Motorola Droid 2 :: Screen Won't Turn On - Keyboard Lights Up When On But No Screen
Oct 7, 2012my droid 2 screen will not come on anymore. Keyboard lights up when on but no screen. is there anything that I can do. I have tried everything available in other forums such as taking out the battery and waiting 60 seconds.

Feb 26, 2012I've had my Bionic about a week. The 4 soft buttons along the bottom of the screen (is there a common term for these?) are not always lit up. They all light up or they all don't, it's not just one of them. They're lit when I wake up the display, they'll go off after a while, sometimes just stay off briefly, other times stay off for a while. Is there any protocol for when the lights should be on or off? Is this a defect I should be concerned about?

Jul 28, 2012when I am using the qwerty keyboard (not touch screen) it is either not responding when I press a letter, or after several presses, when it does eventually respond, it displays a letter or character different from what I am pressing. Its basically to the point where my keyboard is useless. I have to hit the same key at least 5 times before it shows anything. It will sometimes skip letters that I'm typing and just display the next character. for example, I can be typing SLOWLY, hitting one at a time, spelling t-e-x-t and it will show up e-t, or something along those lines. Ill backspace to go back to the beginning to add in the missing letter and Ill hit T over and over and over till it eventually shows up, or some random character will show up.

Sep 3, 2011Looked thru the archives and couldn't find this topic. My DROID X started locking up last night when I was doing an email. It's locked up several times today, too. I've been trying to see a pattern to it. Email or text messaging, it's when I hit one of the punctuation keys. Either the period, question, or exclamation mark, each time. I've not put any new apps on my phone since Wednesday. Anyone else have this happen? Suggestions on how to stop it or fix it? Only way I could get out of it was to power it off, but this last time, I had to pull the battery as it wouldn't even power off.
