my car has two slots for the car charger. One without a label and the other one labelled with 12V. When I plug it into the one without label my phone discharges even when plugged in, when I use music player and maps. Is that normal? I havn't dared to use the 12V one yet... can I do that or will it kill my phone? And if I can use it: Will it charge my phone even when I use it or will it be no help to switch the slot?

View 1 Replies View Relatedrapid recurrence of the "Disconnected Unplug your charger from the outlet to conserve energy" pop-up message on their Atrix homescreen? The last few days I've been getting this pop-up message quite often (every couple of seconds to sometimes a minute or so apart) while the phone is still plugged into the A/C wall charger. Occasionally it will remain on the screen for minutes at a time, and in fact one time I was able to catch a screenshot of it. The charge cycle is usually complete (90% to 100% indicated). Everything is stock - battery, wall charger, and non-rooted phone on 2.3.6. This is not a loose connection, as I've checked that. It seems to have started occurring around the time the Market was replaced with Google Play Store, and the subsequent update to 3.4.7 which fixed the App Drawer icon issue. Don't know why this would cause what I'm seeing, but just though I'd mention it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI usually plug into a computer whenever I am at work or a lot of time at home, but I have recently discovered that I cant charge off my wall adapater anymore. I have tested multiple wall chargers, as well as multiple cables, and while they all work on a computer USB port, and the chargers can charge all my other devices fine (including a HP Touchpad that has higher power reqs than the phone), the phone refuses to charge off the wall. I have gone into the Android recovery and did a factory reset as well as clearing the cache, but no go.

This happens both with my 12V to USB adapter plugged into my motorcycle and with the home charger from Motorola. Also, I lose the settings for my home wireless and have to re-enter everything. I've gotten notifications that I'm using up my data plan because I lose my wireless and emails then start downloading over the cell network without my knowing it. I'm about ready to get rid of the so called smart phone and go back to my basic cell phone.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI just received a replacement refurbished flipside that came with a micro SD Card that was NOT already pre-installed in the phone. When I went to try to put it in, it doesn't fit right! It seems to be too small and moves around too much in the slot. Am I just doing something wrong? How is it supposed to fit in that slot? There is a little rubber tap that says "Lift Here" -- I do that and put the micro SD Card in the slot, but the card is just to small!
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just sent my Xoom off on a repair ticket because when I went to put in the SD card, I goofed. I did not realize the clear plastic "fingernail" was holding the SD slot. I tried to put the card in and it slipped under the appointed slot and got stuck inside the Xoom.if you haven't inserted your SD card yet, don't do what I did. There is a clear plastic tab that must be removed from the slot for the SD card. get the card back with the Xoom. It worked fine even with the stuck card, but the dust cover wouldn't go back on.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI did the Jelly Bean update on my two month old Atrix HD yesterday. Then my apps started closing on their own and then the homescreen started doing the same thing. Tried to do a FDR and I have the little android guy on my screen now with what looks like a rotating atom in his belly and a blue progress bar below him. Been like this for several hours now and I even tried calling the Motorola people and I'm still where I was. Can anyone offer a solution before I take it back to where I bought it from to see if they will even replace it? I did the holding down the volume buttons simultaneously and then the power button, got the motorola logo and then goes right back to this annoying little android guy with the rotating atom in his belly.

I am looking for a Dual USB car charger that will work with my motorola phones. I want a charger that will charger both of my parents phones (Moto Q and a Razr) so that they dont have to carry 2 chargers. All of our phones are usb B and I have lots of data cables but I cannot find a charger that will charge them. I have a Q9c and mine shows unaauthorized charger when plugged into a car driven usb port. In the PC they all charge just fine.Does anyone know of a good charger that will charge these phones?? I am assuming that it is the same problem that iPhone users have but I am not sure, and I am sick of buying USB chargers that dont work.

Mine pushes in till the metal post stops but that leaves around 3/16th of an inch of the post exposed. This scares me that it will break off in the device. My wall charger pushes all the way in till the plastic base touches the xoom. Could I have a bad car one?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm using my charger to charge my phone (as opposed to plugging it in charged), the charger gets really hot (~160 degrees fahrenheit), it makes a quiet hissing noise, and if I smell the USB ports, I can smell "the short-circuit smell" faintly. I'm wondering if this is normal, as the charger has been doing this since I bought my phone. (It's the charger they provided to me with the phone).

I've had it less than a week and it was working fine previously, but last night it somehow died (even though the battery was almost completely charged that morning) and I've had problems charging it. I have it hooked up to my computer via the original USB charger but it won't charge. The charging/notification light turns white, then green, then it starts up. It takes me to the lock screen and says "Charging 5%", then it turns off and repeats this process. I have the correct drivers installed on my computer.I'm not a really big tech-geek

When I wake up in the morning the phone has already powered itself on. You would think it would remain off and charging until I press the power button to turn it on. Is there a setting or something that would trigger the phone to power on when it reaches full charge?
