I searched but only found info related to sounds coming in for new email on the LG Env Touch.Is there any icon that pops up on the main screen letting you know you have new email (it's set up to get it from my Hotmail account). I haven't seen anything yet and was wondering how to set it up.

I have a Blackberry Pearl Flip 8230 by Verizon, and had to delete & resend my service books. Since then, my Yahoo! mail icon has been replaced with a generic Blackberry email icon. Based on suggestions I have seen online, I have tried removing and reinserting the battery, as well as deleting and re-adding the email account in the BIS website. Neither of these worked.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I get a new SMS, it is the same as a new e-mail icon. However, this is not supposed to be so... SMS's are supposed to be a slanted envelop. I never had this problem with my old curve 8320. I've also had this icon issue since I got my phone several months ago. The icons remain the same no matter which OS version I use. I am on T-mobile.

Messages - catchall for everything
Desktop email icon
2nd/personal email icon
However, I switched back to the Curve (8530) because of the keyboard, and now I don't have a primary desktop email icon. The only way to view work email is to use the messages icon where everything else goes as well. Is there any way to create or separate the two email accounts so I can view the work email separately?
for some reason i have this new email that is no existent. Ive been through my email accounts and check every message. I do not have any new messages availbe, however on my touch flo menu it continues to have a (1) new message shown. Has any had this problem and solved it or anyone know how to solve it?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have never used my Touch for anything but talking and texting--never get on the web (grandfathered in on no data plan) so I know NOTHING about email, browsing, etc. What I want to do is keep my current handset if at all possible and NOT go to a smart phone, at least not yet. I will pay the $30 data plan (I know it's silly, etc., but still...). The most important thing I want to do is use my regular email client on the Touch but I'd like to have it as simple as possible and want to be alerted to new emails without having to actually go "online" to check for new email. Is there any way I can change the default email (or whatever you would call the "email" which is a choice under "messaging" on the interior screen) to be my real email address so that I can simplify things?
Am I correct in assuming that if I have to retrieve my email from the internet (on the Touch) I will NOT get any kind of alert to new emails with my phone simply "idle"?I hope this made sense. Rather than going through the hassle and expense of getting a data plan only to find out it won't work for me and then having to stick with a $10 data plan I don't need (am currently grandfathered in with pay as you go data because I had the Touch prior to the required data plans) I am trying to get as much information as possible beforehand.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have my corporate email set up on E72. The set up was using IMAP option. When I press the right most email key , I see all the emails in the inbox. Could you please explain is this is indeed my mailbox or is it just a link to mailbox ? The reason being everytime I click this key, I get a message stating that the last connect was at so & so time and do I want to connect again. When I connect , it shows connecting to my mailbox and disconnects immediately. I do not see any change to the list of emails shown. Sometimes I do see emails in this screen even though I have deleted those from the mailbox.

Something weird happened with my Blackberry Bold 9700 yesterday.
There is an e-mail icon on the top with a "1" next to it but there is no e-mail within my centralized message box or my individual mail account icons.
I tried removing the battery and putting it back in and this didn't fix the problem.
I also scrolled through all the messages within my centralized message box and there aren't any unread messages (past or current).
I also tried to fix it by sending myself an e-mail message and opening it but this didn't work. The icon on the top of my screen shows "2" when the new message arrives and when I open this e-mail message, the number next to the icon goes back to "1".
I got a Samsung Rogue for Christmas and the user's manual is not very helpful. I setup the mobile email for my yahoo account but can't figure out how to open jpg files that are either attached or emedded in the email. Also is there a way to adjust the sensitivity of the touch screen, it takes a lot of pressure to select the options.
View 4 Replies View RelatedProblem Description I was in a middle of a workout with the MOTOACTV. It was connected wirelessly to my heart rate monitor. During the workout the UI became high latency and almost completely unresponsive. It would take 3 4 presses to the Power Key to get the device to wake up. When device did wake up, the CapTouch UI would not accept any swipe or touch gestures. I finally was able to power the device down hoping for a graceful reset. However I was concerned that I was never going to get to the point of getting to the power down screen. seen this issue on other Android devices and know that there are times when a battery pull is needed due to a deadlock or a process gone haywire.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just bought the new Nokia 5233 phone.Whenever the phone is locked and I set a alarm. There is no way i can stop the alaram other than to reset the alarm manually by alarms-> edit.
There will be two touch buttons that apper on the otuch screen. One to stop and other to snooze the alarm. Even If press them, it wont work. The alaram keeps ringing. I even tried clicking on the green button and the menu botton at the bottom. Still no use. I cant even unlock the phone. Only thing i can do is press the red button at the end, which will snooze the alarm. After this, I have to manually change the alarm time.
The same thing happens even with phone calls. I cannot use the touch button that apper on the touch screen. I have to use the green and red button at the bottom.These problem come into picture only if the phone is locked. Otherwise it works fine.
My home screen has an e-mail icon that will not go away. It says that I have one unread e-mail message. When I open it, I do not have any unread messages. Anyone know how to make the icon go away.
