I know that some of my friends have updated their facebook photo, but it has not shown up on my device. It's been over a week for at least one in particular. Is there a way to cause blur to manually sync the contact photos?

This is what happened and I've been having troubles with my phone ever since.I was with my friend and I got really tired of my phone being so slow so I wiped it and cleared everything pretty much.I forgot my moto account name and password so I made a new Gmail and a new Moto account name.Now my facebook Contact pictures will not show up at all and I've called family mobile at walmart to see
View 15 Replies View RelatedI've had a problem where my facebook contacts were no longer displaying pictures and when happenings had picture posting; they were not being displayed. I finally figured out today that it had to do with me setting up my Facebook account to use https for security logins. Once I've changed my facebook account to no longer use the "https" and deleted and readded my facebook account on my cliq all of the contacts displayed the pictures again. Prior to trying this, I had reset my phone a few times, deleted/readded the facebook account and this is the only thing that finally worked.

I just noticed today that I have no more pictures (from facebook friends) in my phone contacts. This past weekend I had downloaded app "handcent".I don't kbnow if it's because of that app that the photos are no longer appearing. In any event I deleted the app. and still have no photos. I contacted T-Mobile and after several trys to syncronize, even deleteing factory settings I still don't have any contact photos.

I am talking about a wireless over the air contact sync's with my Outlook 2010 through an Exchange 2010 server.
So sometime yesterday BLUR started acting lame and not letting me post Facbook statuses or comments, I kept having to retry my email to load and it did eventually but I was trying to delete my Facebook account and re-add it and it said error so I did a factory reset because I haven't done one in months. Entered my BLUR password and email and BAM it keeps saying, Error signing in please try again and I'm freaking the heck out. I can't get on my phone! So I'm sitting here trying to sign into the BLUR site which loaded slowly and I get this and I keep trying to sign into the site, same message. I tried creating a new account on my phone and got the same error...
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy CLIQ is ready to go I think. I have had tons of issues, but this is the final straw. Now my facebook and twitter accounts don't appear on the phone anymore. I have added and removed the apps several times. I reinstalled the CLIQ software twice. But I can't fix the issue.
When I go to accounts, facebook and twitter are not listed. So I click on add an account, and the next screen tells me that both programs are already connected associated with my phone.
The status and happenings widgets don't recognize the accounts. I can't remove them. I can't add them. They are just in CLIQ limbo!
Is there a way for a blind person to assign ringtones to contacts usin the Cliq2. I am blind and working with an accessibility app called mobile accessibility. I can get to contacts through the applications list but can't seem to get it to work from there. I need to know how to select the contact and go from there. I can't find additional info thusly I can't do the rest.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Cliq xt from T-mobile. I switched to AT&T with unlock code provided by T-Mibile. All works fine except for contact list. I downloaded contacts from SIM and now contact screen is black. Worked fine with T-Mobile. I do not use social network, any idea what causes this. The contacts are in the phone because when i dial a number in my list the name appears on the dial pad, however, contact list is black.

Example: I open the contact "Dad" and then link another contact for him "John Doe" and then it will change the name from Dad (which I opened first) to John Doe. Why is it doing that? It did not do that when linking contacts in my Cliq

On the Cliq I never had this problem. On the Cliq2 when people update their FB default pictures, it doesn't sync and update them in my address book anymore. Motorola said it should but it doesn't. They offered me a new phone but hello this is my second Cliq2 that it hasn't worked on. Apparently it's not the phone. It's motoblur!
Does any one know of a way to sync my Thunderbird Contact list with my Addressbook of my Cliq? Be it a program on the computer or a site/addon for thunderbird/app for the phone (second way is prefered). I would rather not use gmail address book as my gmail account address book is messed up and I never use gmail (mail side) for any email so there is no reason to clean up that disastor.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm experiencing a problem with my contacts and trying to sync Facebook information. Before I would update my Facebook contacts it but the link to the Facebook profile and updated the photo. Now it's not updating photos and putting a "0" under Facebook field in the contact.
Just upgraded to iOS 7.1.2 to see if it was a bug fixed. You can see a sample on this screenshot below.
All my contacts are synced, Facebook profile pics show up on the contact list but Caller ID photos do not show for incoming/sending calls. Its just the generic picture. However Google+ profile pictures do appear in a small circle on the bottom left corner on a gray background.
PS: The problem started after the 5.0 update. I've already reset the phone and tried doing the update with PC Companion. Nothing works.
Is there a way i can tell my HTC one to take pictures from Linkedin instead of from Facebook for my contacts? As you know...some facebook pictures can be pretty out there.

If I only want to use it for calls and texting and nothing else, should I update from its current system version 1.6 / Firmware version 1.5?If I wanted to do this manually, are system and firmware updates done separately and where are the download pages to do it manually?There are threads talking about how updates slowed down CLIQ MB200 phones. Do they slow down the basic functions of this phone? I see there are Android platform versions all the way up to 3.2. Is version 2.1 the last version compatible with MB200?Some threads compare updating this phone to installing Windows 7 or Vista on older computers - they would slow down basic functions on them so it's really not worth it to update. Is that comparison true when it comes to this first Android phone?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Cliq updated to 2.1.5 through T-mobile.Up until this weekend, I had no problem getting Data pushed through whether I was in my area or my boyfriends area (his is non 3G and he does NOT have WiFi) ...I was at his place this weekend, and my Data ONLY pushed through when I was in a WiFi area and I had WiFi enabled.he problem is, now that I'm home IN A 3G AREA my Data STILL only pushes through when WiFi is enabled. I get NO INTERNET CONNECTION at all.I can't even get my phone to be recognized through the Motorola Troubleshooter now when it IS plugged into my laptop via USB ....Hoping to avoid a reset, even though I have everything synched through my Blur acct and Gmail

From all the info that I've read, the latest version is 1.1.30. I've tried doing a system update from the phone, but it tells me that I am up to date.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe screen has been cracked recently, so my brother took it upon himself to buy me a Cliq (MB200) from someone off CraigsList for my birthday. I am not sure if this is the route I would had gone but it's not like he can take it back now. Luckily it is a Cliq with a T-Mobile emblem on it, which is my carrier, so there shouldnt be any problems. And it appears to be in excellent condition.OK, time to transfer the SIM card.First, we cannot get the newly purchased Cliq to recgognize my SIM card. It is an old T-Mo SIM card that has been transferred from A Samsung T-719 purchased in 2007 to a BB Pearl to a BB Curve and then to the Cliq2 bought in 2011. I do have newer SIM cards that have never been opened or activated, so that could be an option. But the SIM works fine in my Cliq2. But in the newly purchased Cliq we immediately get the "Please insert SIM card" message on the screen.Yes, we did do a factory reset and then re-tested the SIM.Wi-Fi works.We were curious if the SIM Card can't be read until we go through the Motoblur registration.Also, can the Motoblur info just be transferred from the Cliq2 to the SIM Card or SD Card so I don't have to login on the newly purchased Cliq?I forgot my Motoblur password and it is registered with an inactive email address, so a password recovery via email is not an option. Should I just open a new Motoblur account? Will it let me connect the same emails and social media accounts as the old Motoblur account?

But now when i changed my memory card i also formated my phone. I took backup of contacts on sim card. after installing new memory card i imported my contacts back to phone and synced facebook once again with my phone contacts. This time they got synced too but their facebook profile pics are not becoming my contact pictures. I also tried enabling facebook inside xperia but still it didn't worked. Facebook allows users to call themselves whatever they want and unfortunately that is name that appears in my contact list instead of their proper name that I have put into contacts.For example, John Doe calls himself SuperJohn on Facebook and SuperJohn appears in my contact list, when that person calls or when I look them up to send a text message. Even after going into contacts and confirming their fname and lname is John Doe the phone insist on calling them SuperJohn. It wouldn't be so bad, but a Facebook name can be changed on a whim AND it makes voicedial impossible.

But i go to the contact and select edit so i can add the phone number and the phone says "facebook contact information is not editable on this device." i really dont know what to do.
