Mar 24, 2012My wife and I both have an iphone 4s, both connected to the same icloud for synchronisation of our calendars.I have an annoying bug that is messing with my emoticons that are in my calendar (week calendar and iphone calendar) since updating to the latest IOS. I have a number of recurring events that have one or more icons(emoticons) in them for easier recognition. Almost all of these events show ?? where an emoticon used to be. The same happens on my ipod. On my wife's iphone all is ok, except if I change an emoticon on my phone, then she gets the ?? too.
It all worked perfectly fine until the latest IOS update.

Sep 26, 2011Is there any way to disable these highly annoying emoticons in text messages etc.? My phone always freezes for 5-10 seconds when the smiley "loads" after I've typed, for example, "" and this problem is making messaging rather difficult. I've updated the phone couple of times in the past month so that's not a working solution.

Jul 7, 2010I'm running v5.0.0.624. Is there a way to disable emoticons in SMS? For example, if I get an SMS with "Re: Powerpoint...", the ": P" gets turned into the "Tongue Out" emoticon.
Also, is SMS stripping out CR/LFs? I used to be able to receive messages formatted on several lines and this appears to be broken now.
HTC One M7 :: Emoticons Keyboard Rooted
Feb 8, 2014My husband's HTC one just got the latest update and he now has different "smiley" emoticons in his keyboard. His keyboard is stock and he's not rooted. The problem is no one can "see" the smiley he sends. On his end (in text message, again stock) they show up as "generic" once sent, on my end (galaxy s3, not updated past 4.1.2 yet) it's blank.

So I created an updated one etc and now it says under settings that the new one is in effect but when I go to the app store it has the old one. Mar 9, 2012I just bought a Samsung galaxy s2 and I am trying to figure out how to get emoticons on the keyboard. Before this phone I had an iphone 4 and I assumed that the galaxy worked in the same way as you just download an emoticon app from the app market and then they were on your keyboard. Tried that a few times in the Market but it didnt put the emoticons in the keyboard. Instead it was a completely different text messaging app all together. Would be nice if i could get them on the keyboard that comes with the galaxy instead of a completely different text messaging app. I saw the if you hold down the period button you get a few smilies but they are just the ones like this for example =) =P.

May 19, 2012I just bought a brand new iphone from US' apple store to use in Canada with Rogers. I cut my own sim card and inserted into the sim tray of the iphone 4S. Unfortunately, it's reading the "insert a valid sim with no pin lock to activate iphone." My 4S is unlocked and it says so on the receipt as well. I've tried rebooting it and everything but it still reads that same message. I was wondering if it's something wrong with my iphone? should I go exchange it? I know the SIM isn't damaged because it still works on my blackberry despite the size.

I know how to save them as pictures and send a pic/video message, but I was wondering if there was a way to send them in a normal text message, or even add them to the "add" list itself.
