View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently upgraded to the i phone 4S. I have restored from my back up on my Macbook. When I put in all my details to set up my e-mail exchange account all the contacts are deleted. I have tried a few times and ensured that the box's next to contacts calenders and reminders are not checked ( so they don't sync) but it is all still deleted. It seems I can have either my e-mail working or my contacts installed and that can't be right.

My Outlook stores multiple contacts for the same person automatically (one with an email address only, one with a phone number only, etc.). When my iPhone syncs with the cloud it stores those multiple contacts and makes it frustrating to look up one person's number and email under separate entries. View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got my Atrix today and apparantly was just dumb enough to upload a contacts CSV file exported from MS Outlook to my Motoblur account. It synced with my new phone and made lots of multiple entries, etc. what a mess! Now I'm reading that I can synch a number of other ways including using Windows Mobile Device Center to sync with my Outlook contacts. Now how do I stop Motoblur from synching/updating contacts and clear the phone contacts so I can sync another way?

It seems the phone takes all the people in my address book and does a google search or facebook search and it will actually add a photo of the person (which I do not want) and it will not let me delete these new mysterious entries?All VErizon said was I have to make sure contact sync in unchecked in the phone which is it but in Gmail there is no place to unsync contacts. I have also told the SII not to sync contacts from my MS Exchange account. However, if I search for a contact in my contacts list the SII also searches on my Exchange server--which creates traffic I do not want and a lot of hits since I work for a large company. Is there a way to tell SII not search for contacts on my Exchange server?

Eight widget id values each time, looks like about nine times an hour, 24/7. Is there a way to stop this waste? Or at least keep it from pushing useful stuff out of the log buffers?
My girlfriend is coming up as something like 20 contacts in the Contacts app on my Samsung S5 with Android 5.0. Even if I link her contacts together, they just get automatically created again. Same think if I delete them. She has several email addresses and we share several apps together such as traffic apps, Facebook, WhatsAPP Skype, etc etc. There is a separate conact for each one. I've tried setting the "Contact to Show" setting to Device (only) but they all still show up so they must be "Device" contacts. I've also got the Contact Setting option checked for "Show only contacts with phone". Even then all her email only and app only contacts show up.

I've setup homesharing as every guide I have ever read says to. However the step where I go to more tab on the music app on my phone, there is no shared option. I've turned the phone off and on, made sure the app was closed properly, and nothing.
Do I need to set up a library to share first? All the videos seemed to have a library in the shared tab in itunes. I can't find a way to do this, as the sharing options in preferences just say either share selected playlists, or my entire library.
