Selecting "Motocast Computers" in the Files Application the computer shows that it is online. When selecting my specific computer it returns a "Failed to load content.Please try again." message. This used to work and show folders and files. My WiFi and data connection is working but cannot resolve this.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo far I have been able to assign a ringtone to only 1 contact. For all the others I have tried thus far, I select the ringtone that I want, hit OK and it goes back to the default ringtone. This is strictly the Phone Contact list. I am not using any social networking apps at this time. I do use the Verizon Backup Assistant for my contacts, but that has never been an issue on any of my previous phones. This is the same contact list that was restored from my old phone to this one and the contacts have not changed.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo far I really love this phone, but I seem to have stumbled across somewhat of a glitch that I can't figure out yet. This "smartphone" doesn't seem to allow me what a simple BASIC phone always did....and that is to allow me to assign a different ringtone to specific contacts. I do see that it is an option however it won't save the change on some contacts, but it does on others. I select the contact I want to update, I tap the menu option, then select "Options." I open the Ringtone dropdown, select a new ringtone, tap OK....but when I get out to that previous screen - it once again shows the ringtone as default. I don't understand this. Why will it let me save on some, but not others? I compared one contact that didn't save....to another that did save. They both have the same type of info - a mobile number, an email address, a home address, a facebook link, and a birthday listed. One saved - the other did not.

The only fields I could enter text in was the question title field. Each time it tried (three posts I think) that was all I could fill in. On existing posts, the Post an Answer field would not be visible. I made sure that I was singed in and all that, I could not get anything to work.

I have selected first name first from the menu in > contacts in both fields but without success. It only changes the "me" profile. It doesn't matter if I try and change the SIM list or the phone list.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI plugged it in to the computer tonight to see what exactly was in the double folders that I can see in the gallery. My computer can't even find the device. Went to Moto's site and downloaded drivers and installed them. Nope. Cannot find device. Ok. Son plugged his phone in - nope no device found. My computer runs XP. His computer runs Win 7 and he also has a Maxx with JB update on it that he got the same time I did. His opens Motocast and that is it. No drive letters. So on a whim, we took both phones to my granddaughter's computer running XP also and hers found all the drives on both phones. Is there a setting I am missing? We didn't change anything when we went to her computer..just plugged it is and it found the device and opened all the drives.

The folders that Quick Office seems to point to are dcim (which, to my knowledge relates to pictures) and a directory called LOST.dir. How do I (1) create folders (or a directory structure of folders, and (2) tell Quick Office to point there? Or, do I have to tell GMAIL what to do with attachments?

I've noticed that 90% of the time I am on wifi at my house Facebook will not load content. It will only show some stuff if previously loaded. My computers, TVs, wife's iPhone 5...all work fine on my wifi. The only issue is Facebook on my phone.
View 20 Replies View RelatedI purchased the Moto Elite Sliver because my Plantronics Pro HD would drop its bluetooth every single time a call was answered or placed. I did a little research and found it may be related to a conflict with the 2.0 headset and 4.0 phone. Moto Sliver is BT 3.0 and was working great until this week. Now every single time a call is disconnected, the headset disconnects and reconnects. Reboots galore, problem still exists. Uninstall/reinstall Motospeak, problem still exists. Sometimes the bluetooth will not connect at all (reboot required). The Droid RAZR Maxx and the Elite Sliver are supposed to be state of the art MOTOROLA, I make a living with my phone and headset.

On the Photon I have the same tone setup for text messages coming in through Handcent but it also plays for email coming into the native email client which I do not want. Is there anyway to ether turn it off or select a different ring tone for emails?
Also what is the over/under for Motorola getting tired of hearing "I could do it on my HTC..."
USb tethering And Wifi Hotspot are not working, a new local connection is made on my laptops, but no browsing is possible and in Win 7 just sets there trying to work out what network location to use.

It's as if the WiFi is going to sleep when I power the screen off, but it doesn't wake up again. Turning WiFi off and on makes it reconnect.It seems to happen mostly when I'm at home, where I also use the Motorola flip stand with "ESP" smart charger, and a NetGear dual-band wireless router/access point.

Now, after several days' worth of set-up, google searches, forum searches and FAQ's, I'm come to the conclusion that Motorola did NOT build this function into the Droid Razr, and I have to pay a hefty fee for a decent 3rd-party app to do what my Blackberry did for free. View 1 Replies View RelatedI frequently hit adjacent keys while texting on my old Droid X. A larger screen and of course 4G and a faster processor were appealing as well. As the Razr HD models sport screens almost as large as the S3 I ran to see them on their first day out of the gates. What a disappointment! Holding my old Droid X up against them I saw that the usable screen sizes were identical. Namely 4.3" unless playing videos in which case the video filled up the Razr HD's 4.7" screen. I couldn't find anything else that would fill up the screen. Perhaps, photos might. But internet browsing, texting and whatever else I tried occupied a 4.3" inset within the 4.7" screen. So why have a 4.7" screen at all? The Galaxy S3 on the other hand fills up the entire 4.8" screen with not only video but everything else, including texting, messaging, web browsing, and everything else I tried. So what gives? Why did you even create a 4.7" screen if you aren't going to utilize it to its full potential?
