Motorola Photon 4G :: Selecting Multiple Emails For Deletion?
May 2, 2012I want to delete all emails between 2 dates. For example, from the 1st to the 15th of any month. Because my phone only recieves emails (does not synchronize deletions), I would like to delete groups of emails on occasion.I see the check marks next to the messages. I can select them individually, but I was looking for something along the lines of Shift-Click to select a range of messages.

Those pictures were very, very important to me and I was wondering if there was any way to get them back? Oct 17, 2011I'm having a bit of a problem with my email. I've set up a personal account to use IMAP. On my old phone, deleting items from my in box removed them from the server, but that's not happening now (using the default Mail APP). I noticed it was sending them to the trash and so I went into the trash folder, selected all the email and then tapped the "Delete" button. Nope. There were nowhere to be found on the phone, but they were still on the server (as I found out when I got home and connected via my desktop client.)I read a suggestion on a non-Photon specific forum that suggested to make sure the trash folder was set up to be a push synch, so I tried that.ere are my settings for the account:Data Push (not checked, but I've also tried checking this)Fetch schedule: every 15 minutesFolder sync: Trash - background; Inbox - background; deleted (which is an empty folder) - background

Sep 16, 2011Under the Tex Messaging List where you see all the contacts you've received messages from I am getting several duplicates, triplicates, etc...
For example, I send a message to my Chief and my message will not appear in the chat log instead it will create a new point in the Text Messaging. Lost?
Home Screen -> Text Messaging -> Contact Chat Log
Now however, if the contact first send me a message then I can append my messages in the Contact Chat Log and they will be syncronous. Otherer wise mine will always end up in another Contact Chat Log under Text Messaging.
I've tried rebooting, cleared my chat logs, and played with a couple of other settings. I even went through the painstaking reset to factory. I will not do that again EVER! We need a way to back up to the computer....
Is this a bug in 4.5.91.MB60.ATT.en.US on 2.3.4 Android? It started with this firmware update and hasn't gone away yet.

Jul 2, 2011how to be able to jump between mulitple pages/screens/applications? With my Blackberry, if I was on one page, I could click a button, and it would give me the option to go to the home screen and then anywhere else I wanted to go. Then, go back to the original application, and still be where I left off. I was uploading pics on Facebook, and I tried going back to the gallery page to preview the rest of the pics for possible upload, but when I hit the home icon, then menu, then gallery.....it kept taking me back to the Facebook notification page. I'm sure with the Android system, it is possible to do it (if the Blackberry can), I just can't figure out how.

Jun 27, 2011I've noticed that some times when I get text messages from certain contacts, the way it shows up on my informs me that it was sent to myself and X amount of people (and I can view those numbers/contacts if I have them). But what's annoying is when I try to reply to "said person" it replies to all contacts that recieve the message. Now if I hold down the message and get options, I can view the details and open the message/delete the message, and I can Reply to All... but it never lets me just reply to that person. There is no option for it. I just reply and they all get it.
Like I stated before, this is not every time I get a mass text message from someone. Some of my friends have iPhone 4s so I tested it last night with a friend sending out a text to two of us and when I received it there was no indication that it had been sent to multiple people. Also have another friend that does this a lot with his Droid 2, no issue with his either. I'm wondering if this is happening because of the way it's being sent to me (and others) but even if I can see who else it was sent to, I'd still like the option to just reply to one person.Any advice on this? I foresee people telling me to get another text messaging app though which makes me think AT&T/Motorola should really add a lot more features to their text messaging app just incase of the people that would like options..
BB Bold 9650 :: Help With Email Deletion
Jun 5, 2010I know I've had to do this before but for the life of me can't find where to change the settings. I used to have an option to delete e-mail on the handset or both handset and mailbox. Now, for some reason, it only gives me delete as an option. I like being able to delete on BB only for some things and on both for junk. I know it will come to me but you guys are faster.

Have set-up and works fine - i.e. I can download and read email on my phone.problem is that when I say delete from phone and server it tells me that it is waiting for deletion and never seems to diappear as an entry on my phone. Does anyone know why this is and how to delete these entries from your phone? Do these waiting for deletion entries take up much space on your phone ?

Apr 30, 2012I've recently setup my email accounts on my Iphone 3GS to use the IMAP protocol.I have 3 email accounts (different domains) all hosted with Ehosting.The problem I'm having is the same for deleted or moved emails, and only happens on the Iphone.Whenever I delete or move an email, it is removed from my inbox, and appears in the trash or deleted items folder, or the destination move folder on my Iphone.However when the Iphone next checks for email, the messages all reappear in the inbox (as read)If I delete or move them again, I end up with multiple copies in the deleted or moved folder destination on the iphne, for however many times I delete or move the mail.The deleted and moved folders on my Iphone, only organise themselves correctly once I check my mail on my mac, or windows laptop, and that deals with the changes made.The problem then starts all over again once the next series of emails are received on the Iphone.Very frustrating when your out and about and you continually receive mail prevously read, deleted or filed in your inbox (albeit read), and not able to access the mail from a mac or laptop.
On my mac (and a laptop) the mail accounts work perfectly with the imap protocol, behaving as I would expect deleted are moved the to the trash or deleted items folder, until such time as I permanently delete them.Messages moved to a different folder phsically move to that folder.Ehosting are suggesting it should work fine, and the problems lies with the Iphone, although I'm not convinced.As a test I also have a SKY.com email address which I never use, but last night I set this up on the Iphone.This is in affect a gmail account, badged up by sky.This account worked and behaved as I would expect on the Iphone (contrary to the problems others experience with gmail accounts), with deleted or moved messages, being placed in the correct folder on the Iphne, and not re-appearing in the Iphnes inbox on the next check for mail.Hopefully I've explained the problem with enough details for someone to offer a fix or resolution, and before anyone suggests it, I dont want to revert to POP emails.

These are all visible under the "Messaging" app (which I placed on the home page) and they have unread email counters at the top-right. I have setup my corporate account as my default on the "Email" app that's also on the home page. Aug 26, 2011I retired my Blackberry to get on board the smart phone train and after 2 1/2 weeks with my Atrix 4G I am barely able to use e-mail. I'm not a techie but fairly competent with a post grad education and spent over 2 hours with a true techno geek that could not find a solution that only after spending a couple hours in the local AT&T retail center with their gurus trying to determine if the phone was defective.
After reading dozens of posts on outgoing e-mail problems, there are so many different issues that I cannot believe AT&T can market this phone "for the business man" T can market this phone T can market this phone

Aug 2, 2012I just received my Atrix HD today, and it refuses to recognize my verizon.net email address! I'm completely frustrated as to what to do. Every time I try to configure the email it says my password is incorrect. But of course, I can connect to my email fine from my home network via PC and laptop.I was really looking forward to using this phone. If it is a technical issue between Motorola and Verizon, I'll have no choice but to return the phone.

Oct 26, 2011If I send myself an email from my computer to my phone I get it in a minute, but without any notification other than the LED. No sound even though I have the notification sound on in settings and the volume up.
Sending an email is another story. The phone says it is sending it, but last night I ended up going to bed after a couple hours without having received two emails going from my phone to my computer, both with pics. This morning I had finally received the emails and the funny thing was, the sent time would have been correct, even though my computer did not actually receive them at that time. They must have been in At&t limbo for a couple hours???
This morning same thing. I took a pic, sent it to my computer, and upon opening Gmail it says it is sending (in red), but I'm simply not getting it. Is this a phone problem or an At&t problem? It's a bad problem, I'll tell you that. I can't be waiting a couple hours for someone to receive an email.
In the meantime, I'm going to send myself an email without a pic and see if that goes through right away.
