View 6 RepliesJust curious how the "In-Pocket Detection" works on the Bravo. Anyone know?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI turned it on, but now since I upgraded to the current version OS, I cant find it under settings ---> display. I am having a problem with my screen shutting off randomly, and I think this is the culprit, I just can't figure out how to turn it back off.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIt does work correctly when i put it in my pocket it does shut the screen of, When i see the problem is using the phone in portriate mode. it will just shut the screen. Seems to happen whent he phone is straight up and down ti will just lock the phone. i can unlock it and it goes straight back to locked. I have my screen time out set to a minute, and since i disabled it a few days ago i haven't had the issue. and also seems like the setting may be related to pulling down the notifications bar. It kind of makes me think my finger is hitting the light sensor that makes the phoen think it is in my pocket. Maybe that setting needs increased to a few seconds before it locks. Or maybe we just need an option under in pocket detection to set our own preference in seconds from 1 to 10. Either way wanted to report the problem and see if others have noticed this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm thinking that it should be able to sense darkness and turn the screen off. I have it checked and don't know if I'm impatient but you would think a couple of minutes should be enough time. I had screen timeout set to never so I tried it with a timeout set. I was thinking my shirt pocket was not dark enough so I put it in my jeans, still nothing. I even tried sticking it under a pillow and still nothing.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm yet to have this phone delivered but I'm looking forward to it. I was thrille dto hear that Nokia do updates which can also enhance this phone's cameras which is really cool. My question is if Nokia could make an update that gives the phone Face Detection, Smile Detection, and all those other modern camera features? It seems unlikely to me but I was just wondering if they could do this, and if they, can they do it soon.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else noticed that if you move the display brightness setting all the way to the left, the display still looks plenty bright? Like you would expect it look if you moved the slider to the middle but not all the way to the left?
I'm trying to lower the brightness to save battery and also save my eyesight when using in a dark room. But the ATRIX2 seems VERY limited in its ability to dim the backlighting of the display. Any firmware updates to fix this on the horizon??
If you use RoadRunner and are having trouble setting it up to send using your Motorola Atrix 4G, you should do this:Go to the Outgoing Server section for your roadrunner email account on your cell phone. For SMTP server - Enter m[URL] (Do not enter anything else. Do not put "smtp-server" in front like you do for the incoming POP3 set-up)For Port: enter 25 For Username: Enter your complete roadrunner address For Password: Enter the password you use for that roadrunner address Press "OK" Press "OK" again I would then go to that Roadrunner account and send out a test email. I put the following in my test:I sent it to another RoadRunner account (I have 5 RoadRunner accounts so I sent it to one that I have not changed the outgoing settings for).In this email I typed on the subject line: From Cell to (something to identify the email address I sent it to) using the mobile-smtp.roadrunner.com setup. (I then put the time here)I put the same thing in the subject line.I did this so I would know what settings I used and the time it was sent. It was sent at the same time in lightning speed.
View 6 Replies View RelatedPrior to the GB update there was an option to trigger a Notification Sound only on receipt of the first email. Upon receipt of subsequent emails, the phone would remain silent. I cannot find a similar setting in GB.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had my ATRIX for 6 weeks now and I love it. It's my first smart phone and although probably not my last I expect to use it for a long time. My question/ observation deals with video play. Some sites show "postage stamp" that can be stretched while others show full screen automatically. Am I missing a setting to ensure full screen at all times?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Atrix 2 and initially set up a Corporate Sync account several months ago. I had no issues with this account until last week, when my Exchange server migrated.I tried adding the new server name, but that did not fix the problem. I was advised by my company (Microsoft) tech support to delete the Corporate Sync account and then re-create it.I proceeded to create the Corporate Sync account via Setting > Accounts > Add Account > Corporate Sync, but when I keyed in my information (Email address, Password, Domain, and Username) and clicked Next, I received this error:Sorry! The application Accounts (process.com.motorola.setup) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.I have restarted the phone numerous times, but this error still occurs. I haven't found any helpful information online thus far
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a way that, when setting a time on a calendar item, that the time can be locked?Example:When travelling, the time of airline flights is set when at home city.Phone is set to Auto Time, to display the system time. I.e., when travelling to a different time zone, the local time is used by the phone.Problem: The time in all calendar items are adjusted to the time zone travelled-to, not the value orginally set. Therefore the time of an airline flight is advanced (or reduced), and does not reflect the time that the flight actually departs.. a problem. One work-around is to leave the phone time setting to home time, but then the phone can't be used in place of a watch. Is there a setting in the calendar function that ignores current phone time?

One of the things I thought would be really amazing about having a Motoactv would be to check text messages without having to take my phone out of my pocket or backpack if I was on my motorcycle (not while moving.) Unfortunately I cannot seem to receive any of them on my Motoactv. I use a Droid X2 and use Handcent as my text messaging client. Is anyone else having similar issues??

View 3 Replies View RelatedI did the Jelly Bean update on my two month old Atrix HD yesterday. Then my apps started closing on their own and then the homescreen started doing the same thing. Tried to do a FDR and I have the little android guy on my screen now with what looks like a rotating atom in his belly and a blue progress bar below him. Been like this for several hours now and I even tried calling the Motorola people and I'm still where I was. Can anyone offer a solution before I take it back to where I bought it from to see if they will even replace it? I did the holding down the volume buttons simultaneously and then the power button, got the motorola logo and then goes right back to this annoying little android guy with the rotating atom in his belly.

A couple of days ago I had to a hard reset (all 3 stages) and since then the PC won't recognise my 5800 as a phone (in media transfer mode)..........BUT it now recognises the memory card as a proper computer drive (drive D, a second HDD which is now corrupted) if put into 'mass storage' mode!! It now appears on the Windows device driver as a 'portable device' and not under 'USB connections' as before.I've done a System restore on the PC to back before the phone reset with no success. And the phone behaves perfectly in all respects. The problem with the 5800 not being detected as a phone is that the C drive does not appear and so is not accessible.
