I'm going through the Storage sections under Settings, picking and choosing what I want to keep and discard. There's a number of items appearing in Downloads that I want to move to my PC, but I can't find the files and the only commands available are Open, Delete and Share. How do I locate the items so can copy them?My phone is not rooted and is running Lollipop 5.1.1.

I just got my S5 today, upgraded from my three and half year old S2 Skyrocket, However, it seems to have some weird default "unlock effect" where these stupid bubbles of colors appear wherever you touch or swipe on the lockscreen. I've searched around for how to get rid of it, but everything I've found says go to the Lock Screen settings menu and change the "unlock effect." But the lock screen settings menu on my phone doesn't have that option. I tried searching in the settings for "unlock effect" and it comes up with a result, but when I click it, it just takes me to the lock screen settings--which as I said has no option for unlock effects.Did they remove the ability to change/remove the lockscreen effect in 5.0 or am I just completely missing something?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm running Android 5.0 on a Galaxy S5.
I'm using the Google Calendar app (not the built in Samsung calendar app). I create all of my Google Calendar events on my laptop. The Google Calendar app on my S5 displays the events just fine.
In the Google Calendar app on my S5, I go to the Settings menu, I select my calendar from the Settings menu, and the "notifications" section says "1 hour before as SMS".
Also, in the phone's settings, I go to "Application manager", select "Calendar", and the "Show notifications" box is checked.
The problem is that I never get notifications for calendar events. (I expect that they would show up in the notification drawer, but I have never seen a Google Calendar notification there.)
I just bought z3 dual and just moved from windows to android. I am pretty new to android os and I am honestly liking it a alot.
However, I am really disappointed by the battery performance of z3. The phone is running android lollipop the latest.
I just updated my new replacement phone to Lollipop on my Samsung Galaxy s5... now i am not able to connect to my JVC car radio via Bluetooth. When I try my phone doesn't even see my radio. My old Galaxy S5 used to play just fine on the radio with the Lollipop update... It does see and pair to other devices, like my Tone Pro headset.

View 10 Replies View RelatedSo I accidentally deleted files off my internal storage in an attempt to free it up (it said miscellaneous but didn't realise this included all my received whatsapp pics and videos).
So I've read that I need to root my phone in order to try recover these, I've so far downloaded odin and ran the pda which passed. Then I put SUSuper I think on my internal storage and from this point my phone stopped following the tutorial.
I have an AT&T G4 running 5.1 that is rooted, has had xposed installed and various modifications made like apps frozen, pimp my rom, and stuff like that. I want to reset it back to stock firmware. What I want to know is how to flash the stock firmware and how safe is it? Do I need to do any prepping like gradually undoing my xposed modifications prior to flashing? I want to reset my phone to like it was out of the box and do not want to brick it.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI got a Z5 Compact just yesterday and have been trying it out. I do like the phone a lot, especially the side power button / fingerprint reader is fantastic. The back could be more curved to make it nicer to hold and the display calibrated better.
Anyway, my problem is that the phone runs hot! After unlocking it and just browsing the net (no videos) for about 20 minutes the phone gets warm especially from the back. It's not burning or anything but enough to be noticeable and enough to be a bit uncomfortable. Watching a YouTube video doesn't really change the situation. The only time I've got it really hot is when Play Store was downloading all my apps on the phone - but then again my old Galaxy S4 got hot in that situation too.
I tested various situations (using camera to take a video, watching YouTube, browsing websites) and compared to my S4 and the Z5 Compact was always much warmer from both front and back (even without a back cover on S4).
Occasionally when using my device, it will freeze for a brief moment and the running apps window will pop up by itself. It will then start cycling through the running apps list (I use the card view), and it will randomly open one of the applications, and then sometimes repeat this process a couple of times in quick succession before I can regain control of the screen. The whole event will usually last about 3 seconds, but as you can imagine it is becoming quite annoying. I would say that it happens about every 3 days or so.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded a marine GPS and I want to use it with Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The GPS provider has provided me with a link for a program that would enable me to receive the GPS locator information from my PC rather than directly from the satellites. But it is for a Bluetooth connections, which I don't have on my PC. Is it possible to use the USB connection that came with the phone to receive the information from my computer?
I have a problem, since I updated my HTC One M8 to Android Lollipop, battery stays at 1%, placing the charger for more than two hours the smartphone charged, but just 1% is still displayed in the battery.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone has developed a condition of not waking after the screen went to sleep. I am not sure it started after Lollipop 5.0.1 or not. But it is doing that more frequent with time. When I tried to double tap to wake the phone, only the task bar on top, the home, and back button at the bottom lighted up. If I press the power button, the screen will go black completely. Press the power button again and the task bar and the other two button lighted up again. The way to finally wake up the phone is repeatedly pressing the volume up and down button together. This could require several minutes of pressing the volume button to get the screen to turn on. The phone is not rooted. It works fine when the screen is on.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm on Verizon with my S5 and just updated to Lollipop. I was able to clear my clipboard on KitKat 4.4.4 by taping my phone icon then long press on the open space on the phone. I had the options to clear the whole clipboard or just the items you wanted. So how do you now clear the clipboard on Lollipop? Tried the way I always did it (as stated above) and nothing shows up.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI updated to Lollipop 2 days ago and ever since my phone seems to be constantly hot to touch and everything keeps crashing or running really slow and sluggish. I have had the phone actually freeze several times in last two days.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had recently bought Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900H (Software Version: G900HXXU1ANCJ) but from the second day itself I am facing bootloop issue in the same. It works fine for sometime and then somehow it goes into the bootloop and I tried to hard reset the phone using recovery mode a couple of times and delete the data but again it gives me the same problem after a day or so. I want to flash the rom in the same. Which rom should I flash in the same and some instructions and the link to download the rom. Also do I need to root my phone to install the rom, I have enabled the USB Debugging from developer option, wouldn't that be suffice.
View 20 Replies View RelatedMy S5 did the lollipop upgrade just over a week ago and there have been nothing but issues since. I did a full factory reset and the phone worked fine for 3 days than I powered it down as I was at a bridge game and when I turned it back on it was worse than ever. Did another factory reset and now it won't load any apps at all. It will sometimes read my SD card and at other times it won't. Short of replacing the phone, what is going on with this update and how did it take a phone I loved and turn it into a useless hunk of electronic junk.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI got the Lollipop update last night and my only complaint - thus far - is that *&$^%&% Flipboard has reappeared and I can't delete it,. The icon is on my Apps tray and if I grab it like I'd do with anything else there's no trashcan icon.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have my iPhone 4 set to get it's time automatically buy recently noticed, while waiting for a train, that it was running slow against the station clock. I double checked it against BT's speaking clock and found that it's almost a minute out.
I made sure my iPhone's clock wasn't simply slipping by manually setting it forward 20 minutes or so then letting it resync with the time server. Again it was a minute slow.
My blackberry torch seems to be a bit faulty in some way at the min , I've recently purchased several batteries for the phone, all of which working perfectly when I leave the shop, when home I charge them up to full and use it as normal no problems. I continue to use the phone until it completely runs out of charge but when it comes to charging it again it shows a battery with a Red Cross through it and after reading other comments of just leaving it to charge I did that but nothing happened so went back to the shop they tested the battery only to find it completely unuseable and me having to buy a new one.
