I am from Bulgaria and yesterday I bought Nokia x7. After only 4 hours the phone freezed on maps and stayed like for like an hour. Finaly I managed to turned off and on and there was a yellow spot on the screen. Its visible only on lighter colors. I brought it back and they sayed that I could be my mistake but I didnt do anything to it only downloaded some aplications from ovi store.
View 6 Replies View Relatedthe phone still works but the bottom left corner has kinda broke free and needs reattached. Its bn getting worst for weeks then it broke free today. Wd nokia care sort this? If so wd i get a replacement fone to use til then?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI read many many E52 phones suffer Internal GPS fix problems. I don't beleve this is an hardware problem, but only a software bug. My experiments say this:
1) Start phone, start Ovi Maps -> No lock at all. (only 1 blinking line in bottom left corner)
2) Start phone, start McGuider (Sygic) navigator -> E52 locks quite immedeately. (in the same place!!)
3) After GPS is locked, start Ovi Maps again. Now also Maps works great!
4) Also the gps built-in application under Menu->Applications->GPS->GPS Data has the same behaviour as Ovi Maps.
What happens to my front camara just now. When I take a pic the bottom end of the left side of pic are blurring..

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone 3G developed a crack in the plastic casing on the backside right at the bottom (by the connector at the bottom). I've heard that this is a design fault and happens to a lot of iPhones, and that (if it's within warranty!) going into an Apple store and complaining will get you a brand new one to walk out with.
The problem I have is that the good is no longer under warranty, but I've only had it for a little longer than a year and the fault developed well before that. I'm asking more for UK members here who know what recourse I have here - is it worth mentioning to the staff there that the Sales of Goods Act says that a mobile telephone should last much longer than the one year warranty, and as such they're obliged to replace it? Will they even have 3G's in stock as they no longer sell this model?
i just brought a 4s from sprint for 5 months, i drop it and crack the screen, then the phone turns off it self and can never turn on? is it possible that apple change one for ?

Just got a new iPhone 4 the other day. I was charging the phone and it fell, only a couple feet at most. There is a small crack in the back of the phone now, and it won't turn on anymore. My friend has a iPhone 4 as well and we swapped out the battery and the back housing (just to make sure that the crack didnt short anything out) but the symptoms persist.
I have it plugged into the wall charger now, tried doing a hard reset (holding home and power for some time) but nothing. This is very frustrating to think that the iPhone 4 is this fragile. Does anyone have any suggestions that I could try to get this device back up and running? Any help at all would be very appreciated.
I got a crack in the lcd glass, is there any way i can just change the glass instead of the whole lcd? and where do i get the original lcd?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe lock/unlock button has a crack next to it. I am afraid it will get bigger. The phone is 2 months old, the crack is from locking and unlocking, extra insurance through FUTURESHOP does not cover it apparently (last time I buy from them). This should not happen, does blackberry stand behind their products
View 1 Replies View Relatedi'm not trying to diss Apple even further as i am too a bit peeved that my iPhone suffers from the drop in 3G reception when holding the phone in the exact way i have holded every phone including my first Motorolla. You have to partially hold the bottom left even if it's just with your pinky finger under the bottom, to stop it slipping out of your hand. Why they just didnt include this areial at the top, who knows!?
Anyhow i noticed whilst doing speed tests and then looking for some wallpapers using safari (maybe 20mins continues use, max!) that the right hand side at the bottom, just bellow where the sim tray is seems to be getting very hot. Is this close to where the A4 chip is situated? I noticed to the touch with my finger it getting warm and also (how scientific this was) i rested the metal above my top lip to see how warm it was (as this area is more sensative) and clearly found that this small area was much hotter than everywhere else on the phone. Leaving it a further 5 mins on standby it seems to have decipited all the heat and is same temp all round again.
My only concern at this early stage is, what if i was using the internet for a longer period of time? Can anyone else confirm that this also does it on their iPhone 4's just to make sure it's not just mine. As i am wanting to fully test my iPhone before i go on holiday in a weeks time.
I noticed that my iPhone has the Phillips screws on the bottom, but the gallery on Apple.com's website shows Torx (star-shaped) screws. Anyone else notice that their screws are different?
View 8 Replies View Relatedwe can swipe from the top to get into the notification center, why don't we swipe from the bottom to get into the background?if you do that, you can also add a cabbage can in the background and users can drag the icons to the cabbage can to turn the application off.

Just had a major transplant and so bought Iphone to use at home - will be too ill to go anywhere for a while. Totally dependent on a Wi-Fi signal from router. It works on someone else's router. It failed with the WPA key so I turned privacy off and it still fails. It sees my router fine, and there is a tick beside it. But I can't get Wi-Fi in top left.

Staying away from WinterBoard since my phone feels overall much better without it. I currently use Five Row Springboard for 5 Icons across in one row. Is there any solution to have 5 going down (excluding the dock) sans WB? Had this when I had WB and loved it! I used it in conjunction with BossPapers No Icon Labeling. I would even get rid of the labels sans BossPaper if there was a quick way too! I can SSH in if it's a necessity, as long as it's a quick thing. Don't wan't to modify code too heavily.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo, i just got my iphone 4 like 15 minutes ago. I am syncing it now, but just noticed a yellow tint on a line on the bottom.I know some people said it went away and was just because of the screen 'curing'. Did yours go away?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have had an iphone 3G since Dec-2008 - obviously out of warranty now.Today, the bottom 20% of the screen or so went dead - it won't respond to touches, taps, slides, etc. The rest of the screen responds fine, but this portion is completely out of it.This is particularly problematic b/c it is all of the bar where my 4 favorite icons sit (SMS, Email, Web and Ipod). I did some googling and found the apple Article TS1827, but it didn't say what could be the cause, how to fix it, etc.
1) Any ideas what could be wrong?
2) I have a genius appointment later today, but what are the chances Apple actually fixes or replaces it?
3) What is the best suggestion as to how to fix it if i need to - places to go, or DIYs? Located in NYC.
I lost all 4 bottom icons; phone, safari, messages, ipod. Here is some background info, jailbreaked 3gs, 3.0.1. I was moving some icons around and trying to move it to another page. Then I look, all 4 of my icons on the bottom is gone. I tried turning it off then on. Doesnt work.
