, turning BT off and on, and several combinations thereof with no result.

I have an E71 phone purchased from UAE and was working pretty well till i got the phone updated to the latest 510.21.009. The phone started giving problems thereafter.Initilly i found the phone not responding after installing whatsapp. I removed that program and the phone was fine. It restarts in between without any reason. The latest problem is that the bluetooth pairing menu is missing in the bluetooth option. It used to be a secondary tab on the right hand side of the main menu. Now its missing.
