I received a text message that says "Media content in this message".
When I select it, it says "Get Media content now (1kb)".
When I select that, it says "Getting media content... (1kb).
But I do not see the media content!
Lost my phone recently and now have a replacement. Kids are texting me pics of my grandchildren which I am unable to download. The latest text I got reads "Get media content now (174KB)" which is underlined as a link. I tap on the words and then get a message "Getting media content (174KB)". It shows that for a minute or two and then goes back to the first message. Is there something in the "settings" that is causing this problem?

Received my Lumia 920 a week ago, I have been fighting with Vodacom in South Africa for 5 days now around getting MMS working. Vodacom say its Nokia who have to provide me with the MMS settings but I cannot find any solution to getting MMS working on the Vodacom network. If I try send a MMS, I get an error saying my message cannot be sent and when I receive a message it says "Get media content now", if I click on the message, the phone reports "getting media content" it plays a sound but nothing further happens, I then receive repeated notifications saying "Get media content now" about 10 or 15 times over a period of an hour?

When I click on it I can't get the content of the message. My family has tried enabling SMS on their phones but it has had no effect.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought a brand new renault clio with the medianav system on board. Whenever i am streaming music over bluetooth to the car it has serious skipping issues. Like it will be practically unrecognisable as music, however if i pause and then play again it will work but there is always occasional skipping throughout the song. The thing is music plays fine over my bluetooth speaker at home so i don't think its actually the phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter being a huge advocate for Windows Phone I'm just about done with it after moving from WP7.5 and Zune to WP8.I can't sync anything using Windows Media Player. I put stuff in the sync list and it looks like it syncs then I check the sync status and everything has "error" in the status and nothing has copied. Doesn't matter if it's songs I own or subscription - nothing syncs through media player. I think I did get it to sync to my wife's 620.
According to MSFT this will not let me sync Zune subscription which is another issue I have - and the biggest issue is that I can't sync playlists period. They show up with 0 songs when I sync using the Windows Phone App. But I was hoping using Media Player might solve that but it's not working.I'm using WIndows 7 on my PC. I'm a long time Zune user/promoter. Right now I can't get music on my phone in any reasonable fashion.

When I scroll up and down slowly text gets a little blurry, maybe even slightly laggy? Text on my 920 was perfect. I thought the 1020 had a pure motion HD + display and scrolling text should be super smooth but its not. Is this because its amoled and not LCD like the 920? Is this a bug or defect on my display? Or something that can be fixed with a display & touch update?

I just got my 9650 yesterday. The saleswoman inserted my media card from my Tour (which had also been in my Curve 2). Everything seemed fine. This morning when I connected my Bold to the computer, I got a pop-up box on the BB which said, "Content rights do not match the device. Please insert the media card back to the right device."What's this all about? Nothing seems to be amiss with my media, although my pics do seem to be a bit slow to load when I try to view a whole folder.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have tried every combniation of settings I can think of, but I am not able to get my phone (920, developer version from BUILD) to vibrate when I receive a text message.
Currently it vibrates, but plays no ringtonw when I get a call. This is what I want. Howver, when I get a text message it simply shows a toast noification, but no vibration or sound.I have compared every setting I could find to my previous HTC WP7 handset, which does vibrate on SMS.
I have gone in the ringtones Setting screen and turned off the ringer and turned on vibration. How do I make this work? I feel like it must be something staring me in the face that I am not seeing.
I, like several others are having issues with getting text messages from the cloud onto my new Lumia 950 which I've had for about 4 days now. As of this moment it's still stuck from January 2013 and it hasn't taken this long before so it could be a server side that's been causing the issue. So I tried using the Transfer My Data app to transfer text messages and whenever I pair them it doesn't allow my Lumia 920 to transfer texts only contacts.
Is that because it's using an old Bluetooth that doesn't allow transfer, but I paired it the opposite way and it transferred over my Lumia 950 texts onto my 920... . So I tried using the contacts+message backup app by uploading the text backup using OneDrive and then downloading that onto my Lumia 950 but that wouldn't work either since the restore option was grayed out.
Is there a way to lock a text message so it won't get deleted?

So I have contacts that have two numbers with *31# and without.... But when sending txt message it tries to use this *31# number and text messages don't go anywhere... View 18 Replies View RelatedI have to open the messaging app to see if anybody has texted me. I've missed 2 very important time sensitive text messages already that have burned me.
I also have a band 2 (hate how it manages messages), but this problem occurs even when bluetooth and band 2 is off/not connected.
Nothing shows up on glance/lock screen even if I have messaging chosen to show quick status.
For some reason the order in which my call log and text message is laid out seems really which and not in chronological order as one might expect. Most recent calls are somewhere in the middle?? Is there a way to control this order int he settings somewhere?
