Motorola Cliq XT :: Facebook Photos Doesn't Sync In Motoblur?

I've had a problem where my facebook contacts were no longer displaying pictures and when happenings had picture posting; they were not being displayed. I finally figured out today that it had to do with me setting up my Facebook account to use https for security logins. Once I've changed my facebook account to no longer use the "https" and deleted and readded my facebook account on my cliq all of the contacts displayed the pictures again. Prior to trying this, I had reset my phone a few times, deleted/readded the facebook account and this is the only thing that finally worked.
how to have the photos be displayed on my phone and have the "https" set on my facebook account.
I know that some of my friends have updated their facebook photo, but it has not shown up on my device. It's been over a week for at least one in particular. Is there a way to cause blur to manually sync the contact photos?
My CLIQ is ready to go I think. I have had tons of issues, but this is the final straw. Now my facebook and twitter accounts don't appear on the phone anymore. I have added and removed the apps several times. I reinstalled the CLIQ software twice. But I can't fix the issue.
When I go to accounts, facebook and twitter are not listed. So I click on add an account, and the next screen tells me that both programs are already connected associated with my phone.
The status and happenings widgets don't recognize the accounts. I can't remove them. I can't add them. They are just in CLIQ limbo!
I recently rebooted to factory settings my Motorola Atrix (UK) - Android 2.3.4.Before resetting it, Motoblur was correctly retriving Twitter and Facebook messages. I was able to update both services status and leave comments on friends' status and messages.Following the factory reset, Motoblur can only post my status updates, it doesn't retrieve twitters from whose I'm following and Faceebook friends updates.Motoblur application is fully enabled in Facebook settings page.
Just want to know if there could be any other way in linking the contacts with my facebook account because there's no motoblur feature for defy here. Do i need to install a third party app to be able to link it?
This is what happened and I've been having troubles with my phone ever since.I was with my friend and I got really tired of my phone being so slow so I wiped it and cleared everything pretty much.I forgot my moto account name and password so I made a new Gmail and a new Moto account name.Now my facebook Contact pictures will not show up at all and I've called family mobile at walmart to see
of a sudden I couldnt go beyond the MOTOBLUR setup screen, I have all credentials correct but i get this message:"Logging into MOTOBLUR..." The progress bar reaches somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 of the way, and I get the following error message:"Error Signing Into AccountThe request timed out waiting for a response. The account may have been incorrectly created."
my motoblur cliq when off, and when i turned on restart screen apear, but it says that "your phone already has an account associated with it", but i can log on in my pc with the same account.
I upgraded my motorola click to android 2.1 based on the instructions provided through motorola's web page. I checked all faqs and troubleshooting and have not reached a solution. After the phone restarted I was instructed to log back in to motoblur and now it is saying "the account does not exist on the blur service". It is also saying that when I try to retrieve my password from the motoblur portal. I know I have the right email address for my motoblur ID, but it appears my account has just disappeared. I haven't tried calling anyone yet because I know I will get passed around back and forth from Tmobile to Motorola. It seems there is no way to retrieve a lost id in case I have the wrong one. I did however go into the phone before I did the upgrade and verify that the motorola blur id was the email address I thought it was.
I have CLIQ from last 6 months, I found its battery works around 15 hours while GPS, wifi etc. are off. I usually use for calls and check some emails (I do not reply those emails from mobile) only.From last 2-3 days its not charging properly, when I plug in for charging it stuck on some %, e.g. I plug in on 25% battery and even after half an hour I found it on 25% itself or 31%. (Some time battery % get down e.g. plug in on 15% and after 15 mins its on 12%)Also should this kind of mobile should have such kind of problems in 6 months only?
i actually dont have a Defy with the motoblur..however der was no option to select one without it...i cant sync my facebook accounts to the contacts list.

It has system version 45.0.82.MB526.Retail.en.GB, Android version 2.3.4 If I go to UK support, I can see an updated version 45.0.125, Android version 2.3.5

However, on the phone, if I 'check for system updates', it reports the software is up to date.
Since I have an issue with the software, I'd like to update it to check for a fix. I could probably use the USB updater, but is there some reason why the phone won't do it itself ?
So sometime yesterday BLUR started acting lame and not letting me post Facbook statuses or comments, I kept having to retry my email to load and it did eventually but I was trying to delete my Facebook account and re-add it and it said error so I did a factory reset because I haven't done one in months. Entered my BLUR password and email and BAM it keeps saying, Error signing in please try again and I'm freaking the heck out. I can't get on my phone! So I'm sitting here trying to sign into the BLUR site which loaded slowly and I get this and I keep trying to sign into the site, same message. I tried creating a new account on my phone and got the same error...
Can't get places & Check in to work on Facebook. Error : Every time I go into places to check in I get " The application Facebook ( process com.facebook.katana) has stopped unexpectedly. Pleas try again. Don't think I have it set up right.
I just noticed today that I have no more pictures (from facebook friends) in my phone contacts. This past weekend I had downloaded app "handcent".I don't kbnow if it's because of that app that the photos are no longer appearing. In any event I deleted the app. and still have no photos. I contacted T-Mobile and after several trys to syncronize, even deleteing factory settings I still don't have any contact photos.
I upgraded from the Cliq a few months ago. So I noticed when I link contacts together that it doesn't always keep the name of the contact that I open. It'll change it. Example: I open the contact "Dad" and then link another contact for him "John Doe" and then it will change the name from Dad (which I opened first) to John Doe. Why is it doing that? It did not do that when linking contacts in my Cliq
Does any one know of a way to sync my Thunderbird Contact list with my Addressbook of my Cliq? Be it a program on the computer or a site/addon for thunderbird/app for the phone (second way is prefered). I would rather not use gmail address book as my gmail account address book is messed up and I never use gmail (mail side) for any email so there is no reason to clean up that disastor.
On the s4 i had when i synced my photos from facebook to my phone it always showed my photos in albums, Now on my S5 it shows photos from facebook as a whole which is frustrating searching thru 2000 photos to find the one i want.
It appears that the Photos app (not the Gallery app) doesn't share to Facebook properly. I select a photo (or photos) and hit the share button, select Facebook. It thinks about it for a few seconds, then the Facebook post screen appears but with no photos attached.
If i do it from the Gallery app then everything works fine.
I just got this phone from someone who upgraded up. If I only want to use it for calls and texting and nothing else, should I update from its current system version 1.6 / Firmware version 1.5?If I wanted to do this manually, are system and firmware updates done separately and where are the download pages to do it manually?There are threads talking about how updates slowed down CLIQ MB200 phones. Do they slow down the basic functions of this phone? I see there are Android platform versions all the way up to 3.2. Is version 2.1 the last version compatible with MB200?Some threads compare updating this phone to installing Windows 7 or Vista on older computers - they would slow down basic functions on them so it's really not worth it to update. Is that comparison true when it comes to this first Android phone?
I have a Motorola Cliq updated to 2.1.5 through T-mobile.Up until this weekend, I had no problem getting Data pushed through whether I was in my area or my boyfriends area (his is non 3G and he does NOT have WiFi) ...I was at his place this weekend, and my Data ONLY pushed through when I was in a WiFi area and I had WiFi enabled.he problem is, now that I'm home IN A 3G AREA my Data STILL only pushes through when WiFi is enabled. I get NO INTERNET CONNECTION at all.I can't even get my phone to be recognized through the Motorola Troubleshooter now when it IS plugged into my laptop via USB ....Hoping to avoid a reset, even though I have everything synched through my Blur acct and Gmail
I inherited a Cliq 2 from my father-in-law and I have a T-Mobile sim in it right now. When I look at the system version, it is saying 1.1.28. From all the info that I've read, the latest version is 1.1.30. I've tried doing a system update from the phone, but it tells me that I am up to date.
So I just got my new Motorola Atrix and i love it. Except for one problem. The facebook does not seem to be working. When I first booted up the phone and linked my facebook account the social network widget did not work at all. it synced all of my contacts initially and used profile picture from facebook which i though was really cool, but then it just stopped working. All the photos are gone and the social networking widget still does not work. I tried going to my social networking accounts and facebook was not there. when i go to add another account the facebook icon has a green check next to it and when i try selecting it says that i cannot add another facebook and there is no way to delete it either so i can re add my account.
The screen has been cracked recently, so my brother took it upon himself to buy me a Cliq (MB200) from someone off CraigsList for my birthday. I am not sure if this is the route I would had gone but it's not like he can take it back now. Luckily it is a Cliq with a T-Mobile emblem on it, which is my carrier, so there shouldnt be any problems. And it appears to be in excellent condition.OK, time to transfer the SIM card.First, we cannot get the newly purchased Cliq to recgognize my SIM card. It is an old T-Mo SIM card that has been transferred from A Samsung T-719 purchased in 2007 to a BB Pearl to a BB Curve and then to the Cliq2 bought in 2011. I do have newer SIM cards that have never been opened or activated, so that could be an option. But the SIM works fine in my Cliq2. But in the newly purchased Cliq we immediately get the "Please insert SIM card" message on the screen.Yes, we did do a factory reset and then re-tested the SIM.Wi-Fi works.We were curious if the SIM Card can't be read until we go through the Motoblur registration.Also, can the Motoblur info just be transferred from the Cliq2 to the SIM Card or SD Card so I don't have to login on the newly purchased Cliq?I forgot my Motoblur password and it is registered with an inactive email address, so a password recovery via email is not an option. Should I just open a new Motoblur account? Will it let me connect the same emails and social media accounts as the old Motoblur account?
Anyway to sync the Facebook profile photos of my Live contacts on people hub? If my friend has a "Michael Jordan" name on Facebook and in my people hub his name is "Mike Jordan" how can I get his photo to be updated from his Facebook account?
How does one remove a facebook account (or any other social network account) from the motoblur account. Such accounts do not appear as seperate items in 'settings' > 'accounts' and opening the motoblur account (on the phone) merely shows the linked email address and password (unlike all other accounts it cannot be edited in any way).
