Galaxy S5 :: Why Doesn't Bluetooth Pair With Radio (running Lollipop)
Feb 8, 2015
I just updated my new replacement phone to Lollipop on my Samsung Galaxy s5... now i am not able to connect to my JVC car radio via Bluetooth. When I try my phone doesn't even see my radio. My old Galaxy S5 used to play just fine on the radio with the Lollipop update... It does see and pair to other devices, like my Tone Pro headset.
I'm using the Google Calendar app (not the built in Samsung calendar app). I create all of my Google Calendar events on my laptop. The Google Calendar app on my S5 displays the events just fine.
In the Google Calendar app on my S5, I go to the Settings menu, I select my calendar from the Settings menu, and the "notifications" section says "1 hour before as SMS".
Also, in the phone's settings, I go to "Application manager", select "Calendar", and the "Show notifications" box is checked.
The problem is that I never get notifications for calendar events. (I expect that they would show up in the notification drawer, but I have never seen a Google Calendar notification there.)
I just got my S5 today, upgraded from my three and half year old S2 Skyrocket, However, it seems to have some weird default "unlock effect" where these stupid bubbles of colors appear wherever you touch or swipe on the lockscreen. I've searched around for how to get rid of it, but everything I've found says go to the Lock Screen settings menu and change the "unlock effect." But the lock screen settings menu on my phone doesn't have that option. I tried searching in the settings for "unlock effect" and it comes up with a result, but when I click it, it just takes me to the lock screen settings--which as I said has no option for unlock effects.Did they remove the ability to change/remove the lockscreen effect in 5.0 or am I just completely missing something?
When I had my iPhone I could join it to my car radio to play music through Bluetooth no probs. My Galaxy S5 can 'see' my radio but always fails to connect. Would I be correct in thinking that there are different types of Bluetooth? Its not like its a cheap radio either.
I have my S5 connected to my car radio via bluetooth. I'd like to listen to the local radio, but would still like to get alerts (including GPS directions) without having to switch the source over to the phone. Is this possible? How?
I have lg g3 and its running lollipop. i am having trouble using thr do not disturb mode. Even when i turn it on, i am getting all the notifications. What could be wrong?
I wanted to test marshmallow so I decided flash xtra smoth rom by daniel84cs.as I am coming from lollipop so I flashed bootloader and radio of marshmallow but then I stuck into bootloop somehow I managed to get my backup restored now I am back to lollipop as I have done a factory rest before restoring so I should need to flash lollipop bootloader and radio again or I am good to go?
Before the lollipop upgrade I was able to plug my lg3 into my windows8 computer using the USB power cord and easily transfer files (pictures). after upgrade, computer won't recognize the phone. is it possible to roll back to kitkat so I can transfer?
I have run out of space on my phone. (Again. Why can't I add an sdcard to this nexus thing dammit?) I'm going through the Storage sections under Settings, picking and choosing what I want to keep and discard. There's a number of items appearing in Downloads that I want to move to my PC, but I can't find the files and the only commands available are Open, Delete and Share. How do I locate the items so can copy them?My phone is not rooted and is running Lollipop 5.1.1.

I bought an auricle bluetooth Jabra but I don't manage to connect it with the BB Bold 9700.I launched research bluetooth, it detects the audio device but impossible pairing.
I like to use the bluetooth to pair with my car. I was working but now the bluetooth on the phone will not stay on. every time I open the screen it shows that the bluetooth is off even after I just turned it on. Also how can I have connect to the car automatically?
I have bought an iphone 4s recently. The former Iphone I had used to pair with the car bluetooth but the new one does not pair with any device. What should I do? Is it something about the device or Iphone does not pair with the car bluetooth?
I bought a Hyundai Elentra 2012 from last November and have been using my BB9900 with no issues with the car bluetooth.Once I start the car it would auto pair no issues at all.Right after the OS 7.1 update as I got in the car it said cannot pair. So I deleted both in phone and car and re paired. That connected but as soon as I shut the car off and try again it says on car menu pair failed. If I try and connect manually via the 9900 menu it says on screen cannot pair. The only way to pair it is remove both from each and re pair again. What did the OS 7.1 do to mess up th ebluetooth. By the way I have two phones and the iphone 4 pairs fine with the car so its not a car issue. Also why does BB not include the old rings tones. I have to always install it manually. I also notice the new OS use smuch more memory another 40+ mehs now I only have 140m free.
Since downloading OS upgrade, two of us with 9670 can't pair a new bluetooth device. Enabling bluetooth does not stay "on" and the option to add a new device or show any paired devices does not appear anywhere.
I've never done this FYI but! Hopefully it works I got an iPhone 4s and I'm trying to Bluetooth my music from my black berry curve but it says it's not supported does that mean i can't connect them? And if so what's the freakin point of such a great phone if I can't even Bluetooth!?
Can you pair through bluetooth my phone to more than one vehicle? My new Honda CRV receives text messages. However it says my Iphone 4 CDMA is not compatible. Is there software I need to download to my phone?
