Recently I found a little white dot occur on my display which is consistent all the time, I've checked it isn't any dirt etc. I think it may be a faulty pixel or LED, but I'm not sure what to do about it. Bit annoyed as it occurred only days after I got my iPhone replaced?
A new problem has developed with my phone. It's hard to describe but it looks as if there is fluid under the screen (I don't have a screen protector btw). You can push the bubble of fluid (if that's what it is) around with your finger and see it move under the screen. Most unsettling. I'm at a complete loss to know what to do. MY PHONE AT NO TIME HAS GOT WET OR EVEN SPLASHED - I'VE KEPT IT COMPLETELY DRY. I HAVEN'T EVEN HANDLED IT WITH WET HANDS.
The problem is only visible on the home screen and it's not affecting the functionality of the phone in any way. However, it's a bad problem because now I've lost all security on my phone - it doesn't ask for a fingerprint swipe any more so anyone can immediately gain access to my phone merely by touching the bubble.
Interestingly, the problem disappears completely if I run the Samsung Galaxy S6 4G in Safe Mode.
i have a nokia 5130-c2 xm for about a year and a half but i only used it for about 11 months but the other months it went for repairs 3 times. 1st time it displayed a massage "contact service"(needed a firmware upgrade from version 6.6). 2nd & 3rd time it never wanted to boot like when windows on your pc never loaded. Now the 4th time is near, not even a month has passed since i went to collect my repaired phone. Would you say the device its self is faulty or just the firmware. I never went to sites that could send me viruses or use any other themes(custom) just wanna know if i should request a new phone since i still have 6 months of warranty left.
this is the second iphone 4 iv'e had (last one was defective too)and i see a black pixel near the Internet icon & it's driving me nuts. my facetime keeps failing after 1 minute, this is 4.0.2 that i'm on... suggestions?
A small pixel in my iphone 4s is not working and i know its not a big deal but when i watch a video i can see it ight at the top and it anoys me. Is it worth asking apple for a new iPhone?
I found there is a very little tiny white dot that I doubt might be a dead pixel on my iphone 4s screen. It hard to notice only when the screen turns totally black such as power off and on the iPhone. I've just bought my iPhone 4s January from the Yoobee and I covered the screen with protective film once I had bought the phone. Do I really need to get a replacement?
I am trying to create a custom map for iOS. For the time being I am using Openstreetmap images for the custom map app.Now what I want is to convert the pixel point to Latitude and Longitude value at a particular zoom level. I am finding out the tile(pixel point) in which I clicked. I need to find out the Lat and Long of that particular point. How this can be calculated? Is there any general formula to find the Lat & Long from pixel point.
I have just had my first iphone exchanged today at the apple store for a new one - faulty microphone. They started it all up for me, and I came home and synced all my apps etc. But i found that they weren't downloading and I couldn't access safari and therefore couldn't open up gmail etc. So I decided to restore my iphone to original settings. That has helped with being able to download all my apps but I still can't access safari. I'm not sure what to do now. And feel that I will have to return to town and get it sorted out.
My daughter-in-law is getting yellowish pictures from her camera in the iPhone 5c. She was told it meant not enough light, but they all turn out the same whether in shade or light, so I'm wondering if there is something wrong with the camera? Here's a typical example
There are several weather related 3rd party apps being sold in the Apple App Store that offer to provide push notifications in the event of severe weather at the iPhone users location. However,I believe these apps are NOT pushing the warning out to users immediately when the National Weather Service issues the warning.I suspect it is due to how the app developers are handling (and footing the cost) of pushing the data. Many times the warning notification comes AFTER a storm has passed. This is extremely dangerous and it would be appreciated if Apple could investigate this problem, which could serve to help public safety.
I have a Sprint HTC One. I have an issue with my screen. One pixel at the bottom of the screen is pink in certain backgrounds. While this is not a deal breaker, it is very annoying and I want to fix it. It reappeared after about 2 weeks of it going away. The first time it came, I was on CyanogenMod 11. Now I am on 4.4.2 100% stock Sense. I have performed a factory reset. The pixel is pink even when in recovery and fastboot (no Android OS).
I attempted a screen flush with one of those flashing screen programs on Google Play store, and ran it for separate 10 hour and 8 hour intervals, with no luck. I bought this device used and the bootloader has been unlocked, so warranty claim is probably going to cost more than it is worth.
I just get LG G3 and see 3 places with dead pixels, one is really hard to see but it is here, second is like 2x larger and third is 3x larger (its still really small point on screen). Its almost week over so i can send it back on next week.
I recently bought a 5800 and it has a dead pixel on the screen. I was really looking forward to getting this phone and I am now quite disappointed (and disgusted by the service I was offered here in Malta!). I returned it to the shop where I bought it and was told that I have to have at least 5 dead pixels for me to be able to change it. Is this true?
It is still under guarantee as it hasn't even been a month since the date of purchase. They tried to feed me so much bull (including: the laws do not apply for Malta and that i had to go back within the first seven days EVEN THOUGH it clearly says on the guarantee that I have a 30-day period from the date of purchase to take it back).
I jut got my new 9700 today and am really liking it so far. I just want to check if the screen is ok. When i go to option -> status -> type test and do the screen test, it does not toggle after red. The red screen is the only one I can see. Is there any other dead pixel checker out there.
I have the strangest stuck pixel. If I select the purple HTC one wallpaper 4th from the end from the stock wallpapers, I have a green stuck pixel on the right edge about halfway up.
But if I select a purple image or the same image from the htc wallpaper app on the google play store, it isn't there.
I'm using google as my search engine in the default browser for the N86. For some reason, results given by google are now often inaccessible i.e. when i click the results nothing happens. But sometimes all the results can be accessed, other times only a few - which is pretty random and weird. I've got no idea what's going on.
I just noticed today that the trackpad on my phone has become super sensitive, but not for scrolling, only when pressing down to open apps. It's weird. It seems like it's sunken down and not level with the other buttons anymore and actually tilts down towards the keyboard. I've only had this phone for about a month and was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if it is truly a faulty trackpad. If so then its back to AT&T for a replacement!
In short - i purchased a 2nd user bold 9780 off eBay back in April / May timeThe phone was like new and worked fine until recently the thing began turning itself off. There is no pattern to it - its very irregular which makes it even more annoying.Essentially i will be writing a SMS or BBM and it will turn off. I then have to take the battery out and reboot the phone. This can happen once a day, or every couple of minutes. Now .... i believe the phone is still in warranty so i went to the vendor who originally sold the phone to the person i bought it off (Virgin Media) I know this as it's their branding all over the phone / box.
Firstly Virgin where reluctant to help me as i wasn't the person who originally purchased the phone. This i didn't buy as, at the end of the the phone is still in warranty. After the half witt behind made to enquires and checked the serial number of the phone against there records - it showed that the previous owners owes Virgin Media money on a outstanding bill .
I bought new lcd..because my old one cracked. The process of change run smooth.. But when i turn on phone my capacitive buttons doesn't react. The lighs turn on when phone Boots and shutdown.
So my questions are:
-can be lcd defective? -only thing that communicate is lcd flat cable connect to mainboard? -buttons zone are controlled by digitizer right? Or are related with power board where buttons are?
I just have bought a Nokia X2 mobile a week before. The main reason to buy that mobile is, 5.0 mega pixel camera and some new features which is not in other branded mobiles. After that, I was disappointed and shocked because of the camera is not having the clarity is equivalent to the 5 mega pixel. It seems like 1.x. I don't know Do I need to apply any settings or Is this a manufacturing defect?
Already done camera settings as the following. Camera pixel : 5.0 mp. Flash light : off
Even though, I'm capturing the photos with worst quality like darkness. I have attached an image which was taken using my mobile with worst quality (i.e. Nokia X2). I had good trust on Nokia branded mobiles.
I've spotted a defective pixel (bright white very small dot) on my 2 weeks old Xperia Ray. I've searched for Sony Ericsson's defective pixel policy on smartphones but couldn't find any info on it. So, this is my first question, what is SE policy on defective pixels? The second question is, are there any ways of fixing this without changing the phone? Is this considered a stuck or a dead pixel?
Went to the AT&T store and I was surprised at how light it was. Guess I've been lifting too much with my 920. I was also surprised at the thinness. Anyway, a couple of questions:
1) if I select only 5MP shooting, is there still a delay between shots? 2) what's the pixel length and width of a 5MP image? 3) not really a 5MP question, but how close can you get to your subject (I heard not as close as a 920)?
I seem to have exhausted the internet in looking for a solution.
Basically the music player short cut icon on the desktop(?) AND the 'last played' icon in the player do not work. What this leads to is if I start playing a song and move away from that playing page I cannot get back and switch off the music!
I have tried re-installing the firmware but to no avail.
I have a 9700 and over the last 2 days when I try to make a call the phone switches between headphones and headset and if I try to select options and activate headset the phone completely ignores the request and keeps switching between functions , the only way I can make a call is to put ipod headphones into the jack port and then I can select activate handset and the phone will let me make a call normally , however if I pull the headphones out during a call it will start to switch between functions again .
I recently upgraded to a new BlackBerry Curve 9320 smartphone in about September 2012. Recently it is acting all faulty. It keeps locking and unlocking itself. The trackpad gets stuck and will not scroll but then will scroll in some apps or menus. Is it a software or hardware fault? What can I do to sort it out?
I used to be an employee at RIM until June of last year and at the end of July I purchased myself the white torch 9800.I have had nothing but problems with it regarding the battery life and the USB cable that came with it. My battery lasts 1 day if I am lucky and my USB cable does not always get recognized.I have been in contact with Rogers, had my phone in for repair, and reloaded my operating system with no luck. Tired to contact RIM support but got nowhere and Rogers is giving me the run around. All I need is a new battery and honestly I can't afford one nor do I feel I need to purchase one since the battery has been **bleep** since the beginning pretty much.
