IPhone :: Opening Outlook It Asks For Apns Certificate?
Mar 22, 2012
Recently a customer started tethering his iPhone to his laptop and anytime outside of the domain enviroment,he gets an apns certificate log-in prompt for outlook. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated since I don't know, 1. how to deal with this, 2.
I later found out that the iPhone 4 was purchased from Orange Swisszerland.
This phone was replaced in Covent Gardens and worked fine with orange UK for a few days (hence i purchased it). It then asked for compatible sim. now neither orang UK or Swiss sims work and i cannot unlock it too, because each party says that the iPhone is not their.
Can Apple make an app or an update that makes you insert your password to turn your phone off? This can deal with theft of iPhones because people take or find a iPhone, the first thing they do is turn the phone off.
My cousin gave me his iphone. I already change the apple id but everytime a new update. They ask for my cousin's id. Even for the app that it use my id to download.
When i go to set up my email which is a live.ca email with my iphone i cant get it to work it asks POP or IMAP and asks for host, user name and password for incoming and outgoing server i currently have the server for incoming as pop3.live.com and outgoing as stmp.live.com with my user name and password in the other fields it is set to IMAP. anyone know what to set it to to get it working?
Bought iPhone 3GS from eBay listed as factory unlocked. I activated it with ATT sim, upgraded to 5.1.1 and was able to use with TMobile sim. Seems to be factory unlocked, right ? But if I wipe/deactivate iPhone and then try to activate again it asks for ATT sim for activation. Wont activate with TMobile SIM. Did I buy factory unlocked ?
Every once in a while it asks for a password for a no1sonic64fan@aim.com email that I've never heard about! It is not from anyone in my contacts or anyone I know for that matter! Is it a virus or what? How to I get it to stop? My iTunes account and iCloud account are correct, but this random email every once in a while pops up!
So I have moved into a new apartment, and when my iPhone finds the router and tries to log on, it asks for a username AND a password. When I use my Macbook, it just asks for a password, which I enter and get no further problems with. Â
I have tried entering the router's details manually using the 'Other' feature in the Wifi settings, and still cannot log on (either with WPA or WPA2).Â
After i updated my iphone it askes me "please insert suported sim that comes with the phone'' but i don't have the sim card that comes with this phone.
Anyone know how to add a self-signed https certificate for the iPhone? I use a self-signed cert for a webUI for uTorrent via stunnel. In iOS 3.0 it wasn't much a problem; it would kick up a warning but would let you continue. In iOS 4.0 it won't let me continue without adding the cert. apparently. I get a prompt saying that the "certificate for this server is invalid." I've tried going to the webUI url in Safari on my mac, viewing the cert. when prompted, and choosing to add it to my keychain and then syncing, but I still get the same prompt with no way to continue or add the cert. I've also tried emailing my self the .cer file and adding it on my iPhone, but it still does not work.Edit: I've found the profile on my iPhone for the cert. I added, but shows it as "Untrusted".
I have recently purchased a 9780 which I was told it was unlocked but when I put my sim in it asks for a MEP code. What is and how can I get one to enable me to use Fone.
I'm working on rolling my own MDM service, and I'm trying to combine the SCEP and MDM payloads as the MDM protocol document from Apple suggests. I created my own SCEP web service in C# .Net and I know that the device can get a valid certificate when I just send the SCEP payload. However when I also include an MDM payload that points to the SCEP payload's UUID via the IdentityCertificateUUID key, I get the following error, "The enrollment server did not provision a valid identity certificate." This configuration is the one that is sent after the user chooses to install the initial enrollment configuration (step 1 of phase 2 in this diagram). The device doesn't appear to even make an attempt at connecting to my server, and thanks to server side logging I know that it never reaches my SCEP web service page. This seems to indicate that there's something wrong with the certificate I use to sign the payload. I've separately tried signing it with my SSL certificate (from a pre trusted root authority), my customer MDM push certificate (chained from our vendor cert), and my self-signed root certificate authority certificate (created via makecert.exe) that the SCEP service uses to issue new certificates (i.e. device identity certificates).I've looked at the output from the iPCU (iPhone Configuration Utility) when I create a profile with both the MDM and SCEP payloads, and it isn't a valid profile (I've even tried copying it nearly wholesale). However when I install the profile via the iPCU the error doesn't come up and it begins the SCEP enrollment process without issue.A side note - using a preexisting MDM vendor is not an option here.Below is the profile I'm using:
I got my phone on friday last week and since the it restarted every morning at random time. It turns off and back on, I didn't loose any files, but the sim card is blocked and people can't call me then. I have the newest software, use the original charger, battery etc. Phone turns off without any massage, vibration or else, when it turns on I get the default starting screen and the phone asks me for pin and works normally afterwards.
My friend had his Galaxy S5 set to unlock with a fingerprint, however yesterday the strangest thing happened. It no longer asks for a fingerprint, it goes directly to the alternate password. I would like to clarify again that its not that it does not accept his prints like happens to a lot of people, it simply does not give the choice to use them. Now I don't know if he forgot his password or the phone wont accept it (like he claims) but he can't use the alternate password to log into the phone. He is completely locked out. As a last case resort I will back up whatever I can using my computer and reset it to factory defaults.
As a final note I've tried the google device manager to reset the password, his S5 does not appear on his account. I expect that is because it is not a gmail account but a school account using google apps.
Since the 5.5.1 update that I made yesterday, my Xperia Z2Â is not asking for the PIN number anymore, so I can't send messages, make calls etc.. I removed the SIM then replaced it, but it's not working. Â Plus, when I go to the settings / security, I can access to my SIM settings, but it's "in grey", I can't clic on it.
The phone says you can configure email for most accounts in a few steps . So I typed my user name and password and this is what I get Setup Could Not Finish, Incorrect username or passord. I tried this tons of times, I am entering it all correct.
I have a droid3 and every time I try to download anything it now ask me to do it over a wifi connection, this started 2 days ago. How do I make it start using the phone to download, and it doesn't matter the size of file.
just started to use this phone again, i receive texts no problem, however when i try to send one it asks me to enter the message centre number? I am using the phone based in the UK - anyone know what number i should put in ?
I set up a Gmail mailbox on my N86 phone using e-mail wizard (IMAP). It works fine in connecting to the Gmail, and send/receive e-mails. But my problem is with automatic retrieval; every time it wants to check my mailbox, it asks me to choose access point. That means automatically retrieval acts just like manual retrieval because if I am not there when it is trying to retrieve e-mails, it won't connect, so when I come to my phone, I just see a "Select connection" box giving me three options:
Search for WLAN Internet WAP services. My phone settings regarding to Access Point and Email configuration are as below:
Settings > Connection > Packet Data > Packet Data Connection > When Available Settings > Connection > Destinations > Internet > 1 access point (default destination)
My access point setting says "Use access point = Automatically" E-mail settings > Global settings : there is no configuration for access point or connection. The available options in this page: 1- Message list layout 2- Body text preview 3- Title dividers 4- Download notifications
E-mail settings > Mailbox settings: Mailbox settings > My email address Mailbox name. My name Signature Advanced mailbox settings. What to sync > Retrieve less than 2 KB Emails to retrieve IMAP4 folder path Folder subscriptions. When to sync > Connection daysConnection hoursUpdate intervalRetrieve when abroad.
I listed my available settings because I noticed different options in different tutorials. Even my phone's manual has some different options than my phone. I didn't list WLAN options because I don't have any WLAN network. So to make it short, I want my phone to retrieve e-mails from my GMail account automatically, without asking me about connection and access point each time. BTW, my phone's web browser works fine, and makes connection when needed without asking me about the access point to use. I hope someone can suggest me a solution because I like this e-mail application in my new phone, but it is strange to me that it cannot use the default access point and always needs to ask me.
I've paired my 5233 via Bluetooth to both home and work Macs (G4 & Intel). File browsing and transfer via Bluetooth File Exchange works flawlessy on both. However, when I connect to the other Mac, even while it's already on favorites and it shows on the list, the phone asks for the passkey, as does the Mac. After this I can connect and disconnect as many times as I want from that Mac, no passkey needed anymore. However, if I now connect to the other Mac, it again asks for passkey, so I have to key it on both phone and Mac. Again, I can connect and reconnect from that one without need for passkey... until I go to the other Mac, it again asks for it.
I never try to pair the phone to the two Macs at once.
I am curious why on the 'Paired Devices' list on the Bluetooth menu on the phone there is only *one* device, the computer, and no matter what shortname I set when connected to any one of the two Macs, theres only one, shouldn't there be 2 devices there on the list, the individual work and home machines? I've set them as 'Authorized', both on the phone and on the Macs, why does it keep asking for the passkey when I change from one machine to the other?
E66 after software update asks for lock code.. tried 12345, 00000 and almost many but no luck... before update there was no lock code... i also format the phone
I got my N9 yesterday and couldn't quite find info on how to install the Opera web browser, so i decided to enable "developer mode" in settings. That didn't help, so i decided to reboot the phone. When starting it up again, it now asks me for a security code. A code which i don't recall setting, and can't find any info on the internet about.
Note: I have previously set my PIN-code to 0000 and then disabled the pin code check, so it's NOT the pin code that's the problem. Also tried to insert my PUK-code, but that didn't help either.
