View 2 RepliesI've been noticing lately my fingerprint scanner getting extremely hot lately. Almost too hot to touch. I've wiped the phone and reinstalled the OS (Gingerbread 2.3.4) and all updates. I've cleaned the scanner with a q-tip and a small amount of rubbing alcohol. I'm not sure what else to try, or if I even should try anything else. Should I just file a claim or is this something that's not covered?
View 3 Replies View RelatedJust curious what AT&T's thinking was behind the lack of a fingerprint scanner on this phone. For me, that's one of my favorite things about the Atrix. I must be in the minority on this I supppose.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWill the fingerprint scanner still unlock the phone if a "Password Required" AS policy is pushed to the phone?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been using the phone for past two weeks and having issue with the fingerprint scanner. The scanner stops working all of a sudden for no reason and then the phone needs to be rebooted to make the scanner function. I updated my phone with the latest patch .83..
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy finger print scanner suddenly stopped working out of nowhere. I tired rebooting the phone and a factory reset.Nothing seems to work. The fingerprint scanner will work once in a while but it's rare.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWould like to use scanner but don't understand why the security lock timer is disabled (greyed out) so I use the pattern instead so I can utilize the lock timer.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis morning my phone said it needed to do an update. So I hit update. about a minute later the screen went black and the motorola symbol popped up in the middle...than in the upper left corner it says Failed to boot 2 starting RSD mode......It will not do anything. I have taken the battery out several times but nothing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried to do the update from morphine website and when it supposedly finished it rebooted into a failed to boot screen and then turns off. So what do I do now can I fix it or get a new phone?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhat do I do when my screen says failed to boot 1. I've been on new software for several months and have not dropped my phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm completely stock. Never unlocked any bootloaders or flash anything that messed with the system. I used the Motorola Update software to check for new update and install it. After a reboot, my phone displays the following message "Failed to boot 4" and I can't get the phone to get out of it. The only way I can turn the phone off is with a battery pull. I was on a stock 1.8.3 before this mess. What can I do? Is this a bug in the OTA update?
View 3 Replies View RelatedJust today at lunch I couldn't open my camera. I then powered my phone off and then on again and the camera was fine.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently got a Motorola Atrix from a friend who used it for 3 weeks and then upgraded to another phone.
When I got it, after doing a factory reset thing, things were fine. But a few hours later after starting up I started to get this message:
svf:105:1:2
Failed to boot 0x1000
Entering NVFlash Recovery Mode
It appears for 2 seconds and then it's gone. I can't seem to do a hard reset; holding any of the volume buttons with the power button to turn it on just gives me this same message.
First let me say that I have done a search and I have read the threads that are the exact same issue as mine. The difference is that I have no idea what to actually do about my phone. Background - when gingerbread pushed to my phone something went wrong (although it was plugged in at the time) and basically my phone reboot itself in the middle of the install. The phone no longer works. When this happened (a few months ago) I had to have a phone immediately as I was heading out of town for a few days and had to have a phone to be able to get in touch with my pregnant wife if need be.Needless to say this is now my "backup" phone that is 10x better than the current phone I am using and I would really like to get it fixed somehow.
I have tried RSD lite. I have tried the motorola software update program. I have tried using the factory cable that was sent in the box. I cannot get the phone to recognize via usb so I cannot move a software to the micro usb card.I cannot access any of the options for the "no os detected" screen that appears. Most of them say that the battery is too low to flash.
this is begining whit firmware update gingerbreadmy atrix show in the display svf :105.1:2 failed to boot 0x1000thats al in the display that i see
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have tried to update to Jelly Bean 4.1 but every time after I download and try to install after the reboot it says "Update Software Failed" I have tried resetting the phone back to its factory settings clearing out all data and still the same issue.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThis is my second Atrix. It is failing to turn on its' Bluetooth radio. I go to Settings > Wireless & Networks > Bluetooth (and Bluetooth Settings) and try to turn Bluetooth on. It indicates that it's turning on Bluetooth and then it fails, returning to the "Turn on bluetooth" message. I've rebooted, done a battery pull, tried to turn it on from Airplane mode...everything short of a factory reset (because I really really really don't want to set this thing up from scratch again!).
View 4 Replies View RelatedI keep getting an error message that the ICS software update has failed. The download process will finish, it will stop a little into the installation, restarts the phone and says the update failed. Is anyone else having this problem or know of any way that I can get the update to install?

After showing this error my phone switch off. Its happened when I try to update my phone to gingerbread.
I have the Bell Mobility Atrix. For the most part it works fine. However, lately, this is what's going on. First I should mention that I have the Android Twitter app (from Twitter) installed on the phone and I can log in to Twitter, send/receive messages just fine with that. If, however, I go to Accounts > Add Account, then select Twitter in the Motoblur section (where all the other social media icons also appear), enter my credentials, I get a message stating Success!, Then, if I go to Messaging from the Home Screen, I see the Twitter icon, however it has a yellow exclamation point through it, and the message "Failed Connection".
So I cannot see/read/send messages to/from my Twitter inbox using the Universal Inbox (again, Twitter works just fine through the regular Android Twitter app). I have done all the normal troubleshooting, i.e. removed battery & SIM card, replaced them. Uninstalled and removed my accounts, rebooted phone. Reinstalled app and also re-added my Motoblur Twitter account, and each time it says "Failed Connection". I don't see online where I can configure my Universal Inbox accounts, only on the phone.
my yahoo mail account was recently disabled. i tried many times to login with my correct login info but i keep getting the same response...... "login to this account has failed, please try again"
View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought my wife the Razr M from AmazonWireless and she loves the upgrade from her Droid X, but we're having problems with barcode scanners.
When taking pictures using the built in camera app, autofocus works fine. However, when scanning a barcode using any app that supports barcode scanning, the camera never autofocuses and since the barcode is out of focus, it can't be scanned. We've tried it using ZXing Barcode Scanner, the Munzee app, and the walgreens pharmacy app.
I haven't been able to find any reports of others having a similar issue which makes me think it might be a hardware issue.
id like to buy one of those over 3000mah batteries for my atrix 2 , but where i live i can only find this batteries for the atrix 4g and im not sure if it works on the atrix 2.
View 7 Replies View RelatedHave a Droid X which will randomly drain its battery in an hour or two due to the com. motorola.blur.service.main consuming 100% of the CPU.I am unable to determine any trigger for this event. On most occasions my only warning of this occurring is that the phone will become very hot due to the CPU load. This event will typically occur every day or every other day. This behavior has occurred with all versions of Gingerbread. It behaved properly on Froyo and Eclair. The first occurrence of this behavior coincided with the original Gingerbread update.Phone is and always has been running a complete stock OS (not rooted). The phone is in perfect condition with no physical damage of any kind.
The process in question and coincidental rapid loss of battery capacity has been verified via SystemPanel. This phone is NOT running any type of automatic/interval task killer, virus scanner, or any other snake-oil type battery improvement software.(SystemPanel is not an automatic task killer, it is simply recording per-process CPU consumption/battery drain at 15 minute intervals). The phone is used almost exclusively for business-related tasks, i.e., as a phone, for email, calendaring, and occasional web browsing.
My Motorola Atrix or Computer has a Problem install the ADB Interface so there for my phone wont connect to my Computer.I have a windows 7 32-bit operating system.I have tried installing Drivers Manualy, tried using the PDAnet Solution, tried unistalling all USB Ports, tried applications to help.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWill the Lapdock (and other accessories for that matter) work for the new Atrix 2 coming? I've only used the Lapdock lightly and it will be a real shame if it and the other accessories I've purchased over the past year won't work with the 2nd gen Atrix.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently had to get a replacement Atrix through AT&T after my original one shattered. I had insurance and AT&T provided me a refurbished one through their insurance program. My question is, will I still be able to get all future updates on this phone or is there something I need to do?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI did the Jelly Bean update on my two month old Atrix HD yesterday. Then my apps started closing on their own and then the homescreen started doing the same thing. Tried to do a FDR and I have the little android guy on my screen now with what looks like a rotating atom in his belly and a blue progress bar below him. Been like this for several hours now and I even tried calling the Motorola people and I'm still where I was. Can anyone offer a solution before I take it back to where I bought it from to see if they will even replace it? I did the holding down the volume buttons simultaneously and then the power button, got the motorola logo and then goes right back to this annoying little android guy with the rotating atom in his belly.
