Motorola Droid Turbo :: Alarm Clock Only Shut Off When Reboot
Sep 17, 2015
Just recently when my alarm goes off in the morning there are times when no matter what I do, it won't shut off. The only thing to do is shut the phone down and reboot.
I like some of the ringtones that came with the phone and would like to try some of them for the alarm clock. The ringtones that show up as options for the built in alarm clock are way too jarring for me -- they would give me a heart attack.
I don't want to have to go download stuff from online... is there a way to just use some of the other sounds on the phone?
Who's "bright" idea was it to re-skin the alarm clock app in white? I'm generally already in bed with the lights out when I set my alarm for the morning.
update this app with an option to return to "night" mode, ie dark screen with white text, like it was in 2.2
This morning was the second time in two months that the alarm clock on my phone didn't work. I've had my RAZR MAXX since the first week it was released, and I use it as my alarm clock every weekday. Most days it works just like it's supposed to, but this morning (and once probably a month ago), it never went off. When I unlocked the phone, the icon was in the Notification Bar as if it had been snoozed, but it had never gone off. My wife was already awake, and it was already about a half-hour past when it should have gone off, so I know I didn't press snooze.
Occassionally, when my alarm goes off in the morning, it won't ring. It will just vibrate. I have no clue why this is happening. I thought I had it figured out but it happened again today. I think it has something to do with smart actions (even though I don't have a smart action for alarm).
My alarm goes off vibrate only, no sound and a box is on the screen saying the alarm clock needs force closed. Then my phone freezes up and I have to turn it off via power and volume key. I'm using the stock alarm clock too.
I have lablels assigned to my alarm clocks. In Gingerbread when the alarm went off it would dispaly the label on the screen. Are the ICS labels only displayed in the notification area? I could swear one time I did see the label appear over the large clock time on screen. I can't duplicate it though. See image.
Whenever i voice ask my Droid Turbo to do something verbally it will come back FIRST by saying "connecting to google" then it will begin performing whatever task i have asked it. Example: i would say "whats up google now navigate to 123 main street Oceanside": and it will come back with a VERBAL reply "connecting to google" "navigating to 123 main street Oceanside" How do i PREVENT and STOP it from verbally replying EVERYTIME i ask a question before beginning my task by my phone giving a verbal "connecting to google" Its very annoying and in my mind an unnecessary response for the phone to always be saying.
Home screen droid turbo. Circle clock widget. What is that top bar measuring. I know bottom is battery. I see what almost looks like the gps symbol next to the bar. Wondering what exactly this is representing....
While I like the functionality of the Moto Command Center it doesn't fit my phone's theme very well. I am using Nova Launcher with UP icon pack. I'm looking for something different. What do you use for a home screen weather/clock/battery (if included) widget?
Is there a way to disable the motion sensor from constantly waking the phone, without losing notifications for email/texts/etc?
I have disabled all the moto actions, but the clock screen is still constantly coming up whenever the phone moves, such as when I'm walking or it is sitting on the passenger seat in my car! I can make it stop by disabling moto display, but since there's no LED to notify me when I get a text or email, I'll never know....
Lumia 900 failed to wake me up this morning. The alarm just did not sound at all.
- Alarm was set and was shown to be in use. Even the Icon in the start screen was shown - Tried multiple times afterwards setting the existing alarm a few minutes forward. None of the attempts alarmed.
How I set the alarm is that I always edit the existing alarm, edit the time and push the alarm on.When I tried creating a new alarm (a few minutes forward), that ringed ok. But the existing alarm failed to ring
I've had my Electrify since the beginning of the year, and I recently started having trouble with the alarm clock. I will set it for 7:00 a.m., it will show up on the screen at 7 like normal, but the sound does not play. Then, when I wake up late for work, I have a notification saying that the alarm was silenced after 30 minutes. Like all other issues, I remove the battery and restart the phone, then it works fine. However, I really don't want to test my alarm just to make sure that it will work every morning.
So I haven't had the muted phone call audio since the update, but now I get the silent ringer and silent alarm problem which power cycling does not fix.
More recently, my droid turbo has been turning rainbow colors instead of black with the time when it's charging. If I press the lock button myself, the phone will lock and stay black with the time. If I unlock my phone and let it be, it'll turn to the rainbow colors. I have my phone on the turbo charger when this happens!
I have one problem with my desire. Problem is - if I activate alarm and in the meantime I've got sms or any other notification (missed call,...), when alarm starts, it can't be turned off. I need to turn off phone or activate alarm on one minute ahead, and wait to turn off. I have android 2.2 on my desire
I find that sometimes when I go to wake my phone, it is totally off and will not wake at all. Also, it sometimes still has the LED flashing but attempts to wake it by pressing the menu button or on/off switch don't work at all and the only resolution is to do a battery pull.Anyone else having these issues?I am also very disappinted with the speaker volume. I had an original Motorola Droid and that speaker was loud and powerful. This speaker is pitiful. There's no use using it as an alarm clock. The vibrate doesn't work half the time either.
I use my iPhone's alarm clock to wake up on weekdays. Twice now, it has failed to go off in the past week or two. When I look at it, it's "Off," but I haven't turned it off. In fact the only time I ever launched the clock app was to set up this alarm, except when I've had to turn it back "On."
Of all the bugs, this one really bothers me. I just deleted the alarm and made a new one. Hopefully, this doesn't happen again.
I am a long time Android user, but just recently got the LG G3 (32GB version) with Bell Canada. I had a Samsung SIII for the past few years and upgrade time came. So I did my research, found the LG G3, and so far I've been very happy.
There is one issue, though, that I have found with the alarm clock. I first noticed it Saturday (I got the phone Friday), set up the alarm clock app, and made sure it worked (by setting it 2-3 min in the future and waiting). Saturday morning, I found myself naturally waking up, I didn't think much of it as that is normal for a Saturday. Then I realized that it was around 9 AM (the alarm was set for 8 AM), I asked my wife if she heard it --- she said, "no". So then I set it for a few minutes in the future again, "must have slept through it", I thought (even though I could wake up to the SOUND of the display coming on).
Sunday morning I got woke up by the kids at 6 AM, but noticed that the alarm DID go off at 8 AM (the difference being that since 6 AM, I had the device unplugged and had been using it).
Today, I had my alarm set for 5:30 (my normal waking time during the week), I woke up to the sound of my wife's alarm at 5:45, mine definitely did not go off. I rolled over and opened the alarm app --- everything is set up properly. So then I figure that I'll set it for 5:50, do so, and it goes off at 5:50, I snooze it and it goes off at 6:00.
This morning I installed Alarm Clock Plus, but I won't know if it works properly until tomorrow morning. All my Stock alarm settings are correct, I DO have Quiet Mode turned on for the duration of the night (10 PM -- 6 AM), but some of the tests I ran (eg the 5:50 one) were ran during Quiet Mode. In Quiet mode I have "Block alarms" unchecked. Under the stock Alarm Clock's settings I have "Ring in Silent Mode" checked as well.
I set my alarm the night before and by the time morning comes the alarm is turned off by itself. The icon goes away and I have to go into the clock app to turn it back on.
In testing the use of a USB thumbdrive on the Razr Maxx HD I discovered that it causes my phone to simply shut down instantly. The light on the thumbdrive lights up momentarily prior to the sudden crash. If left in while booting the thumbdrive apepars to be fine until the OS attempts to mount it at which point it again instantly crashes.
This was tested using an OTG micro-USB to full USB adapter and a thumbdrive using FAT and then again with FAT32.
I am not able to set the alarm on the clock or calendar I don't know wats wrong because I have only had this fone 4 two weeks I have tried to pull the battry out several times and even went to the extent of updating the software and its still not working .
in the Applications folder but can not find the alarm clock, but in the main screen of my blackkberry curve is the clock symbol. So the clock will continue playing but I can not disconnect because I find the clock icon in the Applications folder.
I have Lumia950 and Windows 10 and time settings is set to 24-hour clock and region and local set to Iceland (I've tried other region settings and all the same).
When I set an alarm I only have option to use 12-hour AM/PM format. Is there a way to have the alarm using the 24 hour format?
(Good news is that the calendar alarms now allow 24 hour format for reminders which was not possible on my 1020!)
Alarm clock app for 950XL with following attributes: can use customized sounds like Ringtone/Music each different alarm time can be customized for its own sound from Ringtones/music. Does not repeat at all if at each preset time when alarm sounds is not snoozed or cancelled, i.e., just sounds once at specified time and waits for next alarm time.
