When I want to put some emoticons in text (Viber) its shows and send only one or two of them , others it just dosent show as emoticons but just sybols!

Hi! I have a friend who just LOVES to use smileys, graphics, icons and emoticons in her text messages, and she has an LG enV3. I was wondering for any of you cell phone gurus out there, is there a way to get new graphics for this phone so that they can be used in a regular text message?
I know how to save them as pictures and send a pic/video message, but I was wondering if there was a way to send them in a normal text message, or even add them to the "add" list itself. Perhaps a way to hack the phone? I'm surprised searching Google didn't render any results, that usually works, but if any of you guys can help out on this I'd be forever grateful!

View 5 Replies View RelatedOk complete BB Newb here so please bear with me. I have a new 9650, my gf has a new Incredible (both Verizon). When we're SMSing and I use the emoticons , they don't show up like they're supposed to on her Incredible - she just gets the jumbled text characters, no emoticons . Is this a setting on her end? We've tried everything. If she uses the Incredible's smiley's in tm's to me, they show up fine on the BB Bold . . .

However, there is a strange little bug in it: Every time I type ":-)" in a text message, it will be replaced with a "sad face" icon (). View 2 Replies View RelatedI have discovered that some of my text messages are not being sent or received. Every text shows that it sends and shows a time within a few seconds. I would say I am 90% working fine, but important texts are falling through the cracks.Text messages I send with more than 160 characters auto blend into one message natively. Recipients are only receiving part #2.They never have received the first part on dozens of tries. Always the case from home and work. I'm connected to wifi at home and work. Oddly enough, I was able to disconnect from wifi and was able to send both parts of sms messages 4 out of 5 times. When i connected back to wifi, still only the 2nd part of the sms.A few of the regular sms messages that I confirmed didn't go through were more than 100 characters, but less than 160. So far, every small or low character count message has worked.
Didn't receive a couple of texts that I was able to verify were 100+ character texts. eems to be a larger message problem, but every picture I have sent has successfully gone through.Installed Go SMS tonight. Still had the issue when sending multipart texts that only text #2 came through.I spent quite a bit of time on the phone with Sprint today. We did a battery pull and he did a phone refresh remotely. I tried a test text while he was on the phone. I sent a 2 parter to my wife and it was received. I thought the problem was fixed, but the very next 2 part text only showed the 2nd part of the message. I have not been able to get a 2 parter to go through since.
Today I got an X10 (as a replacement phone for a series of faulty HTC Desires) and I'm just wondering if there is a way to disable the emoticons so that they don't show the little pictures, just the text? or change them to the little android ones shown on the Desire. Also, I'd like to change it from the moody dark blue theme to something a little bit less depressing!

I got the X8 a couple of days ago, but not being able to send texts is bothering me. I am with Vodafone Ireland, I refreshed the SMSC number and it says "+35387699989,145". The +35387699989 part is correct, but I'm not sure why the ,145 is there. I have tried removing the, 145 part and hitting update, but I get an update error. The phone has 47.27MB Available Space. It's running Android 2.1 (I purchased the phone with it already installed). I have tried several different sims including a new one I got today.

So I went through and got rid of a heap of stuff - songs, videos the kinda things that are big files, and still no change.
My phone memory has 368kb free and my memory card has 3734 mb of free memory.Was working perfectly fine yesterday with more data and my phone stores about 1000 messages pretty easily, several videos, songs etc..
