Lumia 1520 :: Not Receiving Text Message Notifications
Jan 25, 2016I have to open the messaging app to see if anybody has texted me. I've missed 2 very important time sensitive text messages already that have burned me.
I also have a band 2 (hate how it manages messages), but this problem occurs even when bluetooth and band 2 is off/not connected.
Nothing shows up on glance/lock screen even if I have messaging chosen to show quick status.

Oct 16, 2015The text messaging app gone missing after a soft reset. This on windows 10 build 10536. There was lots of apps in the store listed error and could not install, so I did a soft reset. Everything is backed on and few app still could install with error code.
The main problem now is the text message app gone missing. The button display as 'Microsoft messaging', when I click on it says need to download an app then direct to store, but then nothing happens.

Jul 26, 2014I've had issues on WP 8.1 and 8.1 DP where the lock screen will jitter when attempting to unlock phone by sliding up. It doesn't always happen but enough where its worthy of complaint.

Oct 14, 2014I'm running the latest Dev preview so I have Cyan. I had an event on my calendar for last night. It starting showing the day before, awesome, but today it won't go away. I even restarted the phone, no dice. Deleted yesterdays event from my calendar, still there.
Having issues with the lock screen and calendar events with Cyan? I did a hard reset after doing the Cyan update and I did not restore from a backup. Also my calendar item in question was one I put into my phones calendar and does not come from my sync'd email account calendar or anything.
Lumia 1520 :: Power Button Won't Lock Phone
Dec 19, 2014Just started happening today. I go to lock my phone and it does nothing. Still powers off if I hold it down, but won't lock screen.
Also all of my quick toggles disappeared from my notification center. Just left blank grey spaces. Tried setting them up again, but no go, still blank spaces. Restarted phone and that didn't work. Hard reset is completely out of the question.
AT&T 1520 with dev preview, cyan.
Just as soon as this posted the toggles were back. Not sure what happened there.

I am now trying sync/download on Nokia 1520 (purchased yesterday) - every time I try and download a song, I am reminded that " You are already downloading songs on the maximum number of devices allowed. You can manage your devices by going to Mange Music Devices in Xbox Music Account Setting".I have removed the iPhone but every time I try and download a song I get the same reminder to "manage devices" and every time I go back into account settings.. All devices registered are still there.

Dec 14, 2015I am running Windows Phone 10 latest build on a Lumia 1520. Everything was working great except I had an issue with my bluetooth connection in the car so I decided to do a reset on the device to see if it would fix the problem. After the reset, the problem was fixed, however I have 7 apps that will just not install. I keep getting an error saying
"Application name needs to be installed on my internal hard drive. We'll override your settings only for this installation" (apps are installed on my SD Card). After I say OK, it will start downloading and then I get "Error, see details" and I get the same error message again. If I cancel the download, the next time I check for updates, these all come up again and I get the same error messages again.

Sep 6, 2014I realized that after upgrading to WP 8.1 on my Lumia 1520, the play time for sms ringtone was shortened. My customized ringtone would start cutting halfway through around 4 to 5 sec and that bothers me. Right now I have an 8-second ringtone set for my texts but obviously it doesn't play the whole thing. Is there something I could do in settings that could fix this problem ?

I've messed with text slider in ease of access to see if this would improve things, which it does in other apps & internet explorer, but it doesn't appear to have any effect on the text size displayed in the calendar tile. If this is the norm, do you think that the size of text in the calendar tile may be able to be changed in a update. I'm running official 8.1.

Feb 6, 2015I was wondering if any of you had this issue. I have a LUmia 1520.3 and everything works perfectly, except that if I am listening to music and I get a txt message. If that happens after the message is read and I return to the music the phone starts to play thru the speakers and the headphones.at the same time. There is a significant reduction in the volume thru the headphones but it still plays. I have tried different headphones and the problem persist over the podcast app as well.

Jun 4, 2013HTC ONE. With the Stock Messaging app on the phone, I like it and all but I have a small gripe about it. I don't get message previews on the lock screen when I get a message. Yes I know, maybe it's disabled to save on battery life, but battery life is not an issue for me on this phone. Anyways, the only way I can get a message preview on lock screen is if I use CHOMP SMS messaging app. I dont like it, I prefer the stock one, but I leave it on so that I can get previews on my lock screen. Dec 15, 2015When I get a new text or email if I unlock my phone and touch the email or message app and read or delete it, it still shows the notification in the upper left. If I then lock my phone and unlock it again it still shows the notification on the lock screen. I have gone and cleared the cache and data from the message app and restarted. The only way it goes away is if I swipe it away on the lock screen or select it from the lock screen and view/delete after it opens.

Currently it vibrates, but plays no ringtonw when I get a call. This is what I want. Howver, when I get a text message it simply shows a toast noification, but no vibration or sound.I have compared every setting I could find to my previous HTC WP7 handset, which does vibrate on SMS.
I have gone in the ringtones Setting screen and turned off the ringer and turned on vibration. How do I make this work? I feel like it must be something staring me in the face that I am not seeing.

Nov 26, 2015I, like several others are having issues with getting text messages from the cloud onto my new Lumia 950 which I've had for about 4 days now. As of this moment it's still stuck from January 2013 and it hasn't taken this long before so it could be a server side that's been causing the issue. So I tried using the Transfer My Data app to transfer text messages and whenever I pair them it doesn't allow my Lumia 920 to transfer texts only contacts.
Is that because it's using an old Bluetooth that doesn't allow transfer, but I paired it the opposite way and it transferred over my Lumia 950 texts onto my 920... . So I tried using the contacts+message backup app by uploading the text backup using OneDrive and then downloading that onto my Lumia 950 but that wouldn't work either since the restore option was grayed out.

So I have contacts that have two numbers with *31# and without.... But when sending txt message it tries to use this *31# number and text messages don't go anywhere...
