Mar 17, 2012i ONLY found out about applecare+ for iphone through a friend. i tried to buy it online, but it said i need to make a genius appointment. so i made the appointment. when i went in they said i was past 30 days since i bought the phone so i had to call applecare. i called applecare, after 4 hours on the phone i got escalated all the way to a senior admin applecare agreement admin who would not help me purchase the applecare+. i'm at a loss for what to do. nowhere in the terms and services does it say you have to buy within 30 days of purchase. they added it to the website after the fact. anyway, i made the appointment when i was within my 30 days.

Apr 16, 2012I purchased my iPhone 4s at a Verizon store and then purchased AppleCare+ within 30 days at an Apple store. My current AppleCare protection status only reflects the coverage that is included with all Apple devices (90 days/1 year) and does not show that I purchased the extended coverage. I did not receive a registration number or any information about AppleCare+ at the time of purchase - the only thing I have is an electronic receipt. I just purchased AppleCare+ on Friday, so I'm not sure if there is some delay between the actual purchase of the extended coverage & the coverage being applied to my account.

Apr 23, 2012I bought the iPhone4S and AppleCare protection plan with Sprint when it came out in October. A little under a month ago, my phone was stolen while I was downtown and I purchased another iPhone through Sprint. They told me to contact Apple to see about getting my AppleCare plan transferred to the new product. I've searched around and called but the automated system is not doing too much to help me find my answer. I want to switch the plan to my new phone, since I am no longer in possession of my old phone and I don't really want anyone else to be able to gain anything more at my expense.

Jan 4, 2010I have the 8520, and have no data plan with my carrier in my post payment plan, i thought , since i have wi-fi at home, office and tons of hot spots. I can use my BB to access the web using free wi-fi as i have been doing with my last 4 smartphones.Big mistake. i have been charged 55 us last month, for data transfer use , i ran to my plan“s assistance office ( telcel in Mexico ), and the answer i got was. you have to get a data plan from us to be able to use wi-fi ( obviuosly i stared at her , just nodding my head ).There is no point in having a device that has acces to wi fi networks , if i cant access the wi fi network without you data plan, so i got the lady to bring the tech guy. His response was...naaahhh...it will access the wi fi. but we“ll charge u anyway. you need to disable the network from the phone and only leave the wi fi option on so you can access without any other charge, but this will leave you with no phone connection.
Is this real? did i just spend 399us in a gadget that has wi fi capabilities but will not be able to get on any wi fi connection form home or work, without being charged for data transmission over my cell providers network?cmon this sounds as stupid as it does in my head ? i would be really disapointed if i just left my old Nokia E71 SPhone, for this beautiful BB Curve 8520 THAT DOES NOT CONNECT TO THE WI Fi.

I was told that Apple will give me a replacement phone for much cheaper than a new one. Jul 3, 2010How many of you have had to have your iphone worked on? I bought the iphone a couple of years ago, and found the technical support here was much better. I was told my an apple sales person tell me that if I lost my iphone, applecare would allow me to buy another one at $199. Since we just signed up for the 2 year contract with ATT, if we lost the phone, it would be full price. I know apple care doesn't cover water damage or cracked screen. Is there a deductible when it is sent it? I did call apple and no one seemed to know the details. I had gotten talked in to buying the Best Buy black tie protection plan, but I just couldn't handle the thought of $14.99 for two years.

Apr 20, 2012I changed my contract from an iPhone 3GS to an iPhone 4 in may 2011. Since then my USB does not work properly and the earphones, well one ear works and the other doesn't. I then went online to check if I could get a replacement for both which I am still not sure that accessories are covered under tha warranty. Then I put my serial number and it said that my phone was out of coverage which doesn't make sense as I got the phone in may 2011 and it's only April 2012.Not a year yet.

Apr 9, 2012i got an iPhone 4 from America as a gift (i live in UK) and recently i was using it as a sat-nav on my motorcycle when it fell off doing about 40MPH. Luckily, the mounted case took some damage, and only the front screen is cracked all over (pretty much all gone at the top, however the display is fine, therefore i believe the LCD would not be replacing). Apr 14, 2012I have an iPhone 4S that was recently unlocked by AT&T. Unfortunately, it's developed an issue where all the radios cut out if I talk on the phone for more than a few minutes. Assuming I can get this replaced by Apple, would my unlock carry over to the new phone? It was hard enough getting AT&T to unlock this phone, I'm not sure if theyd do it if they can't verify the IMEI was the same one that I purchased.
