Why can't we get a keyboard backlight toggle? A simple button combo to toggle the backlight. Maybe a widget?
Is that too much to ask?

Last night my wi -fi , bluetooth, GPS , Airplane Mode, buttons changed size and color on their own. They were large and colored, now they are smaller and gray?
I think this all happened after being in the car dock. Today when removed from the car dock it was still indicating charging the battery, had to reboot to clear. Its was getting hot.
After the ICS update, I lost the GPS Enabled/Disabled toggle widget that used to be on my Razr Maxx. It was so easy to push this button to enable/disable the GPS function. Just like the Airplane mode.... Any ideas how I can bring that back?? BTW, I now need to use 3 steps to check the Stand Alone GPS block on my locations in order to use my Google Maps Navigator.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe volume stops working(no notification sounds, no ringtone, etc...) I'll press the volume toggle to attempt to check the volume and the volume screen will appear, however the level indicator is unresponsive. I press the volume toggle 2 or 3 times and the phone reboots. The sound will work for another 3-4 hours then the same issue. VZW replaced the phone yesterday and the same problem has reappeared on the new device. Contacted Moto and VZW aggain today and was told to, once again, do a master reset.

I haven't had to use the toggle feature since the upgrade, because I've found the upgrade fixed my connectivity issues.But if you need it, here's the workaround:Dial (Hidden phone menu # Removed)RDownload an app (I use LTE OnOff from the Play Store: http://goo.gl/Pmm5v)Once you pull arrive at the screen, scroll to the "Set preferred network type" setting. View 1 Replies View RelatedI put the Motorola toggle widgets on my home screen (e.g. toggle data, wifi, bluetooth, GPS). I rebooted and they disappeared. I tried to re-add them. I can't. I can add toggle widgets from the Android Market. I can't re-add the Motorola widgets, but also, the space where they should be is not available to add another widget either. i.e. I've now got a dead/unusable space on my home screen.

The keyboard that pops up has both a number and related letters on each key, but no other 'special keys', How do I toggle between numbers and letters to write my password on this type of keyboard?

I'm at work posting on the bionic so making this short. I let my phone charge over night with oem wall charger i unplug it to go to the gym. Well i usually turn the lights on in my room. This morning i did not as i unplugged the bionic the backlight light up dimly. I let it sit i finally got tired of testing it the backlight stayed on indefinitely. I let it sit 5 min still on i have to push power button to wake and again to lock. So i was wondering if anyone noticed this it can drain battery i sometimes put phone in gym bag after charging without waking phone.
View 2 Replies View Relatedever since the 2.3.4. update i found my button hard buttons stay lit when watching videos. they used to time out after a min or two but now never time out. is this normal now and is there a way to shut them off when watching videos at night. it is annoying that they stay lit especially at night. i do not have the dx2 in a doc when watching the videos. just have it on wifi and watching cnet tv and Internet stuff.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy keyboard backlight has a mind of its own. This is not a short, or electrical problem. It just works when it wants to. Sometimes it won't come on. Sometimes it lights up and works fine. Sometimes it fades off while I am typing. Sometimes it just illuminates while sitting on the table. I use my Tour in lowlight conditions all the time. I simply want it to come on when I touch a key and go off a bit after I am done handling it. Of course I navigated all the settings and stuff. I know all that. I have all the setting and options for the keyboard backlight set the way I want. This feels like a software or programming glitch. It never flickers or acts like a short. It slowly fades in and out as it would if I touched a key, or left it sit alone. Everything else works perfectly. I just want the keyboard backlight to come on when touched. And go off after several seconds of inactivity.

The keypad remains bright, much brighter than the screen (especially as I set the background to black and the text to mid-grey).I'd love to be able to toggle off the keypad backlight somehow.I've found a sort-of workaround, where I go to the Clock and set Bedside Mode, then switch application back to Mobipocket - the screen dims and the keyboard turns off...
BUT only until I use the optical pad to swipe to the next page, and the keypad lights come back on and blind me. Is there any way to turn off this ugly keyboard backlight on my Vivaz pro? Or just fade it down, it doesn't have to shine so bright! + drains the battery, please put a on and off switch for the keyboard backlight in the next update, I have already turned off my 3g because my battery doesn't even last 1 day. And one more thing, I think it should be possible to chose if u want the display to auto rotate or just stay in landscape mode all the time. View 2 Replies View Relatedwhen I am using the qwerty keyboard (not touch screen) it is either not responding when I press a letter, or after several presses, when it does eventually respond, it displays a letter or character different from what I am pressing. Its basically to the point where my keyboard is useless. I have to hit the same key at least 5 times before it shows anything. It will sometimes skip letters that I'm typing and just display the next character. for example, I can be typing SLOWLY, hitting one at a time, spelling t-e-x-t and it will show up e-t, or something along those lines. Ill backspace to go back to the beginning to add in the missing letter and Ill hit T over and over and over till it eventually shows up, or some random character will show up.

My wife has recently experienced a bug with the stock Keyboard where it will phase in on top of her screen with out the keys (No letters) for no reason. She noticed it a few weeks ago and because it only happened once or twice thought nothing of it. Recently it has gotten progressively worse and seems to act up the most when her phone is in the Dock(Desk Top). She has not DL any Keyboard APs or any none market APs.

View 3 Replies View RelatedLooked thru the archives and couldn't find this topic. My DROID X started locking up last night when I was doing an email. It's locked up several times today, too. I've been trying to see a pattern to it. Email or text messaging, it's when I hit one of the punctuation keys. Either the period, question, or exclamation mark, each time. I've not put any new apps on my phone since Wednesday. Anyone else have this happen? Suggestions on how to stop it or fix it? Only way I could get out of it was to power it off, but this last time, I had to pull the battery as it wouldn't even power off.
