My LGG4 froze while I was on a website. I could not turn it off so I removed the battery and replaced it. I powered the phone up and it froze on the Life's Good Powered by android screen. It will not advance past this point.
I'm new to the community. A little info about me My name is Steve, I am a Sprint ASC Technician in Indiana. I currently carry a Tour.I've worked on countless BlackBerrys, processed many repairs and exchanges, and have studied these phones from their hardware to their software. However, I have come across a problem that I cannot repair. Let me explain. BlackBerry Tour on Sprint. The device will not power on. I have done the standard protocol on devices that will not power up-- replaced battery, tried to connect to Desktop Manager, try connecting to JL Commander-- none of which had any effect. The owner of the phone has accepted that I will have to order him another one, but has propositioned me outside of work and offered me a handsome reward if I can get the contacts and texts messages off of the old one somehow. I told him how unlikely the possibility is, but with the amount of money he is willing to pay me for it, I am going to try.My question to you gurus out there: What can I do to accomplish such a task? I took his motherboard out and put it in different Tour's housing, hoping it was just some insignificant cable problem from the original housing, but sadly it still did not power on. The device has only been used for about 3 months, and the motherboard has no signs of abuse of any kind. Does anyone have any ideas, crazy or not, how to get this motherboard to power on so I recover his contacts and/or text messages? He bought me a soldering kit and told me if there's ANYTHING else I need to get the job done, let him know no matter the cost.
I have a Motorola Xoom wifi edition that will not power up. When on a charger, it goes from white to green as normal. I've tried power and volume down, power and volume up, and power and both volume, all to no avail. It was working just fine until my dad got it, then it refused to power up.
I have a storm 2 9550 for about 5 months now and after a hard reboot 2 or 3 times the phone did not want to come on after pressing the on button. Also the Led light keeps on flashing red continuously. Iam in South Africa and received the phone as a present which was bought from Verizon. Would appreciate if there is a solution before i send it away for repairs.
Had HTC one for couple months now and quite a few times I can not use the screen it is unresponsive and I have to hit the power button to turn screen off and on and its fine.
My Dell Studio Windows 7 computer freezes for some reason now everytime i unplug my mobile phone (Nokia N97). It only does this sometimes, but now it seems to be everytime.Up until 4 days ago it never use to this ever! And I have had the phone just over a year.Anyone know what might be causing this? There is no 'safely remove hardware' option either.

I have had the phone app freeze on incoming calls. This is a rather fundamental problem for a brand new phone. I can't seem to find were to get the message to BB otherwise.
K850I WILL NOT TURN ON. WHEN I PRESS THE POWER BUTTON THE KEYBOARD LIGHTS UP AND VIBRATES ONCE THATS IT . I HAVE REMOVED BATTERY , SIM, AND MEMORY CARD. CANNOT CONNECT TO PC.
Fairly often I will go into the hotspot to turn it on and it will simply hang and time out when trying to start. I have to reboot the phone to get it to work again which is does right away. I also find the phone will freeze up on occasion requiring a hard reset to get it to reboot. The 920 has this problem as well. What is up with this? I thought I'd seen the end of this kind of behavior when I left Android.
my phone all of a sudden froze on me so I turned it off to see if it would sort itself out but instead I lost all my settings and applications including my inbox, calculator and I lost all my games, contacts the lot the only thing I didnt lose was my pictures and music which was on my memory card. I phoned nokia several times which was no help and have read through forums with no luck. I downloaded nokia suite but nothing. It is so frustrating How would I go about getting my inbox extra back?
The front camera (not the one next to the flash) causes the phone to freeze when you press the flip symbol. She has turned the phone off/on and I have reset the phone (power and home buttons) and also reset settings. iOS 7.1.2.
My Lumia 1520 (ATT Version) has had this reboot cycle problem for about a week now. It started a week ago when it was at 2%, died and when I tried to charge it, it started freezing and rebooting and freezing and rebooting. Originally I thought it was a power issue because it always had 2% when it restarted. I got it home to my Nokia original cord plugged into my surface pro charger and charged it and fiddled with it like turning it on airplane mode, deleting unread messages before it restarted, etc. But then recently its been doing it more and its been doing it while at 40%, 12%, etc. Even when its plugged in. It seems to get very hot every time I do this. During all of this, I have Xbox music songs I have pending download. I was going to let those finish over WiFi but it won't let me turn on WiFi. I'm wondering if the 53 pending downloads could be causing this issue but I'm not sure. I'm running the latest dev preview and cyan. I have a ton of apps and music and all that installed on my SD card.
one week ago i installed OTA 5.1.1' but it's not the new with the new icons, and i am having some issues with it, the phone lags in the settings app for the first couple of seconds, when someone call me and i slide the green circle to the right the in-call screen appears but the phone freeze for two seconds and then return to the screen you see when someone calling you again....sometimes i have to slide it 3 times to answer the call, i didn't have these issues in 5.1.1, now the question is for those who have the newest 5.1.1, do you have these issues??
Today I got a problem with my LG G4. I was in a whatsapp conversation, when my screen freezed. I couldn't click anywhere and couldn't go to the homescreen or lock the screen. A few moments later my screen went black.
Since then I can't start my phone. When I remove my battery and insert it 5 minutes later back into the phone, I can start the phone, I see the LG logo, but after that, my screen goes black again, so it's turned off automatically. When I try to start my phone again, it doesnt work. It only works when I remove the battery for a few minutes first.
I already tried to boot the phone in recovery mode, which didnt work either. I see the LG logo and after that the screen turns black again.
About 2 months ago my phone fell in water for a few moments. I instantly removed the battery and put the phone in a container with rice for 48 hours. After this the phone worked as it did before again.
I have a Nexus 5 (USA Google Play Store version) and have had issues with WiFi dropping out for a while now. The WiFi on the phone often freezes. What I mean by freezing is webpage might stop loading half way through or a video might stop streaming and just freezes. To get the WiFi to work again I have to turn WiFi off and then back on again. I have reset the phone and have tried another nexus 5, and still have the same issue. All of the other devices that I have (several computers, tablets, iPhones, an s4, etc) work fine. I have 3 Fritz! box routers that all have the same SSID, password, etc. I am using Verizon Fios.
My phone froze on me at the gim yesterday.I was listening to music over blue tooth, receiveing and sending mails, and using Jefit Pro.I was registering a set, when a mail came in and my phone froze! But it was still vibrating from the mail so it was still shaking in my hand.None of the buttons worked, nor a long press on the power button. I ended up doing a battery reset.
I was moving along with some apps this morning, and it seems lately when I enable Multi Tasking then try to close some applications, my phone just freezes, I can not turn it off, basically can not do anything shy of putting it down and waiting anywhere from 2-5 minutes for it to come back to life.
This happens at least once per day but I am not sure if this is something related to the software or if someone else has seen this?
Over the past couple weeks I've been having occasional freeze ups and spontaneous reboots of my phone. Sometimes the phone will unfreeze and other times I have to do an extended hold of the power button to force a reboot. It may not be locking up so much as the touch screen could be unresponsive.
I'd just update d phone to lollipop few weeks ago. Ever since then, my phone became very slow n freeze very often. Sometimes it will automatically turned off on its own.
This morning, when I was reading mail n updating some apps, it freezes.
So I went fastboot n try to wipe cache. But it keeps failed to mount cache... Err... Ok. So try turned it off n leave it for a while. After bout 10mins, I try turn it back on, it stuck on d bootloop screen for an hour.
Its weird was doing this when I had 5.0.1 whole using youtube only. Now on 5.1 while playing bejeweled type game. The game will start to lag and then half the screen will split an freeze. Doesn't do it all the time very random. I have uninstalled and reinstalled game as well.
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S5 (sm-g900f). Sometimes the screen just freeze, and grey lines appears (as in this picture goo.gl/qIdGg7 ).
The main button and the power still working, as I can see the white light turning on and off as usual after pressing them. And after click the power button once (which turn off the display), the screen remains black.
The phone is actually still working, as I can ear it ringing or receiving messages and email.
But I cant do anything, just take off the battery and restart it. I already reset it and the problem keeps happen again.
My iPhone 4 suddenly went dead out of the blues without warning. I initially thought the battery ran out but it's been on charge for over 1 hr and it's still not powering up. It wasn't dropped or had any physical damage like contact with liquid etc.
Having recently upgraded to the latest fw version I have found in about 5 instances that during the past 2 weeks my phone has powered itself off. This is probably a new bug! At least I didn't find any previous references to such a behavour on this board. In my case the battery was well charged. Today I had just taken it off the charger, read my e-mail and browsed the webb with Opera for the morning news. Then I put it in my pocket only to find it powered off an hour later.
