I'm trying to add a new email account. The account is a hover.com email account.
I had added it when I first got the phone. It told me that I was successful but I do not see it. When I attempt to add the account again, I get the message "The account has already been added"
Other than going to the Accounts list, is there somewhere I could check to see of the account actually exits? Is there a way to over-write the account?
i am trying to set up my my phone again after i got it back from repair sevice. i put in my second motorblur acct which i after used my 2nd email from yahoo.com. i try to add my main yahoo email to my account and it is not let me add it """it telling me login to the account failed,please try again"". i check the spelling and password it work on the pc and it work and on browers on atrix.

The prior gmail account I was using is beginning to be inundated with spam and it has got to go.After searching I've found this: go to home. Click grid. Click all apps. Click email. Enter a new email, pop etc. There is no option for anything of the sort and from that point the grid button doesn't do anything. an error has occurred. please try again. what it keeps telling me when i try to sign in. i did a factory reset on my motorola atrix an when i try to set up my account using my existing account and when I type my info. in thats what it keeps telling me "an error has occurred". Also it wont let me register my product which is my motorola atrix phone.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI inadvertently activated the AT&T address book when I first got the Atrix 2..not knowing that I even had an AT&T address book account.I called AT&T and they deleted the account and any associated contacts with it on their end,however, they had no clue how to remove the account from the phone and said it was a Motorola issue.I deleted all contacts off my phone and now my contacts are just synced with Google(all AT&T address book contacts are gone) but the option to sync with AT&T address book is still an option in settings.The account shows up with a "locked" symbol next to it.

I deleted the account, rebooted and readded the account back, however the account name now has a 1 after it (shown at the top of the email list) and the account does not show up under Settings/Accounts. Lets say if I have a new email i would like to use and would like to delete the old one off my iphone but it has all of my contacts on it, how do i transfer those contacts, notes, and calendars, to the new email account?
keep in mind that if i delete the email acount with the contacts, the contacts will no longer be on my phone as well as the notes. is there a way for me to transfer the contacts from the old email account to the new one so i can remove the old email account? too much spam.
