Why has some of my tiles stopped working, tap the tile and the screen appears to try and open in the app but then flashes back to the tile page. example if tiles not working Google search, Nokia maps and Navcon, facebook but things like Bing and paypal are working fine.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a lumis 1020, I have 3 email accounts, gmail, outlook and live. When i was on w8.1 i had 3 seperate tiles for email. now I have upgraded to w10, I only have one tile and have to manually switch accounts.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought my 1020 and was working just fine, but after 20 days, the camera stopped working. This is what I did after it:
1) I tried a hard reset and it worked for a couple of hours
2) I tried a soft reset and it worked for 1 day
3) I noticed that when I changed the date to the past and turned it off, the camera strated working for some hours.
4) I don't have a warranty, because I bought in USA and here, in Brazil, they don't accept the warranty. Even so, I took it to the assistence. They updated the software and, after 1 day, it stopped working. AGAIN!!! They said to me that if it crashes again, probably it would be a hardware problem, but they don't know how to fix it, since 1020 is new in Brazil.
The Speech recognition on my Lumia 1020 has stopped working. I can use the phone (so I don't think it's the mic) I tried with a headset also but I just get the message "Sorry couldn't hear anything, try saying....." - everything is set in Settings, but it just won't hear me..

The camera has recently stopped focusing on closeup shots, like taking a picture of a check for mobile deposits. It does this on manual and auto focus. It used to take perfect pictures. I have even done a factory reset on the phone to no avail.

I have watched the videos, pretty self explanatory. Well its not working on my 1520, I have the latest update. Everytime I go to check for updates it says my phone is up to date. I have read through the WPCentral article, and alot of people love it. I think I would love it to, makes finding apps alot easier!
why they are not grouping? When I stack them onto each other, the bottom tile just moves away. I am not real computer literate, so no fancy stuff, unless you can lay it out in plain English.
Tiles jumping on home screen.They go up and down on the screen , touch screen doesn't respond. Only way to fix is to reboot the device ...

I linked my two personal accounts (G mail and Outlook) and renamed them as "personal email", then I kept my work email as a separate account. I could pin them as two different live tiles on the start page. It was great. So far, I have not been able to do this with the 950. Is this a "lost feature"?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAt time i have to double tap 4-5 times before my Lumia 1020 reacts and wakes up. And it can be really slow. My previous Lumia 820 had no issues with this what so ever, it work up instantly and i never had to do multiple double taps.
It's actually completely useless like this (since it ain't double tap but sometimes tap'extravaganza).

My phone's screen turns black a number of times now. Navigation keys are working and lights up. I can still hear the alarms and notification sounds. It sometimes takes more than 24 hours to resume to its normal function itself. Soft reset (vol down + power button) is a hit and miss and most of the time I'm getting the screen below.
I tried to connect the phone to a PC but it did not recognized because the phone is locked. I don't know if there's another way to unlock it.
My flash suddenly stopped working on Sunday evening.
I was tweaking the manual camera settings, and then a few minutes later it would not flash. The assistance light turns on, but then nothing - the pic takes without flash. I don't know if it's a coincidence that the flash stopped working just after trying to discover the manual settings, or if somehow that has affected the flash.
I tried resetting all of the manual camera options first (to auto). I then tried "using default settings" in settings, then tried "camera reset" in photos+settings, then restarting my phone, then a soft reset, I even tried uninstalling and re-installing the Nokia Camera app. Nothing has worked.
After having received the Denim update, my Nokia 1020 cannot connect anymore with my windows PC; the PC does not 'see' my phone anymore. Tried to connect my phone with another PC, same problem.

Anytime I use it, all I get is the We can't connect to search right now, check your cellular data or Wifi connection. Please try again later.
I tried a soft reset, hard reset, took it to the AT&T store cause the windows phone rep said its hardware but when I got to the AT&T store they showed me on their 1020's in store and also their demo ones they use that the music app did the same thing.
Update to cyan and have their 4th column of tiles go missing? I've looked in the settings menu but can't find any options to alter this configuration.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a 1520(used to have a 1020) and my brother has a 1020. Of course i have to deal with her complaints when something goes wrong since i pushed her to a Lumia 1020 ....
What happens is, for whatever reason WIFI just randomly stops working. It'll show she is connected(both in the Icon at the top where you swipe and under settings/wifi) yet it doesn't actually load anything.
She'll be searching on Bing, Facebook, etc etc and she'll get the loading dots at the top of her screen that'll run endlessly. I have to then go into her settings and turn off wifi and then back on and it'll start working but then eventually it does it again shortly where there is no data or whatever.
The double tap to open quit working it was working for me on my Nokia Lumia 1020 don't know if I turned it off some how can't seem to find it it the settings

Ended up with awful out of focus shots, friends Iphone pics were fab. So fed up, I nearly missed the pics altogether because of the loading screen.

View 5 Replies View RelatedLast night I charged my L1020 with the camera grip together as usual, but this morning I found my 1020 not booting(tried soft rest and it didn't respond, seems that the battery is 0%). Something odd is that when I plugged the wall charger in the camera grip, it didn't respond. When I pressed the battery button for 2 seconds, it flashed twice with 4 led on(the led flashes darker then usual, which is really odd).

I went ahead and approved it and it ended up being the Windows 10 Mobile upgrade. The upgrade went smoothly. For some reason Windows Maps will not launch. This is also affecting the HERE app.

As I am still on WP7 and my Daughter lives a little ways away from me, I decided to throw it out there if there is something in the settings in WP8 or on the L1020 I do not know about which kills the spell check. She has not red line under mispelled words and no suggestions as she types.

1. I can no longer hear any notifications, or alarms.
When I navigate to settings>ringtones+notifications>and try to set my ringtone, I can't even get a preview of the sound. When i press the preview/play button, i get backed out into the settings menu again.
2. When I am typing a text and someone else texts me, I get backed out into the main menu/ metro pane menu.
Noticed these problems with OS version 8.10.12382.878
I tried a soft reset and a hard reset (factory), but it didn't work....
