I've been ALL over my phone trying to figure out why my LED light won't stop blinking. It only starts when my screen blacks out, and the phone locks. I've checked calendars/tasks/texts/email/facebook/updates...turned phone off, then back on.

At the top left of my N8 there is this blinking envelope and the 'sim card full' msg. appears as I touch it. no contacts and no sms on the sim card. Contacts > Options > Memory > SIM Memory - shows 0 Contact persons and Free=500.All SMS msgs are deleted (no unread sms).How to have this blinking stop?

So I uninstalled the app and now the LED notification light does not blink when it is in screen off mode. It blinks twice when you lock it, then the notifications stop. HELP! View 8 Replies View RelatedI've had two Atrix phones since March of this year. The first one was replaced for an issue unrelated to the topic of this post. Both of these devices demonstrated the following behavior:
Approximately every 15 to 25 power cycles, when the Motorola logo starts to animate the phone's LED will begin to blink in one of several colors. It stops blinking when the Motorola logo disappears. The blinking color is most often violet-purple. However, on at least three occasions I've seen it blink light blue and on one occasion it was blinking red.
The blinking LED at this stage of system initialization appears to be a color coded reporting mechanism to indicate a particular state of the phone (perhaps a failure code reporting feature). I'm guessing it's similar to the POST beep codes that a personal computer emits shortly after powered on to indicate such things as device failures, driver loading issues, or configuration problems.
I would like to know what these colors mean during this stage of the phone's booting process. That is, when I see the flashing LED during the Motorola logo animation, I want to know which part of the system is failing. There's no information on the web (including within this forum) that I've been able to locate on this and Motorola technical phone support personnel seem oblivious to the fact that this blinking color reporting even exists.
how to learn what these codes mean? As I've mentioned, both of my Atrix phones have demonstrated this behavior, so I presume all Atrix phones are equipped to demonstrate it as well under certain conditions. It's hard to imagine that Motorola engineers would have implemented a feature like this and then provided no information to anyone about what the color codes mean to make the feature useful.
I just got my Atrix today and apparantly was just dumb enough to upload a contacts CSV file exported from MS Outlook to my Motoblur account. It synced with my new phone and made lots of multiple entries, etc. what a mess! Now I'm reading that I can synch a number of other ways including using Windows Mobile Device Center to sync with my Outlook contacts. Now how do I stop Motoblur from synching/updating contacts and clear the phone contacts so I can sync another way?

View 3 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, walking to my car this morning, my Atrix began to play an audiobook file (MP3). One that I had listened to days ago.
After months of using the phone and happily listening to audio books this issue has just occured this morning.
I swiped open the phone only to find that the (stock) music player was not actually running. Have not been able to find a way to stop the file(s) from playing.
Observations:
1. rebooting the phone simply restarts the playback of the file from its begining.
2. When the phone is sleeping (screen black), I have no control of the volume (as I would using media player)
3. If I swipe the phone to vibrate or silent, the playback goes silent (though I believe it continues playing)
4. I don't believe I have any ther media players installed.
5. Attempting to play a file in the (stock) music player, results in the file trying to play (the slider moves left to right), but only the audiobook is audible.
6. Have tried cycling power, removing battery, and ManageApps->clearing cache, and even uninstalling a number of downloaded apps - nothing helps.
7. I don't believe my phone vibrates any longer when I receive a notification for incoming text or email.
Having a few difficulties turning some of the annoying sounds off, even though I appear to have found the check box to delete the sounds.1. When the phone isn't in silent mode, how can I stop the typing sound whenever I'm entering text into an email or SMS?I've tried Home Page > Settings > Sound > and unchecked 'Audible touch tones'.Still makes the typing sound.2. Camera - can't stop the camera shutter sound in either silent or sound on mode.Have tried Home Page > Camera > Settings > and unchecked the 'Capture Tone' box. Still makes the shutter sound when taking a photo though.

View 10 Replies View Relatedi have had my Atrix since Nov. havent had any issues with it, until last week when suddenly the radio would stop working. it says i have signal, but i recieve nothing nor am i am able to send anything (text, email, calls, etc) but i have signal. i havent downloaded any bad apps. i also have Norton to "protect" me against bad apps. is there anything that i can do? i have no warranty anymore so will rooting my phone help? also im patiently waiting for ICS but growing more impatient by the day. wish they would give us a little update.

It isn't even monthly. It's just occasional.So how can I stop the Motohelper software from loading every time I start my computer? Is there a way to just start it when I need it? Turn it off when I don't need it?

Then it start working fine. idecide ibetter hook up my phone[usb] to my laptop. To tranfer the pics n files over to the lap top it said that media link was not working so i try to repair it threw my control panel> program/freature> motorola Media Link Repair which it didnt work. so i unstalll it. rebooted my visa. restall it and it still not working now . Ever since, my light is blinking like there is something I need to check, but I have gone in and been through every app and even the hidden folders and can not find any notifications. I synced all songs in my iTunes with my new Motorola Atrix 2. It downloaded all the songs to my 16gb microsd card. When I play songs on my music player with my headphones, the music will stop randomly. Some other times it won't stop and will play for a long time. I had a feeling it was somehow related to turning the screen off using the power button after I start my playlist but I am not sure about it. Again with this case, sometimes it stops and other times it would play correct. There are some apps as on my auto-end list but music player isn't one of them
