Is there a way to get additional emoticons to use in my texting app? I have downloaded different Emoji apps but cannot figure out how to get them into my texting app.

Hi! I have a friend who just LOVES to use smileys, graphics, icons and emoticons in her text messages, and she has an LG enV3. I was wondering for any of you cell phone gurus out there, is there a way to get new graphics for this phone so that they can be used in a regular text message?
I know how to save them as pictures and send a pic/video message, but I was wondering if there was a way to send them in a normal text message, or even add them to the "add" list itself. Perhaps a way to hack the phone? I'm surprised searching Google didn't render any results, that usually works, but if any of you guys can help out on this I'd be forever grateful!

View 4 Replies View RelatedI purchased the $100 per year additional storage, however, upon purchasing it, my phone has still not upgraded to the additional storage and will not allow me to take anymore pics; it says go to settings & upgrade storage, I did that already, but it is still reading the old 5 storage bites. I do not know what else to do! I tried to reboot my phone, that did not work, after rebooting I thought perhaps if hooked it up to my laptop and tried to sync it that might help, it says itunes cannot sync due to not having enough storage, go to settings to upgrade storage.

When I want to put some emoticons in text (Viber) its shows and send only one or two of them , others it just dosent show as emoticons but just sybols!

When we're SMSing and I use the emoticons , they don't show up like they're supposed to on her Incredible - she just gets the jumbled text characters, no emoticons . Is this a setting on her end? We've tried everything. If she uses the Incredible's smiley's in tm's to me, they show up fine on the BB Bold . . .

However, there is a strange little bug in it: Every time I type ":-)" in a text message, it will be replaced with a "sad face" icon (). I use Total Call Blocking with my carrier so that when I call anyone my number is automatically blocked / restricted. Therefore, in my contact list, I have my friends or family contacts listed with the *82 in front of the number to unblock for those people. This works fine for phone calls.
However, on Text Messaging / Picture Messaging, the *82 will cause these messages to fail. I am used to LG phones, you have the ability to edit the number while creating a message, before your send one of these messages. The problem I am having is when I send a Text Message / Picture Message it appears from the blackberry as only the 10 digit number (even though the contact has *82 in front of it)...and the message shows it is sent (with the check mark) but it NEVER received.

I started using my new iphone 4s yesterday but can not send any text messages to my contacts. I mannaged to get an iMessage to another iphone user but normal text messages to anyone who is not using iMessage won't go through. I have tried switching the phone off, taking out the sim, and a few other things in settings, but so far nothing has worked. Should the numbers in my contacts all include country code perhaps? I am in Australia.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I used to have that 1500 text messaging plan for $8.99 with the feature code TMS4 applied to my FAN account then I ended up switching to an unlimited plan before I got my iPhone 4. I want to now go back to that special plan but I called AT&T and they told me I had been grandfathered in on that plan previously before I switched to the unlimited plan and they wouldn't add it back on for me now. My question is did anyone that still had that texting plan get to keep it when they switched to their iPhone 4 or has anyone tried adding that plan to their current/new AT&T plan? If anyone is interested in helping me out by trying to add it to their plan now all you had to do was call 611 on your phone and ask the AT&T rep to add the TMS4 text messaging plan to your existing FAN account.

Why am I not getting text messages on my iPhone now that I get them on my iPad?

My text messaging has stopped showing the name of the recipient / sender, instead on the list screen I see the phone number, but for some reason the international +1 has been inserted in front. The +1 is not in my contacts, hence the phone no longer recognises the number as a specific person. It is not on all the numbers, just some of them. how to turn this off, or alternatively, to have all my numbers with +1 in contacts?
