GPS cannot pinpoint my location. I ive tried checking and unchecking all location services to no avail. I downloaded a gps app and confirmed I. Am receiving. All satellites. Still when I open google maps my location is not accurate. If I try to use navigation phone freezes on searching for gps......I've done factory data reset as well.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI've had my Galaxy S5 since it came out and haven't had any issues with it yet. All of a sudden this evening I noticed that when I got to the lockscreen that the GPS icon appeared in my notification bar. When I dragged down the bar it said "finding location" which was unclearable from the notification list. After unlocking the screen, sometimes the GPS icon will go away, and other times it just stays there.
Why it'd randomly start doing this now and never happened before? Any way I can get it to avoid doing that without turning my GPS off? I'm just concerned about it draining my battery life, but don't want to lose the benefits of GPS staying on.
I have lost my iphone, but I'm probably sure that isn't stolen and wonder how to locate it while it is turned off?

How can MOTOPRINT print from a non-PostScript printer such as my HP 4600 PCL 5 [URL]. MOTOPRINT can indeed find it and show it on my Moto Bionic screen (thanks to the use of MOTOPRINT Host installed in my PC), but when I attempt to print any file or document (word, jpg, etc.) it reads: "This printer is incompatible with the currently selected document type." I've read enough to suspect that it may be that my printer is not PostScript. If that's the case, am I doomed to not be able to use MOTOPRINT to print from my beloved Bionic? or is there another App which can do the task? My printer is part of my home network inasmuch as it is connected, via its "parallel connection-turned-USB," to the back of my PC.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSince the update I keep getting this notice that pops up saying my location can't be found. This is happening on a variety of apps from texting (GO) to just playing games. I have searched thru every app and nothing seems to be location based. My GPS is off and I don't use any social media apps needing location and location is also turned off on my camera. Any ideas on how to get rid of this?
Otherwise the update has made my phone a bit faster, the camera focus now works great but I am still dropping a data connection tho not constantly. My connection is alot stronger and I can at least pull 3 blue bars of 3G. I am not really happy that I am still dropping a connection. I can drop to zero bars while sitting in the same spot. It comes back faster but my phone had degraded to not being able to get back the connection for at least 5 minutes (airplane mode, shutting phone off, pulling battery).
I've seen a couple of threads about location problems, and I have a question about it. Two weather applications show my location in NJ when I'm in NY, and while the two apps show different NJ towns, both are over one hundred miles from where I am. Weatherbug allowed me to turn off network location and use the phone's GPS, but it hasn't changed anything. At this location, I must use a network extender to get a signal, so that may be mucking up the location, but the weather app is off whether I'm here or somewhere else.

I guess I don't mind so much it's finding me but if I readjust my **** in chair as I watch TV... It has to tell me it's finding my new location. If it has to, it has to but I don't need a notification every 10 seconds telling me about it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI thought it was saving pictures sent in text messages to the SD card. After all it says it is saving to SD card rather than phone internal storage. But it isn't. None of the photos are on the external SD card and they do not appear when I attempt to move the files under settings-storage-move to SD card. I noticed there is a slight difference in the path names of the camera and Handcent....the camera has the sdcard-ext in the path and Handcent does not have the ext portion in the path. However when I try to type the path into where to save them, it tells me invalid path. how to save texted photos to the external SD card?
View 6 Replies View RelatedMotorola's My Music app is having issues finding my music. If I view the albums for an artist, they all appear, but if I play that artist, some of them can't be found. Sometimes I try again, and these albums play. Once I even noticed that all of the albums appeared but songs were missing, and then when I looked at the album list again, the ones that weren't playing weren't listed. Then they appear again. The most troubling part is that these songs are in the same folder on my sd card.

My question, is there a way to disable the app asking me if I want to mark my car's location when the phone is removed from the dock. My use case is when I get home, clearly I don't need to mark my car's location when I'm at home. The app opens and asks me if I want to mark my location. I also explored using Smart Actions to do this but no luck there either. You would think you could mark locations so the app knows by GPS location that you don't need to mark this location to find your car.
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor the last few weeks my GPS has been basically useless. Sometimes if I let it sit and hunt for 30 minutes it finally picks something up. This means it's very hard to use Google Navigator or RunTracks. MapMyRun would sometimes get a lock after letting it hunt for half an hour. Letting my phone sit to do that just drains the battery though.My phone has the latest updates. I used an app to see how many satellites it "sees", and it finds about 7 or so but doesn't recieve any positioning info from them. I've tried turning location services on/off and rebooting the phone. Tried the same thing plus also removing the battery.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a XOOM FE and am using Motoprint Host Service in an attempt to print to my Brother MFC-490CW. I'm running Vista 64bit on my PC, and the Host Service is running. However, Motoprint on my Xoom FE can't see my PC host. Is there something I need to configure on my PC? My PC is connected to my wireless router via wi-fi and my printer is USB cabled to the PC. As FYI, I can see my PC's shared folders from my laptop and can also see my Brother printer via the "Find Printer" function in Motoprint (but of course can't connect to it directly as it's not compatible with Motoprint). I can also print to the Brother printer via Brother's Android wi-fi app, but Motoprint can print more document types, so I'd really like to get it to work.

My "itunes library.itl" file is found here in Windows 7: %userprofile%My Musicitunes (if you put that into windows explorer it will bring me to the file, which is actually found in a non-standard location on a 2nd internal hard on my computer.
Would it be possible to change the sync program to look at relative URL's for "My Music" such as %userprofile%My Musicitunes instead of direct URL's like I'm guessing it is doing? this syncing tell me both the relative and direct URL for their ITL file?
found a BT that has been reliable and successful with streaming music from the Atrix? This is something that would be extremely helpful for me in the enviroment that I work in. I have to use a headset that I plug into the jack on the phone, but it can be clumbersome at times and annoying.

We don't have connection in subway, so pretty much every time I am out of the tunnel and find connection I get a reboot. It doesn't happen every time though, on some occasions it doesn't reboot.I thinl after last update it started happening more often, but I am not really sure about that since I noticed some occasional reboots before, but didn't put the getting out of tunnel and reboot together and after it happened several times I noticed.

I mounted a Micro-SDHC 32gb card to my Xoom. It DOES recognize the card, in the storage section, but I cannot actually get to the card or know where it is located. I have Astro File manager, but there is an SD card directory already in the Xoom.
