Motorola Defy :: Lags And Hangs On 2.2.2?
Jul 17, 2011i recently got my phone updated to 2.2.2. and m gettin real bad lags. i even got an app called memory booster and it says in every 10-15min my ram usage become close to 80%. insipte of closing the apps they seem to keep running. any way i can reduce or even stop these lags?

May 18, 2011have been using my defy for a few weeks now, waiting för 2.2 but, i cant get more battery time than about 36 h, and that whit no extra apps, everything i can fin is off except gsm what i culd read before i bought i was, up to 238 h time i can accept poor batterytime if i use it a lot and whit bt,wifi,gps and more things on and running, but havint it as a normal phone an charge it every night is, about back to 1995 and my first gsm phone what is possible to do to get more batterytime?

Nokia :: 5800 Auto Reboots Every Two Hours And Hangs Often
Jun 18, 2010I bought a new Nokia 5800 express music less than a week ago. Right from day one I got problems like auto reboot and mobile hang often. My phone came with software v 40.0.0.005. I took it to the showroom where I bought this phone and they advised me to update latest software and that will solve the issue. I updated to v 50.0.005. But within another one hour I ended up with same problem. I am seeing pink horizontal lines before reboot. It automatically reboots while messaging and when I try to do something with maps. It hangs often when I see any video file. I took it to nokia care again but they formatted my mobile and installed v 50.0.005 but am having the same problem again. How do I solve this issue.Is there any option to claim for a refund?? Any option to replace handset?? Preferably different model? I find lot of problem in using this phone which is not user friendly.

Dec 2, 2011setting up auto-fetching applies to all email accounts. I swear on my 2.1 Spice XT300, the auto-retrieval was by email address (and also the smallest interval between fetches was 5 minutes, not 15 like on the Defy). I have never used 2.1 on the Defy; mine was original 2.2.1.

Sep 4, 2011I have had my defy now for a few months, and I have been pretty happy with it (babyproof smartphone!)Unfortunately, its becoming more and more unreliable, and am having to reboot it regularly.This weekend is the worst. Here are some of the things it is doing:
all apps keep freezing and crashing (no fancy apps, mostly use it for twitter, facebook etc).phone keeps freezing and being unresponsible on the home screen keep getting an 'emergency calls only' notification, which then clears straight away when i go into notifications.mms photos - both sent and received take up to 5 days to be visible. until then they are just flagged as 'downloading'. I'm pretty sure it shouldn't take 5 days to download a 27kb file.After rebooting, I did have a gmail widget require a forced close immediately. I was never using that widget anyway, and couldn't see it, so I uninstalled it. Now on rebooting I have to force close Google Services Framework. I have decided that looks reasonably important and useful and have declined to uninstall that so far.

Aug 2, 2011I have a my Defy & XT and as of 9:22 am the weather widget hasn't udated and I've turned the phone off and on etc and then I deleted my location and tried to readd it and it said something like.. location information cannot be found (not sure off hand).. I don't know what to do but it won't let me add any loactions but apps from the market work.

Apr 6, 2012For the past 2 days my battery has drained so quickly, and now my calorie/step count is all off. My battery was at 100% when I've taken it off the charger and drained much quicker than it has before, when I've just worn it as a watch/pedometer without workouts/music/heartrate off.
Now I noticed my calorie count is : 3525 and my step count is only at 1807, and no I'm not looking at it backwards.
On my sensor menu, it says my HRM is paired but not connected. THis is the only thing different (getting an Ant+ HRM and paired it) other than the Golf Upgrade that I've done to my MOTOACTV 8GB.
Motorola Xoom :: Overdrive Media Connector Hangs With 3.2
Jul 20, 2011Just installed overdrive media connector to 3.2, hadn't tried it in 3.1. The sample audio welcome file downloads and plays as expected, and program navigation is as expected.
Downloaded a few ebooks from our regional library, but the reader hangs when loading them after download. Uninstall/reinstall gives the same problem.
No online tech support from overdrive, no results when searched for similar problems. My phone is an evo 4g with 2.3, will try it when I have a chance.

Motorola Photon 4G :: Battery Lasts Only 4 Hours Without Any Use?
Dec 23, 2011I bought the Motorola Photon 4G in the U.S. but I live in Brazil. In the first 10 days of use it worked perfectly, had battery life of 36 hours with moderate use. After you update it to last OTA, I do not know if it was coincidence, the battery does not last more than 4 hours without any use. Already reset to factory rom, I used several methods to calibrate and the battery remains the same. The screen and battery get very hot when using the photon. I bought new batteries and charger and nothing changed. The interesting is that even disconnected the battery completely discharges within hours. I use the minimum screen brightness, WiFi, GPS, bluetooth and data are off. Right now I have only the factory-installed app, and yet the battery only lasts about 4 hours. The Photon is not sold in Brazil, therefore, have no guarantee nor an authorized service center for Motorola Photon. From what I see must be a hardware problem, does anyone know what might be happening?

Dec 8, 2011Alright I have a Droid RAZR, It just sits on my bed until Sandisk Releases the High speed microSD card for it, in a week or so. I cannot install the larger apps, and hence cannot use it. Now I keep it charged, and it just sits there with no service, but on. Now for the last day or two, the screen comes on and brings up the lock screen, like I pressed the unlock button, all by itself, then it turns off again, now wifi and all data connections are off, it just sits there. It does it if I had to guess 3-5 times an hour, but possibly more. And when I got home today, it was FLAT dead, plugging in the usb cord to the computer wasn't enough, I had to plug it into the wall (genuine charger) Let me know if you need any additional info

Jul 31, 2011In the past week, my battery life has gone down to about 5 hours from fully charged with little to no use. I checked my battery use and it shows that Cell Standby is at 61%. Time without a signal is indicated at 50%; even though I normally have 4 to 5 bars of 3G signal stength all the time.
I uninstalled several apps including anything I added in the last couple of weeks. No change. I did recently get an aftemarket Cellit USB car charger. Is it possible that I screwed up the battery by using this car charger?
I also checked my network settings as suggested in another thread here, and my phone was already set to "GSM Auto (PRL)"; which is supposed to give much better battery life.
Motorola Droid :: Phone Hangs/freezes After A Call And After Timeout?
Aug 14, 2011After completing a phone call or when the phone times out, it freezes and nothing will unlock it other than pulling the battery out. If I hard press the power button, the Phone Options screen will pop-up but none of the selection will work thru the touch-screen. While the [Phone Options] screen is open I can open the slide keyboard and use the mice-like button to scroll down and take the [Power off] option. Phone will work again after pulling the battery or powering it off thru the keyboard (at least this will save me the time of removing the battery).It seems that both actions (call and time out) send some kind to signal to the screen to lock it. When pressing the power button I will see the slide bar to unlock it but the screen is frozen and nothing will make it work. Luckily for Motorola the phone's warranty just expired (7/28/11).I have done both, Factory data reset and Wipe data/factory reset (Power key + "x") but nothing helped. I have looked out there in we but nothing similar.Does anyone have experienced this? - As you can imagine this is extremely painful and annoying. I ended up increasing the timeout to the max (30 minutes), but obviously jeopardized the battery life. I have to charge the phone almost every 2 hours.

May 16, 2011For the last month (since I bought it) my phone won't hold a charge for longer for 8 hours. This was on 1.26 and 1.57 and now on 1.83
Basiclly I am running corparte sync to Exchange and nothing else right now. I was running a live wallpaper and weather (turned off when battery would die) and same result no matter what I run. Heavy phone use or no phone calls. At my house I have a microcell, but work is low signal. Also Corp HQ where I spend 1 week a month has full H+ connection. All seem to last about 8 hours at all three locations. AT&T gave me a new battery and I have wiped 2 times in the last 2 weeks.
Here is what the battery manager says running after 6 hours.
Now look at the pics, Display seems really high. I am on auto brightness, and have a screen lockout of 2 minutes. This screenshot was from 6 hours of use. No phone calls, vibrate and no signal when picture was taken. Display was used 28 minutes of 6 hours of use.
AT&T just tells me to either wipe device or turn of push on snyc. 8 hours is not right for a new phone with no calls and light use.

Within two hours of it being up and operational my phone has froze up on me and is making noises as it's connecting to the dock when it's not near it. I called Verizon and they told me to do a master reset of my phone. After explaining to them several times I have done this twice already they said that there was nothing that they could do for me except send me another phone yet again.
