My battery powered down while recording and now I can not open the recorded file. It is in the file but an error message shows when I try to playback. Is there a way to get the file to play?
View 2 RepliesI got the Bionic on the launch date, but hadn't gotten around to testing the camcorder capabilities. I tested it last night and was a bit annoyed by the autofocus. I tried shooting the inside of my bedroom, but the autofocus kept engaging every 2 seconds. In effect, it made the whole video choppy as the screen zoomed in and out slightly every couple of seconds. To verify, I held the camcorder as straight as possible and focused on a plain white wall (so it wasn't an issue of excessive movement on the screen). I recorded in both 720p and 1080p using the default camcorder settings (no flash, no color effects).
I was using the stock camcorder app and have not installed any 3rd party apps for the camera or camcorder. The room was lit with artificial lights and was neither overly bright no overly dark. I am going to test it again outside in the sun to see if the same thing happens.Is this something that you are seeing as well, and could there be a fix? I still have about 10 more days to return this phone, and of all the seemingly "little" things that bug me about this phone (screen, battery life while idle, poor picture quality), this one is probably going to bug me the most.
I have Motorola CLIQ and updated to Blur 2.1.5 on April. Currently, when I click to start recording, the screen will freeze; but the recording counter time on top left is still continuing. Once click again to stop recording, the file will shows error and cannot play. I try to reboot the system, and it didn't work. The App I have are: Angry Birds, Barcode Scanner, Gas Buddy, Google Maps, Skype, Translate, WhatsApp, Zillow.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSince the beginning, the camera/video functions have been sketchy. The camcorder would work about half the time. Then (unrelated, I think) my SD card blew out. I got a new, better SD Card (32G, class 4), and suddenly, my camera/video was working much better. THEN, a few months later, both completely siezed up. The camera app would start, but in seconds, it would lock up, the picture display would lock, and I couldn't do anything. Same goes for the camcorder app. So, I then downloaded and tried out a few camera apps from the Play Store. all of which worked.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI find that sometimes when I go to wake my phone, it is totally off and will not wake at all. Also, it sometimes still has the LED flashing but attempts to wake it by pressing the menu button or on/off switch don't work at all and the only resolution is to do a battery pull.Anyone else having these issues?I am also very disappinted with the speaker volume. I had an original Motorola Droid and that speaker was loud and powerful. This speaker is pitiful. There's no use using it as an alarm clock. The vibrate doesn't work half the time either.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIn testing the use of a USB thumbdrive on the Razr Maxx HD I discovered that it causes my phone to simply shut down instantly. The light on the thumbdrive lights up momentarily prior to the sudden crash. If left in while booting the thumbdrive apepars to be fine until the OS attempts to mount it at which point it again instantly crashes.
This was tested using an OTG micro-USB to full USB adapter and a thumbdrive using FAT and then again with FAT32.
I'm having a big problem recording video with the Motorola DROID RAZR.I can record about 1-2 minuts and then it freezes.I notice that is seems some audio is still being recorded (as I can hear it on the playback), but the video just locks up.Also, I notice that it boots me out of the camera and back to the home screen.I've tried recording when saving to the micro-card or internal. Both ways are still ineffective.Also, I've noticed that sometimes, when call are coming in, the screen is unresponsive and cannot pick-up the call. I'm not sure if this is related, but I thought I would mention here anyway.

The first video I tried to take was laggy during the recording, and playback was at a seemingly 1.5x speed and was glitchy. I recieved advice to uninstall Flash 10.3, and while shorter videos would record and play back okay, I still get some issues such as the phone rebooting while trying to navigate the gallery.

Since the gingerbread update, if encryption is enabled, the highest video recording mode is 720x480.
Only if disable encryption is 1280x720 an option. 1280x720 worked fine with encrpytion under froyo - why did this change and how quickly can this serious bug be fixed?

I know from what I read on the forums that the camera and video have some issues. I wish I would have read this before getting rid of my revolution but I needed actual use of my phone and not constant rebooting and a nice camera.This is something I noticed last night when recording a clip of our new puppies. While recording at default setting the screen would keep flickering black approx every minute or so. I thought maybe it was due to a low battery and never thought that is was actually being transferred into the video itself. When I played the video back on my computer though, I noticed that it was recording that way and it was not just a simple timeout of the screen as I once thought.
I tried the next day with both camera and video on a FULL battery and got the same results. It seems like this may be linked to the autofocus problem/bug I have been reading about. I checked and cleaned the lens too just to make sure that nothing was causing the cam to focus in and out all the time.Wondering if anyone else is having these problems or is it just me. If so has anyone found a correction or app that can fix these issues while waiting for an / if any / for motorola.The cam and video can take decent photos if the subject is sitting still with no problem, however try taking a baby or puppy running around and no luck at all.Any internal settings that anyone has found that can control the auto focus time or an app that can change it?
Just recently when my alarm goes off in the morning there are times when no matter what I do, it won't shut off. The only thing to do is shut the phone down and reboot.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI seem to have lost the autofocus on the camcorder app - it doesn't want to autofocus or "continus" focus.Both choices do nothing.The camera will focus, but the camcorder just sits there at whatever default... Worked fine for awhile after a reset, but seems to have suddenly stopped again.No amount of power cycling changes anything. I had ATK running, tried stopping that at startup, no effect. Only have few other apps installed, such as Rhapsody.Any advice other than another reset? ...Not really wanting to 'root' it just for a different camera/camcorder app, that seems a little extreme. Tried an "MIUI" app, but it seemed out of date, and wouldn't autofocus on camcorder either.........Only other (BAD) glitch, which forced me to do factory reset, was inability to remove "corporate" email acct. after adding/removing/adding - it was "stuck" somehow and would not let me remove it. I have since removed it successfully after the reset, but have gone with "Touchdown" for email.Other than the camcorder bug, and the email client glitch, it's a solid device!

I started to setup my Zimbra activesync connection using the Moto Corporate Sync and get an informational message. The choice is OK only, and the only way to get 1080p video recording is to Factory Reset.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy camera and camcorder don't work, I take a photo with the camera and it does all the right things but does not save the image, the camcorder pushes you out of the camcorder screen when you push the record button and back to the home screen, I have tried to clear the Cache data under phone settings. If I turn the phone off and on again it works fine for a little bit but I shouldn't have to do this everytime I want to take a photo or movie.

I did a hard reset on it last week, but that only worked for a few days. I've had the phone for a year and a half (actually, even when it was new, it never had the battery life it was supposed to have). What should I do? Resetting every couple of weeks does not sound fun. If I root my phone, will I have more options?
