Im trying to create and application on for my Droid 3 but when i connect the phone to my computer it starts to install the driver but then says driver installation failed.Also, when i turn on debugging for my Droid it doesnt show up on my phone. Im sure this is because of the failed installation.

I am trying to control few SE mobile models such as W595, W705 and more in remote via serial module (Hyper Terminal and others). After a period of time where things went smoothly I ran into 2 major problems:
1. Only the first device is installed correctly on the pictures. All other devices identified as "Other devices” and it takes a lot of time (more than 10 minute) till the second device driver are installed.
2. When I run an automation test which communicate with the SE device via serial (using the comport identified in the device manager as management) suddenly the device stops response to the serial commands from any serial tool (my application, Hyper Terminal, etc). What I see is that the device remain identified in the device manager but doesn't response. When I close the serial session and reopen it I get the response of the previous command.
I have been trying to connect my nokia n900 to my pc that runs windows 7. I am using usb cable that came with the phone. I get an error messege on the computer when using mass storage mode that says "failed to install device driver'. I downloaded PC suite and tried PC suite mode. I got an error message saying "your phone is in file transfer mode. quit file tranfer mode to proceed" how do I quit file transfer mode?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to link my RAZR HD and 64-bit Windows 7 laptop through bluetooth (Intel Centrino Bluetooth 3.0 adapter). I pair them, but when the driver installation starts, all but one of the 5 driver installations fail. Is this a Motorola problem and if so, is there anywhere I can download the correct drivers? I'm 90% sure everything is up to date on the laptop end of the equation.

Sometimes it doesn't get my touch inputs, other times it goes into "automatic mode" with continuous random inputs until I turn off the screen.According to a phone shop person I interviewed, this has to do with the touchscreen's digitizer. Do you have any comment on that?This phone has always been handled with care - never dropped, never wet, absolutely spotless - and thus how this could fail on me after just 6 months of use is beyond belief. I am currently on travel in the USA, and wonder if the guarantee is international???

Accepted an OTA update this morning (verizon, not sure what code it was, I didn't look closely enough). Update failed and phone now only boots to bootloader. I have tried the power up while holding X key, and that gets me to triangle and droid guy, but from the search key does nothing, I cannot get the menu up to reset the phone.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhile I am able to send and receive text messages at the moment, recently, I found where 6 text messages never got sent. I deleted them. However, I still show a text message icon with a red circle/slash through it indicatint the messages never got sent. Since they were deleted, how can I get rid of the failed messages icon in the status bar? I clear the bar, but the icon eventually returns. Don't know why it happened or how; but thought deleting the messages would delete the icon. Not even sure how I'm now ok sending and receiving messages!

I have a Nokia x6 16 gb..I had it for about a week in which time I added 14gb of music and the uk maps..All was working perfectly. However.... Last Saturday I decided to use the "comes with music" voucher that came with it..I selected the music I wanted and downloaded it and was told that I had to download the DRM software to play...I clicked yes and then waited and waited..it seemed my phone had frozen as ovi player would not transfer any music to it.. I unplugged it and tried to plug back in but got the dreaded "mtp device driver failed". I have tried everything I have read on these forums and the web including:- Deleting the folder in the private folder on the mass storage card. performing a hard reset on the phone (although my music was still on the card?) Deleting all of the nokia software and running the nokia cleaner and reinstalling... Doing the above but disabling Windows media player and reanabling it a later date still no joy.. I have windows 7 home premium 64 bit on my desktop so no options to reinstall WMP just disable. I have tried to plug it into my wifes' laptop which has windows 7 home premium 32 bit and I get the same message however her nokia 5800 works fine in her laptop..

Took less than 10 minutes to install then when the X started back up it displayed an "Update Failed" message on the slide to unlock screen. Going to Settings > About phone does show a system version of 4.5.602.

I've installed the MotoHelper driver 4.9, and rebooted. Restart the Windows 7 machine.. When I plug in the xoom it says installing usb driver and then says MTP USB device failed to install. Not only that, then my external wireless Microsoft Keyboard with usb bluetooth tranceiver and wireless mouse (non-bluetooth) with usb tranceiver both fail to operate. Seems like there is some conflict.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI just bought the lapdock for the Atrix 4G and I think this is the first generation ($50 from AT&T). In my home network, I have a print server (Trendnet) to which 2 Epson inkjet printers are attached via the 2 USB ports.
Now when I add a printer in the lapdock, it shows me the 2 USB ports (PS-7336E9-U1 and PS7336E9-U2, both of these are standard TCP/IP ports per printer properties on my desktop. I select one of them and just shows me the Postcript or PCL drivers. when I tried to print a test page, it printed all garbage on mulitple pages, whichever of my 2 network printers. Is there a way to install the Epson inkjet drivers so that it will print properly on my lapdock.
Windows Vista is not detecting my phone, it says "device driver is not successfully installed". I have installed the latest MotoHelper on my computer.
View 4 Replies View RelatedDoes Motorola intentionally make their new products inferior at release?I've been using a Droid and a Droid 2 for about 18 months.I shoot a lot of pictures outdoors, some macro, lots of nature and concerts.I also shoot indoors under challenging conditions (concert lighting.) They have both prtovided a passable point-and-shoot camera.The Droid 3 camera is dissapointing in that several important features have vanished:
-There is auto white balance, only a manual and difficult-to-use control.
-The user can no longer set ISO
-The user can no longer set EV
-Focus is iffy under a variety of conditions
-Photos have a bluish cast under most conditions, with and without flash
So instead of getting pretty good shots with a convenient camera, I'm getting washed-out, bluish garbage.(Issues with the video vs. Droid 2 also, in a separate post.)I want to know if Motorola intends to make the experience of this camera catch up with the spec soon, or if i should return my phone while I can still get something else from Verizon.
This morning my phone said it needed to do an update. So I hit update. about a minute later the screen went black and the motorola symbol popped up in the middle...than in the upper left corner it says Failed to boot 2 starting RSD mode......It will not do anything. I have taken the battery out several times but nothing.
