IPhone :: Saying To Insert A Sim While It Is Inserted?
May 13, 2012
I live overseas but I got my iPhone from online in the states. I updated and now my iphone is instructing me to insert a SIM (which I dont have) and it won't let me load my iPhone. Is the a way to use my phone as an Ipod or is my phne just an overpriced paperweight now??
i try to upgrade my iphone 3gs to ios5, but when all done suddenly my iphone couldnt open due to out of coverage. On the itunes says that 'there is no simcard inserted on your phone' why could it be happen like this?
when i tired to activate an iphone bought off a friend it says the sim car inserted in this iphone does not appear to be supported. he seems to think its unlocked but i cant activate it.
I just sold my 3GS and I'm trying to use my old 2G iPhone. But when I put the sim in its says "The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported" So I went to AT&T and got a new SIM card only to have the same thing happen. any suggestions? I can't go 17 days without a phone.
I was restored the iphone setting using itunes. after restore i got the "the sim card inserted in this phone does not apper to be supported" message appeared in i tunes and my iphone in emergency call mode only...
I was asked did i want to update my iphone to the new IOS 5.1 and i clicked on update but now it doesn't recgonise my iphone anymore and I just keep getting a message 'There is No SIM Card installed on the iPhone you are attemting to activate'. is there anyway of restoring it to the previous software??
It was working fine first when it came but it didn't have any of my data on it and it was jail broken. I researched into this and it said that a restore of the software would get rid of that and then I'd be able to put my own data onto it. It was extracting the software everything seemed like a normal restore but then it came up with the message "the SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported" I cannot get passed it and O2 (I'm in the uk) the staff in my local shop just didn't have a clue what to do.
I have an Apple iPhone4s. I have WhatsApp on my phone. I have donwloaded emoticons also but don't know how to access these when I wrting a message to someone.
I had to restore my iphone so when I did it the phone remembered my old Apple ID. So I created an updated one etc and now it says under settings that the new one is in effect but when I go to the app store it has the old one. I have logged out etc but the old one keeps popping up when I try to update or download an app.
I recently upgraded from an iPhone 3G to a 4S. I had neglected to backup my photos and would like to archive my SIMM card from the 3G. Can I insert the old Sim in the 4s, do a sync and replace the Sim with the newer one?
I just bought a brand new iphone from US' apple store to use in Canada with Rogers. I cut my own sim card and inserted into the sim tray of the iphone 4S. Unfortunately, it's reading the "insert a valid sim with no pin lock to activate iphone." My 4S is unlocked and it says so on the receipt as well. I've tried rebooting it and everything but it still reads that same message. I was wondering if it's something wrong with my iphone? should I go exchange it? I know the SIM isn't damaged because it still works on my blackberry despite the size.
After i updated my iphone it askes me "please insert suported sim that comes with the phone'' but i don't have the sim card that comes with this phone.
My son has passed his iphone 4s on to me as he now has a new one, he has had it unlocked from his carrier, but when I try to connect via itunes I get the message 'The SIM card inserted in this iphone does not appear to be supported'. I have read numerous posts and support pages and most say to restore the phone and all will be well. The problem I have is how do I restore the phone if I can't connect to itunes?
Sometimes (i.e. very often) when I am on a phone call on the iphone 6, and using headphones, the volume goes to maximum and stays there. Pressing the decrease volume button shows the graphic going down and the volume briefly goes down, but then immediately ramps upto maximum volume again. Taking out the headphones and just holding the phone to my hear, enables me to get normal volume again during the call.Â
I think this is nearly exclusively a problem with Headphones + phone calls. Does I need to replace the earphones or the phone?Â
I'm using my internationally unlocked HTC ONE M8 since 2 months. All of a sudden the phone was sometimes saying "No sim inserted" message but after few minutes the phone became normal. After 2-3 weeks no matter what I do my HTC M8 is constantly giving "No sim inserted" error. I tried cleaning the golden spots, readjusting the sim placement, restarting the phone with/without "fast boot" and I even tried the two layer thin tape method but everything failed on me. But apart from "no sim inserted" error, the phone is working perfectly.
