View 15 RepliesI just sent my Xoom off on a repair ticket because when I went to put in the SD card, I goofed. I did not realize the clear plastic "fingernail" was holding the SD slot. I tried to put the card in and it slipped under the appointed slot and got stuck inside the Xoom.if you haven't inserted your SD card yet, don't do what I did. There is a clear plastic tab that must be removed from the slot for the SD card. get the card back with the Xoom. It worked fine even with the stuck card, but the dust cover wouldn't go back on.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have bought a usb-to-microusb adaptor wihout any luck at all. I mean the adapters seem the right ones, although they are not the otg type. It is just a standard female-usb-to-male-micro-usb adaptor.I`d like to be able to defenitely replace my laptop with my xoom for obvious reasons.Since i already own 3 usb hard drives (usb-powered, no power cordf). Each one a 500 GB unit.Since the xoom comes equipped with a micro-usb input, it seems that a sensible use for it would be any usb external drive, like the WD Passport series or even a std usb flash card?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a US WiFi only Xoom with a weird network issue. Whenever I leave it at home when I go to work, I come back to a gray wifi indicator. I'm still connected to my router and can access things internal to my network (like my Sonos system or router), but can't get to anything external (such as pinging an IP address or doing a DNS lookup).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just set up MotoCast, and it's pretty awesome (I had no idea, because I have been using doubletwist this whole time). I do have two questions about downloading music to the phone via MotoCast.1.) Is there a way to designate downloads to go to the External SD card instead of internal memory? It seems like it will only go to internal memory until you max it out and it gives you the option to move things to the external card. This seems like a silly step, couldn't it just go directly to the external card?2.) My music displays in playlists when streaming from my computer, but when I select download a playlist and disconnect from the computer (in a no-data environement) the playlist disappears and all of my music is just dumped into the app unoragnized. Is there a way to maintain the playlist after data is dropped and you can't access your computer?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI do have a question regarding my Xperia Z3 Compact memory card slot max. read/write speed. I tried to find out from the Hungarian and UK technical support, but no hope, none of them knows the answer. Quite embarrassing they don't know the information about a product that they design and sell.
So i would like to buy a 64GB micro card but if the phone cannot read/write for example 90 mb/s I would rather not buy that fast card.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI would like to view documents on the Xoom. Most are PDF, some are Word. I moved quite a few documents onto my new external SD card in hopes of viewing them as needed. I am able to view small PDF documents (86k) but when I try to view larger ones(~200k 7pages) I get "Out of Memory" error. I am currently using Acrobat Reader as my default PDA app. I'm a little perplexed as to how I can watch a full length movie but can't look at a somewhat modest document.
View 5 Replies View Related I've encountered with my Xoom FE.I have no pictures, music, or videos at all on the device - only apps.I added up the total of every single app including data and cache and it only takes up a small fraction of the devices storage.when I checked the storage in the settings, it says I only have 4.15GB of the available space and that my apps are taking up 7.28GB.There is just no way I can see how that is possible.I should have the majority of the available space left.I could do a factory reset but that would bite.Is there anything I'm missing that I can try to figure out why it's showing up so much app space?Even with the caches and data cleared, it doesn't help. Also, I have a few downloads in there but they take up very few MBs much less a GB.
One other thing I have nearly the exact same apps with ebooks and a few games on my Galaxy Nexus and my older and smaller but trusty HTC Flyer tab. They both show my apps taking up a fraction of the space that my Xoom FE does.I use AndroZip Pro as a file manager and it shows the same thing so something is up.
Is it possible to move an app to the 32gb internal memory from main memory. I know that the external sd card is read only but why can't you move an app from main memory to internal memory like you can with a phone? The move to sd card is always grayed.

How can you put mp3s on both internal and external memory on the VX8560 (Chocolate 3)? I filled up a 8gb card, and everything works fine with no mp3s on internal memory. When I drop mp3s in the internal memory Mymusic folder using bitpim, the phone suddenly ignores all of the mp3s on the card, and only shows the ones in internal memory. I've had horrible luck with using the Vcast software, so I'm hoping that's not the answer. I also tried transfering from the card to internal mem using the phone, but during the transfer the phone said the songs had illegal titles (I'm guessing because I have very long file names - because I put artist, album, song all in the title). Then it showed that none of them transfered over. Anyhow - any help much appreciated.
This is my actually my second VX8560 - lost one a month ago on a mountain bike ride, and decided to just get the same phone instead of something different because this one is perfect for me (a lot to do with the phones small size).
