since updating my Lumia 800 handset to 12070 my phone randomly shuts down. There is no rhyme or reason to it, fr example it switched itself off 3 times in a row this morning, then was stable until this afternoon shutting down twice more.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy droid Razr randomly powers down. Never when I'm using it, only when it is sitting idle. This is the second droid razr I have had in the last month and both phones have had this problem. There are no third party apps on the phone, and I have tried numerous factory resets with no success.

My wife is blind. She has no way of knowing if her iphone 4s is powering up. Is there any way to get a sound saying the phone is powering up?

My iPhone 4s basically automatically powers off at 17% all the time, as if it's ran out of power. It only started doing this like a week ago for some strange reason :/ It used to turn off when it reached 1% but now it's 17%.

View 14 Replies View RelatedHaving recently upgraded to the latest fw version I have found in about 5 instances that during the past 2 weeks my phone has powered itself off. This is probably a new bug! At least I didn't find any previous references to such a behavour on this board. In my case the battery was well charged. Today I had just taken it off the charger, read my e-mail and browsed the webb with Opera for the morning news. Then I put it in my pocket only to find it powered off an hour later.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had 3 updates on my phone last night for WhatsApp, Yahoo and Windows messenger, after each upgraded my phone said they system needed to be restarted. I clicked Restart now and after over 8 hours my phone will not turn on. I have tried taking the battery out and left it out for over 5 minutes, put it back in and nothing. I tried holding the power button while on charge and nothing. The only thing it does is the light at the top next to the speaker blinks red every now and then.I plug it into my computer and the software doesn't even recognize I have the phone plugged up.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI attempt to turn it on and nothing happens. I plug in the charger and the led light is red for a few seconds then goes away and a battery with a lightening bolt appears on the screen. I tried removing and re-inserting the battery. I cleaned the battery connection terminals.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm new to the community. A little info about me My name is Steve, I am a Sprint ASC Technician in Indiana. I currently carry a Tour.I've worked on countless BlackBerrys, processed many repairs and exchanges, and have studied these phones from their hardware to their software. However, I have come across a problem that I cannot repair. Let me explain. BlackBerry Tour on Sprint. The device will not power on. I have done the standard protocol on devices that will not power up-- replaced battery, tried to connect to Desktop Manager, try connecting to JL Commander-- none of which had any effect. The owner of the phone has accepted that I will have to order him another one, but has propositioned me outside of work and offered me a handsome reward if I can get the contacts and texts messages off of the old one somehow. I told him how unlikely the possibility is, but with the amount of money he is willing to pay me for it, I am going to try.My question to you gurus out there: What can I do to accomplish such a task? I took his motherboard out and put it in different Tour's housing, hoping it was just some insignificant cable problem from the original housing, but sadly it still did not power on. The device has only been used for about 3 months, and the motherboard has no signs of abuse of any kind. Does anyone have any ideas, crazy or not, how to get this motherboard to power on so I recover his contacts and/or text messages? He bought me a soldering kit and told me if there's ANYTHING else I need to get the job done, let him know no matter the cost.
View 5 Replies View RelatedPhone is completely unusable at this point. When powering up, the progress bar goes to about 75% complete and then freezes. I cant find any information on this problem on the website but maybe I am not phrasing my problem correctly. Anyone have any suggestions on this besides throwing it out and getting a different phone?

My phone powers of randomly but most noticeably after a call or when i have it connected via Bluetooth in the car with no apperant reason.
I have drop my phone into my service provider twice. The first time i was given a new phone and once i left the shop the new one did the exact same thing. The second time it came back from repair and reported with no issue. It worked fine for about an hour and then started to power off just like before.
My BB 8530 has just started powering down for no reason. It still has battery left!

View 9 Replies View RelatedI was doing a bit of texting on my RAZR, when the screen hung, i waited for 5 minutes before doing a Power button + Volume Down key, which rebooted the phone.
Now the Phone wont power on. The battery is fully charged & i have tried the vol down + Power button combo.
My 9700 was being real buugy, not allowing me to open a sms text. So I powered the phone off then back on. I wanted to add some music, when I looked in the music folder I noticed all of my media had been deleted. Not real happy with RIM. I guess this is why the BB is known for being a work tool and not a media device.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9900 which I just bought 3 months ago. It has been fine over the last 2 months however the last month its been giving a lot of problems. While I was using it the screen went black and I tried to restart it (power back on and taking out the battery and sticking it back it) but the red led light would come on and it would not power up. After sticking it on the charger the red light would come on for 1 minute, then the battery sign would show saying that it is charging but after 1 minute, it would show a red X mark on the battery symbol and it would not power on. I have gone through this process 2 times (I have bought 2 JM1 batteries for the device from blackberry) however it still gives the same problem. I sent it to a phone repair shop and they gave it a try. They say that the batteries are fine, but the blackberry is not able to hold in the charge and has a problem with charging it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Nexus5 phone shuts down all of a sudden without me powering it off. It is happening every now and then. It also happens when I connect my phone via usb to my laptop. Could this be because I'm testing my apps on my phone using Android Studio. Every time i connect the USB it restarts over and over again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use tap to wake feature. I keep my phone in pocket and when I take it out the display is on. My guess would be that phone is not able to detect that it's inside pocket and tap to wake feature powers the display on.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo I just factory reset my phone due to issues with the lollipop udate, and the factory reset resolved them. The other day I went to unlock the phone, and the numbers on the unlock screen were all little white squares, weird I thought, so I reset the phone. It went to restart, got to the galaxy s5 screen and restarted again and again never getting past the gs5 screen. Tried to boot it into recovery, but same issue. I ended up just leaving it rebooting, and about 20 mins later it finally came on. 2 days ago the squares showed up again so I rebooted, and same thing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust bought a new boost mobile i776 and planned on unlocking it for use on Telus as a Mike phone.
When I powered it up it says
FLASHStrap

HAB assert fail
Ready to Program
Connect USB

VID7-UID1:

Has anyone heard of this error or could explain it? I've done some searching but turned up nothing. It said ready to program so I ran the CNS unlock on it, but still no luck. I'll return it if I have to or call motorola but I have to deal with the border crossing involved in that and that makes it much more time consuming if this is an easy fix.
